  1. It's an army of renown, not a regiment of renown. It's kinda like a super-subfaction, in that it not only has its own special rules, but it also has its own command traits and artefacts (and probably can't use the regular traits and artefacts for the faction). I suspect its modelled on the new detachments system for 40k.
  2. A long shot, I know, but given Trugg apparently didn't have his antlers previously, and given the 'rock carving'on him, it makes me wonder if this might be a Kurnothi link of some kind.
  3. Squidoneth are cool but I am left rather longing for the point where they turn some of these side-game sealife designs into meatier actual units for Age of Sigmar.
  4. That's fair, but I would point at the Kruleboyz Monsta-Killazs warband beginning to move in on some of the hides-and-bones visual design territory of Bonespittaz, and now the Ragers entering the 'shirtless orc' arena and the Wrekkaz stepping into the 'powered up by spiritual energy' side of the Bonesplittaz themes as well. I think we'll see Bonesplittaz either getting shuffled off permanently or getting a really fundamental redesign, since I don't think otherwise they'd start blurring the edges with the other orruk subfactions in this way.
  5. I think a full overhaul/refresh for Bonesplittaz *could* work, in terms of clearing out the old grab-bag of concerning visual references, but it'd need to be a really strong and strikingly different look. Otherwise, my Hot Take is that AoS orruks would be better off having Bonesplittaz retired completely and replaced with a new orruk subfaction not weighed down by the old savage orc baggage at all. (Obviously this would suck for fans invested in the current bonesplittaz but it feels like something GW is probably going to need to tackle at some point).
  6. Those Gorgers are fantastic - such a huge improvement on the old models.
  7. Oddly, I find myself wanting to do quite a bright, vivid colour scheme despite the range's quite grounded design.
  8. Surprised in a good way by these! Didn't expect a skirmish hunter unit but it does make a lot of sense, and I really like the mix of hunting weapons they've got - axes, polearms, crossbows, throwing axes. Plus, of course, even more wonderful base gremlins.
  9. Shame to see pistoliers and demigryph knights go; I hope wel'll see eventual skirmish cav/superheavy cav replacements or resculpts for them at some point.
  10. One thing I will say is that I am desperate to see some of these new CoS models painted up in a less dour, more vibrant colour scheme.
  11. Interesting that they've very much gone for a fire-lance-esque design on the handguns!
  12. No surprise there, though I'd like to see them repainted to match the new CoS models' colour scheme to get a better idea of how well they look together.
  13. I tell you what, I'm really hoping we see more specialist wizards like the Alchemite coming for the other Winds/Realms.
  14. Hopefully these presage full redesigns for Plague Monks etc in AoS.
  15. Just saw some wag on the Twitch chat dub the alchemite warforger 'Balthazar Smelt'
  16. The fact the guy in the crows nest is called a fusil-major suggests vaguely to me that there will be a regular rank and file fusil soldier as well - a fusilier, if you will.
  17. That is one different-looking ogor. It looks much more like the really old style of WHFB ogre, from back before the Ogre Kingdoms, albeit without quite such exaggerated proportions like a massive head. There's a lot of detail on the wood as well and I wonder whether the carvings and grain are all modelled on or if they're painted at all.
  18. I'm outrageously keen for the new Cities of Sigmar stuff. My enthusiasm for Age of Sigmar is serving as a nice antidote to the more tiring experience of interacting with 40k and the community at the moment.
  19. Quite pleasantly understated in design, by comparison to general AoS aesthetics, which makes for a lovely contrast against other factions.
  20. Thank you, that's incredibly kind of you to say! I am feeling a bit proud, but it's just a small start, albeit hopefully one of many to come
