I generally prefer when systems raise up the weaker options instead of dropping down the "one good" choice. Know what I mean? Could end up with a situation where petrifex is nerfed, but nothing else changed and that'd be pretty unfortunate.

I'm running petrifex, mainly because i'm new and they seem like a good way to help offset that slightly. Also my local meta seems like people run both optimized lists and Rule of Cool lists. So i'll definitely run a different legion or different builds if i start to notice people playing For Fun lists are not having a good time. Most of the models i thought were cool (And.. let's be honest, i sort of bought the whole range because i love their look) also happen to be some of our "Stronger" units. Like, I absolutely LOVE how the harvester looks and will probably run at least one or two.

That's a good question. Crawlers do 5 damage on their attacks, no rend though. Maybe it depends on who your opponent is?

Hm you're right. Doesn't seem worth taking if you lose out on the nadirite ability and the spells too for just a +1 to wound if you are taking swords.

Hey guys, dumb question, but does the spell "enhance battle shields" also buff your mortek guard that have the soulcleaver greatblade? The warscrolls says you replace only the weapon option so... Are they still considered to have their shields?

Unfortunately I haven't had nearly enough time to paint. But I did finish my test model for the army! Just have another 20 guard to build and the crawler to build, then I'll start knocking out my 1k points.

I haven't picked up a harvester yet, but by nagash I have an intense need for that model

Reroll to hit 6s could be the spell Drain Vitality? I imagine it would be pretty useful against armies that have stuff like "on an unmodified 6, do X"
