Okay maybe the prophecy was wrong...
But in all seriousness those models are both fantastic and show so much promise for their respective factions. Two armies I have a deep love for but never really high on my priority to collect. If future releases keep up this standard I could imagine some flamming duardin or Tau making it into my collection.- 1

Often times our good friend simply likes posts because they are interesting, and people will take it as a hint of a rumour.
For example leading up to the release of a book someone might propose a cool unit, and Whitefang joins in on the likes. Then everyone sees that as a confirmation of the proposed unit when in fact it is simply a cool concept.- 8

I mean it is pretty simple fans of Space Marines like the aesthetic. It is the same reason I default towards Chaos.
Aesthetics are subjective and the Gothic Sci-fi aesthetic of the imperium is not my favourite. That is why I tend to favour Xenos in 40k.

I have a plan of execution for the pile of shame and a New Army adding to it:
Immediate focus: My first objective is to complete my Necrons, they are painted and based but some fine detail is needed and I have room for a single additional character or unit to round it out to 2000 points. I have some terrain that I also want to finish off during this period. I also have Purchased Hunter and Hunted and will try and get the Gorgers done during this time.
Winter: As a Canadian, it is not the best weather for priming so my top priority will be working on Chaos backlog during this time, I have my still unbuilt Chaos Knights for 40k that will need to be magnetized which causes me actual anxiety, and then I have the Slaves to Darkness Army Box (the one that released with chosen and ogroids), Be'lakor, Varanguard and Darkoath Savagers. Once they are built it will hopefully be warmer and I can begin to paint them.
Spring: This is when I can start my Cities in earnest. I will play around with digital test schemes but once the weather improves I will work on building and painting my new army. I just have the Army Box and the Hunter Hunted set so I will slowly build this army throughout the spring.
Summer: New edition that I will try not to buy, but as a stormcast player I will be very tempted. I will probably wait for the starter set with terrain and then sell off the mice. I will also use this time to maybe build a small board for Warcry and Kill team.
Fall: Last chance to really prime models and start list building and playing the new edition of AOS. I will probably use this time to buy one off purchases to build around rules changes, especially if we get heroes attached to units like in 40K. The one that sticks out is getting some Dracothian Guard to pair with my Lord Celestant on Dracoth.
Then wintertime, see if there is a good battleforce for cities, chaos space marines or unlikely chaos demons. -
I am calling it now folks,
On December 31st we will see a 40k reveal showcasing the new Dark Mechanicum range. On January 31st we shall get the reveal of Chaos Dwarves.
THE PROPHECY IS SPOKEN:

I hope someone gets the classic serpentine dragons from WHFB… maybe Lumineth, would work well with their slightly oriental/eastern design cues! More dragons would be cool in general, sea dragons for IDK, chaos dragons… so many cool dragons could be added to AoS!
MitGas wanting something new for Lumineth, it is an Xmas Miracle!
Then again some dragons to convert to Tzeentch sounds pretty on brand.- 1

I’m starting to get to a point where I’m thinking Kurnothi is just a Mandela Effect within AoS.
Oh don't be silly that is the most ridiculous nonsen...
Huh, I guess Kurnothi were never real.- 3

I am calling it that my theory on Wardancers is accurate, something about that pose seems to suggest a more fluid style of movement.

Do these silhouettes resolve any more rumour engines or advent images?

I am not a fan of ScE redesign and quite nostalgic for OG Liberators. New ScE do not look better than old ones. Creativity doesn't have to mean "completely different aesthetic" (this last complaint is more about CoS).
I am a bit of an odd duck as I like the old designs and love the new ones. But I am particularly a fan of seeing them side by side. I wish the old style had a better save and less mobility to differentiate the aethetics in terms of gameplay.
In all fairness I only have a unit of sequitors, castigators, longstrike raptors and two heroes. But they look cool mixed in with the rest of the army.
I feel like an ancient order of angelic immortals having generations of different weapons and Armour to represent the period they were reforged.

