Daughters of Khaine took a subset of models from one army and added in some more bits of Greek myth to make a couple of extra units that fit the existing look while still being quite different.

We might see something similar with the Sons.  OTOH...we might get o e of those armies that have a distinct disparity in component races.  For example, Ogors and their little green buddies.

The trend with new AoS sculpts seems to be towards bolder, less generic sculpts. I would be surprised if we see new giants that are just bigger versions of the current Aleguzzler model.  I think GW will want to push the envelope more.

Look at the details they put into the bigger Troggoths.  Big kits can end up a bit dull if they lack not just detail, but opportunities to build different variants and poses.

I cannot wait to see what they put out. GW AOS kits are absolutely insane in the level of detail and the poses the models can have. If we only and realistically will get a couple models, I hope the posing can be very dynamic. Crouched models, lunging, swinging, picking things up, kicking anything more than the monopose Aleguzzlar.

But they aren't really a 'new' army, are they? They'll almost certainly be intended to mesh with the visual style of the extant giant model. AoS armies are considerably more homogeneous in their design flavour than Warhammer Fantasy armies.

Who knows what theyll look like. I believe the Aleguzzlar may end up being the runt of the Sons.

Most new armes ar based on a mixup of historc cultures. Wath do you think Sones of Bermhat wil be based on and what are your hopes? Im holding my thumbs for old Skandinavien gigants

Norse/Skandinavien would be epic for the Gargants.

BAH! If they didn't do it for Lizardmen then they are clearly saving it for either a dragon or Exodites. Giants can get their own thing - vibrating water tricks should be for dragons and lizards and dinosaurs.

OR how about Peachy comes into the Office having sold their Bugmans Brew Recipe for Beans...Magic Beans.

They will be missing a huge opertunity If they dont use some sort of Jurassic park gag for it. Like peachy going to sip his tea and suddenly it starts to ripple.

This. I've been saying the should do the old Jurassic Park water trick with the announcement. Though Peachy and his tea would be perfect.

I'm mostly looking forward to see Sons of Behemath, but if I dare to dream I admit the idea of Chaos Dwarves returning would be sweet indeed - but I doubt it is something that will happen anytime soon, if ever.

Otherwise I'm content, but I really like the Specialist Games GW produces so I will be keeping an eye on those reveals too.

Anything Sons I'll take. Be it concept art, a base, the Battletome Cover, a glass of water trembling with Sons of Behemat underneath it. Anything to confirm their existence. If they are fully announced my mind will be blown.

I've been trying to temper my hype, but the prospect of seeing Gargants tomorrow1 is just....mmmh!

    1. I can say this as it's Friday where I live, hohhhohohoh!

I've yet to be this hyped about a Warhammer release in my life. This has been a dream army of mine for over 20 years and I just cannot wait!!

Doctor: Uh oh, I've seen this before.

    Nurse: What is it doctor?!

Doctor: He's getting his hopes up for a speculative new army.  That can only mean 1 thing.

    Nurse: No!

Doctor: That's right. The AoS announcements this weekend will be limited to a more official preview of the recent Lumineth we've seen in the Lowdowns, plus a warcry warband.  His disappointment will be so crushing... he may lose all faith in future previews...

    Nurse: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

This made my sides hurt loved it. Luckily my expectations may yet be met!! If not this weekend then on the 4th and if not then, then WarhammerFest and if not then!? Who knows but the God-King.

Nurse: *Sobbing* But Doctor, isn’t there anything we can do?!

Doctor: No...... I’m afraid the only thing we can do is pray that the patient realizes that the hobby is not dead just because the previews didn’t fit his expectations.

    Nurse: *Sobs even harder*

edit: Thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all quarantine.

    *A standing ovation.

I'd imagine that'd be the case since gargants already work so closely with Destruction forces and even serve the other grand alliances as mercs, soldiers and workers.

Unless there's something really strange with them like a curse they should be a very compatible army.

Bigger. I want them to unleash the Kattanaks(three headed-bear monsters with frost breath). :D

    Kattanacks it is!!

Unfortunately. only if you are big business or work for one.  Those of us who are self-employed have been hung out to dry by our government.  It has come as no surprise given who's running it.

I'm sorry to hear mate. Hopefully this passes sooner now because of the Lockdown and things can pick up again.

actually with the Seraphon release, there a good chance the Bonegrinder Gargant may get the Dread Saurian treatment and get a upgraded warscroll when the army release

Hopefully so, I've never been able to get my hands on a Bonegrinder.

I'm glad they're looking after their staff but man am I kicking myself for putting off going out and grabbing some boxes while I had the chance. Is there any word on whether or not they'll still be updating the community site? I'm chomping at the bit for the reveals they had planned for adeptacon.

They have stated they will continue updating Warhammer Community. Hopefully they still reveal their full schedule they had planned for Adepticon, though I would understand if they held off on some things now to slowly spread it out more. I'd rather them not...but I'd understand.

Ah well, more important stuff going on now than revealing some Aelves. We’ll all, somehow, survive with what we’ve got to hand, I’m sure.

Now more importantly fingers crossed staff at head office, the warehouses and shops will get treated right & still get paid through all this.

I believe it's up to 80% of the wage in the UK can be paid.

I belive that GW HQ has already concidered the option of closing production and logistic due to corona even before Adepticon was canceled. Therefore I would assume them that the previews are planed nevertheless to happen.

Just hoping the Previews can still go ahead as no doubt they're pre taped and articles can be done from home. I'm 100% behind GW closing down, I cannot believe Sports Direct had the gall to call themselves essential.
