The additional generated hit already hits the target. You move straight onto To Wound rolls after that. There's no chance of generating additional hits again.

Oh, so I don't even need to roll to hit with the exploding dice. Ok, I'll have to do some calculations then.
    Cheers Roark.

  3. Behold, my shiny and exotic creations!
So I've got a few models I want to try, like the Errant Questor that I bought second hand (it means it's well painted ha!), so i'm going to lay down silly lists with silly combos mixed in with some less silly stuff.
    Feel free to chime in!

Yes, generating the number of attacks based on d6 is random. However the ballistas have significantly longer range, and are more durable in terms of save and wounds per point compared to vanguard raptors. They do not have to cower in fear of getting shot by bastiladons, steagadons, ossiarch catapults, arrer boyz or Lumineth archers unlike vanguard raptors. Another advantage of the ballistas is that their effectiveness do not diminish against coalesced Seraphon, against which vanguard raptors are even more powerless.

They do get +2 to save if in cover but otherwise, they've got a shorter range if you want use their maximum output, which you should.

    Phase ;)

Don't know why, but at first not knowing what you were talking about @schwabbele, made the words "Is this some kind of sick joke" mixed with "that I don't understand" (from Ugly's kid joe song : "Are you the guys on the beach that hate everything? Eww! Is this some sort of hip music that I don't understand?") pop up in my mind, and now, I'll be listening to Ugly Kid Joe all day :D

Any thoughts on how to reallocate the 210 pts? Maybe just commit to the 1x9 Longstrikes and add another 1x3 Birds?

Seems like the best option is to increase the number of bodies in the units you've already got, yes. That is if you want to keep a one drop army list.

Let’s support our FLGS’s where possible I guess!
Mine is really good and always has my orders ready for pickup.

    You're lucky!
My "friendly local non gw game shop" is not quite friendly.

I could buy directly from GW, since the GW shop manager is quite a nice dude, but the price difference is really too much for me to buy there. There's a 45E difference between me buying locally and me ordering in the Uk.
Tbh i'm already buying second hand whenever I can, this hobby has become ludicrously expensive compared to what it was even 8 years ago.

Yeah, la poste is generally pretty thorough nowadays but it can be a little slow, and compared to the postal service back home (Ireland) it can take a while longer.

The virus also slowed things down a bit, I’m finding even now that my packages are arriving a few days later than they normally would, but I’ve never had something not get delivered. UPS France however is absolute GARBAGE (at least in my city) and unfortunately that is who GW uses. Got my lumineth box this week, it was late and I waited all day for it to arrive only for the UPS delivery guy to drop it off at a collection point that was three miles away. He said I wasn’t home which is utter nonsense. Walking to get it in 30 degree weather made me very much support La Poste because they don’t pull these stunts.

Problem with the French La poste, is they often employ temporary workers. last time I had a problem with a delivery (was sent back to sender without any notice posted either on my door or postalbox), I saw a postman in the streets and talked with him. He told me "Man, you don't even know half of it. I'm a postman allright, last time, I was at my place, waiting for the package to arrive and the "postman" didn't come saying there was a meteorologic condition that prevented it( mind you, at that time, May, it was really sunny in my area)."

    So there's that. :)

@Maturin As an unscrupulous "la poste" employee I take exception to your statement!

In all seriousness, very rarely does postal theft happen.  We have internal postal inspectors who are very good and very thorough at their jobs.

You mean scrupulous then monsieur ;). I Hope that contrôles are strict. When I was younger a Friend of mine had a Friend working in "La Poste" who was systematically declaring Lost, the packagés coming from Japan. Don't know what happened to him but I Hope he at least got fired.

They are a bit generic but I think that's the point of all this artefacts.

Well, if Anvil of Apotheosis makes us able to tailor heroes, maybe it will compensate for that.
What I liked about those Malign Sorceries artifacts was it reminded me of WFB with a twist.

Well duh, but we're talking artefacts on a bubble, not "well this hero in this faction wouldn't need it so it's not that good."

Artifacts on a bubble ? Dude, before you "duh" me, please correct your sentence. It's weird.

You have your opinion, I have mine. I just gave you an example of a unit in a specific faction that gives a better ability than this artifact does.
Plus, I compared former artifacts, which for certain of them quite were powerful and/or interesting, to those dull new ones.
I also compared said artifact to the ability EVERY faction have, albeit for a CP.

You don't like what I say? It's ok, you've got the right to. But please be civil and nice.

Personally I like them but not for their informative value, just because it's fun to discuss them :D

Do you want a hot chocolate and croissant with that, moonsieur (with the french accent made by an american actor)?

I kinda feel I am alone with this, but I wish GW wouldn’t send out any copies early. Those leaks are so annoying.

Why ? I appreciate those leaks. It gives us an insight into the future. I don't like that future, but it's another topic.

Hysh's artefact looks good to me.

Depends on what you play. As SCE, we've got the AZyros which gives that on a bubble.
But other armies can use a CP for it anyway.
You really can't compare the possibility to equip an Ignax Scale like artifact and one giving rerolls of 1.

Remaming realm rules leaked in french. Here is a second hand google translate:

GUR: "Torque of the Predator" - You can reroll charges rolls for the carrier

GHYRAN: "Tiara of Renewal" -  In your hero phase you can heal 1 wound allocated to the wearer

HYSH: "Syari Finelame" -  You can reroll hit rolls for the carrier's melee weapon attacks

ULGU: "Foil of the Aigrefin" - You can reroll wound rolls of 1 for the wearer's melee weapon attacks

SHYISH: "Sepuchral Sand Brooch" - You can reroll save rolls of 1 for attacks that target the bearer.

where did you see them please ? i'm french, i'd like to read :)

  16. Hi guys,

Question about the Lumineth box. I ordered one from Element games last week. it was dispatched on monday. I haven't received yet. I didn't take the tracked option because it was too expensive (I'm in France).
How long did you guys out of the UK or in the Uk had to wait before you received it ? I fear my box might have been stolen by an unscrupulous "La poste" employee.