Oh this is fun, if only I had written a song that mixed speculation with parody to cover such things. Oh darn maybe next year.
But in all seriousness I think you are right on the money although I do wonder if the cloak is tied to our Lady of Ruin?
As I feel like the reveals might simply be the Lady of Ruin and a warcry set of Kurnoth vs Nighthaunt.

Something you all probably know by now I love Chaos, and I am not a fan of Space Marines. Something you may not know is that I have a fondness for Knights and a soft spot for Dark Angels of all Space Marine Chapters. Seeing these models makes me very tempted to start up a Fallen Chaos Space Marine Army, using Horus Heresy and these new Dark Angels for Chosen.
Unfortunately, I have just started Cities of Sigmar and a Fallen Army is just beyond my budget. -

Lot of RE's working the poisoner angle at this point, and the clean gothic styling points away from Nurgle or Skaven to me, while the hands rule out humans. I'm going to put the clues together and say NH Warcry Warband for the next boxset with a poisoner theme.
Something about ghosts collecting poisons from the forests fighting against Kurnothi sounds cool to me.

So last year we had 3 articles/video teaser , one for each main system: AoS / HH / 40K
On 28th/29th/30th December
This was for AoS/Mortal Realms: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/12/28/whats-in-store-for-warhammer-age-of-sigmar-in-2023/
I thought based on Warcom Reveals the Three Big Systems were Necromunda, Blood Bowl and Horus Heresy?

I know it won't happen but I hope that the Lady of Ruin has some Crom callbacks in her design. Always loved that model, even if she is mounted that shield and helmet were class.

I also caved and got Hunter and Hunted. I was planning to start a Wildercorps warband but went Freeguild Cities in the end. Played them in their first campaign battle against Skaven on Tuesday and they were very effective. Much more powerful than old cities. Did you win the chocolate @Neverchosen?
I did win the Chocolate, but gave it to my friend as a consolation. If my time within the pits of the Varanspire has taught me one thing it is the importance of good sportsmanship.
I just got the Cities starter box as an Early Xmas gift and so Hunter/Hunted was my first addition to the army, but it will be a project for the new year as I am currently finishing my first 40k army with some scrappy rusted Necrons.- 1

If Sylvaneth get further support for their Kurnothi range I choose to believe that the Dawnbringer Crusade ends with the Revelation that he is hunting Morghur and that next edition we will see an expansion of the Sylvanth and have them battling Beasts of Chaos (with a hopeful range refresh).

Lets make this Triple post into something fun:
I had a great Warcry battle yesterday and recently purchased Hunter/Hunted and so I am totally using that as the means of looking at this rumour engine release. Hopefully some Kurnothi are coming with some natural terrain or Darkoath with some fun Scatter Chaos Idolatry.- 1

I mean good shout but I don’t know if that’s a riding pose. First thought was just slightly upraised leg with the scenery cropped out.
Yeah I saw this as a leaping pose.
Maybe a Kurnothi update of a wardancer mid jeté.
I love that it is hard to determine between Darkoath and Kurnoth as either one makes me happy. I feel like Kurnothi Wardancers would make the most epic Warcry/Underworlds Warband.
Oh not the dreaded Tripple Post, Mods save me!- 4

I actually feel a little odd about any of the Gods being locked to a specific faction, as I feel like they are representatives of their Grand Alliances with their armies being cults focused on their worship. This is only a real issue with Order at the moment as Kragonos and Nagash are useable across various armies within their Alliance. Alarielle leading a force of atheistic Kharadron in hopes of preserving life and showing that nature has more power than any machine feels like a cool narrative idea.
I am fine if we never see this idea implemented but I just feel like the manner in which AOS follows many traditional polytheistic myths it would make sense for the Gods to become more involved in each others followers. Like how many Gods got involved in the Trojan War or the Kurukshetra War.
