  1. Anyone tried something bonkers like running three bladebringers on exalted Seeker chariots? 750 points, 75 attacks. I realize it requires owning three (which I do...)
  2. Most will tell you units of 20 daemonettes are worthless; as soon as a single one dies, you lose the bonus exploding 6. Do either 10s or 30s. Also, battalion for only 2 units of shooting seekers is also pointless; their gift is in shooting, you’re using a combat based battalion.
  3. Sorry, I was texting fast. They blow for why I was suggesting. I really want to play around with the book; due to personal delays, I’m only getting the book and my pile of models on Tuesday. Kinda going off AoS app and 1d4chan for now.
  4. I think a big unit of twin-souls could be good with the Lurid Haze ability; teleport them in, charge, gives you a chance to decide how the reroll/5++ is most beneficial. I know it basically needs Cogs and charge re-rolls to effectively pull off; it’s not like charging in Siggy. But could be worthwhile.
  5. I actually own all these models already. And they’re all painted and ready to rock.
  6. So for the giggles... Pretenders list Keeper of Secrets w/Sinistrous Hand (Progeny of Damnation) Monarch of Lies, Craving Stare, Breath-taker Archaon (Born of Damnation) Ally Kairos 5 chaos Warriors 5 chaos Warriors 5 chaos Warriors Mesmerizing mirror Chronomatic Cogs Emerald Lifeswarm Double attacks for Archaon, make sure the LoD goes off when needed, and Kairos lets you fish for that needed box-cars on Archaon’s “to wound” attack. Lots of spells/abilities to heal wounds. Might swap to Faultless Bl@des. 18 bodies on the field, 3 endless spells. I have a feeling it’ll absolutely wipe hero-heavy lists and fail hard to objective capturing lists. But it should be fun! 2k on the dot.
  7. I kinda want to run Sigvald, Glutos, 6 Fiends, 2 units of Slickblades, two units of chaos Warriors (5 strong), 30 daemonettes and a mesmerizing mirror under Lurid Haze. If one unit gets to outflank, it’s Sigvald. Two units gets Glutos and the Fiends together where he can drop a mirror in the opponents backside. Three units does all of the above and hit from three sides at once. It’ll either work REALLY well or REALLY poorly! 😂
  8. I just checked my WD: if the hero does/takes a wound or mortal wound that generates DP, you get two instead of one. The wounds or MWs lead to damage taken that leads to a battleshock test. RAW...Syll Eske host allows for 2DP per W/MW that has an effect in the Battleshock phase caused by and dealt to your heroes. Just not when it comes from ESs or rank and files (unless they do damage to your heroes).
  9. In regard to Syll’Essk Host...when heroes cause or take wounds they generate double depravity. So why wouldn’t it just work that you keep a tally of wounds done by/to your heroes and wounds done by/to regular guys; the wounds involving your heroes generate 2DP, the ones involving your normies generate 1DP. It’s more book keeping, but it DOES work. And if a hero and a normie unit both cause DP on the same squad, a hero was involved so it’s worth 2. Seems to work fine to me with a little common sense.
  10. Haven’t people been using Namarti Thralls from the ID army? Just with a head swap. I was considering it, depending on cost.
  11. Depending on how the board lays out, a mesmerizing mirror and Spellportal/cacophony from a keeper can do a LOT of first turn damage and generate a lot of DP. I don’t even have the book yet and saw that and I plan on doing it. Sigvald outflanking as an invader is likely as another option.
  12. You didn’t like the official keeper?! You may be the first person I’ve heard say that (well, “see text that”).
  13. I’m pretty sure that’s one of things that will get FAQ’d. It’s pretty clear RAI that any wounds he deals that get through saves are taken, but RAW are muddy. I’m sure they’ll clear that up soon. He’ll absolutely be worth his 260pts once they do, right?
  14. So wait; I’ve read griping that Sigvald doesn’t have an effect on Morathi or Gotrek, but his wording absolutely negates their inability to suffer more than a certain number of wounds. Can someone explain to me why it doesn’t work? In addition, my initial plan is to have: sigvald (depending on answer) keeper epitome 3 units of 5 Chaos Warriors for Battleline 2 units of Slickblades a mesmerizing mirror Umbral Spellportal 240 points left (depending on SS cost) and add Syll’Eske and another ES or might trade it for the Seeker cavalcade and add more seekers. I think the mirror spell will hurt enemy movement from jump and possibly generate DP or outright murder heroes and a Spellportal combined with the Keeper’s base spell can do a lot of damage with going first. Combined with Seeker shock attack for a lot of DP generated from jump. Aggressive and sneaky, and the seekers don’t need to commit if the spells fail.
  15. I’m looking forward to this. I really am. I see the spellportal ES making it into my list each time I run a wizard heavy list to ping MWs for depravity, or Cogs every time I run a charge focused list, as well as a Warshrine. Sigvald is going to be hanging out as well for that. I don’t need a book that’s so broken that every competitive player and their mom buys it. I want my chosen god/faction from 6th edition WHFB to play the way I want where I can surprise my opponent on the table and not do what is expected. I think I’m getting that with this book.
  16. Seeing how the Umbral portal specifically discusses sending endless spells through...you were lied to on Living City.
  17. Endless spell mirror chain to drop a purple sun/Ravenick’s jaws/burning head through, laugh if your opponent sends it back at you the next turn? seems like a nasty trick we can pull for true shenanigans
  18. Hellstriders going up? That’s ridiculous for sure. Bummer...I have five units. 25 hellstriders 3 keepers 40 seekers 90 daemonettes 3 hellflayers 6 chariots 2 exalted chariots One of each other hero. That’s about what I have to work with (pre-mortals). Oh, and 60 Marauders.
  19. I know you shouldn’t give exacts, but are points going up or down? Hoping KoSs are going down with how DP/Locus changes are showing. Otherwise they’ll be over costed as is at 380.
  20. Warhammer community just stated the Painbringer makes Myrmadesh and Twinsouls Battleline. apparently we all saw at once. Lol
  21. So prices are in the wild; I’ve seen them at multiple places now for ordering, so I’ll share for those who want to know. Sigvald: $55 Slaangors $50 myrmadesh: $60 seekers: $65 blissbarb archers: I’ve heard $50 and $40, so unsure Glutos: $115 both heroes: $30
  22. Yes, but that’s all I’m comfortable sharing for specifics. I’ve already got my order in; the prices are basically the same as equivalent Luminoth stuff. Cav slightly more. im actually bummed, I was hoping Cav would be $50, Myrmadesh would be $35...no go.
  23. Good call, I didn’t see him there. I was comparing to the archers in the back who I expect on 32mm and bases look way smaller (optics for distance aside)
