This look awesome, I don't why but the whole helmet is just add a little more to the

so I'm still wondering if they going to show off the box with all these leaks because at this rate might as well especially since the trailer going to spoil the units might as well

i think a trailer for 4e is guaranteed. if the whole box isn't shown, i'm expecting new liberator and new clanrats/stormvermin being revealed first

Why would the old SCE archers be redone when we already have thunderstrike archers?

Avoiding some of the unneeded unit spam would be a good thing imo

Vigilors are the skirmishers and scouts who would be providing targets for the siegebow-esque Judicators. vigilors even give a +1 to hit units they've attacked, it's the perfect synergy

As ugly as they are in the game :(

they will look better--i think the helmets are fine and look like an anvil unit, but the bodies are going to be much sleeker than the video game. the reason they look so awkward in RoR is because they're using the same (chunky) skeleton rig as the classic liberators

That's either a soul-axe or a soul-hammer either way I'm getting into the Ruination Chamber.

it REALLY looks like death magic is part of the Ruination Chamber... I am once again spitballing that "Sigmar Lied" is from Nagash

some kind of modern DND/MTG setting where the worst thing that happens is someone says a bad word.

not really a fan of either of these IPs but i know that's reductive... both of them have transplanar threats, DND has the alignment system that literally damns entire species into Good or Evil. and IIRC for MTG, a lot of their high-cost cards could level cities pretty easily if not continents.

I think it’s worth noting that the GHR’s domain in the realm of chaos is called Ruin

"madness, grief, and ruin" maybe Madness is Khorne then? Aqshy-Shyish-GHR realms being smashed together?

It would be quite strange to have two different Big characters at the same time. It's pretty clear that the big character for Dawnbringers 6 will be The Lady of Ruin, which means that Ascended Khul is either just something we collectively made up, or he'll be coming later.

this is why i think him and Vandus are coming post-4e-launch in a matchup box. good way of introducing new Ruination and BOK with narrative stuff imho. it just doesn't seem right splitting their releases up unless Khul's ascension is what gets Vandus sent to the Ruination Chamber? but like you said, why would 2 new Chaos heroes be squished together?

What I find curious is that we have a miniature that mirrors so much the cover. We didn't have something that much 1:1 in terms of cover/box illustration vs a mini before. The pose is awesome.

the lady stormcast on 2e will finally be vindicated!

I wouldn't say they are the same. The 'look familiar' bit is a clear reference to the unit from the cover book.

i believe Loyd is saying Ruination Chamber is the "first" because it's based off Blanche's concept art

Analyzing the wings... it gotta be the new Prosecutors design. They cannot repeat the same issue they did with Liberators and Vindictors giving us new Prosecutors-like but from the Ruination chamber, right?... RIGHT?

what if you can add Ruination keyword to existing units? and they get bonuses based on this "death company" style Chamber?

Personally, I prefer having everything I need for a unit to be in one place, so that when I look at the warscroll for, say, the Command Corps, I can just read that the Great Herald adds movement to runs, charges and retreats, instead of flipping through the core book looking for what "Swiftness 1-3/12" or something means.

there's no reason why the warscroll can't have both a universal ability and a quick description imho, because yeah it did suck to flip through a not-battletome to remember stuff

Edit: Would be fantastic to read about Skaggy and a new Gitmob warlord (or even a glow up to Rippa) having to unite for a common enemy. 😉

i could 110% see this being how they introduce another destruction faction 👀

if Silent People are indeed Coming, then perhaps they're the anvil that stops Skaven from overrunning Ghur?

Kurnothi could help stop them in Ghyran

Fyreslayers expansion and/or COS duardin help stop Aqshy, maybe even Chorfs for the Chaos civil war

Tyrion for Hysh's defense with Phoenix + River Temple

Malerion revealed for Ulgu's fight against Skaven

Azyr would probably be Seraphon and maybe Ruination/Covenant Chamber?

    Chamon could be Gholemkind

Shyish is revelling in all the bones and souls the Skaven give, maybe too much? which allows other Death Gods to exist again. or Skaven become the dogs and other pack animals of OBR

EDIT: Whitefang liked my post suggesting it to be a troop from Ruination rather than a character. That would follow the pattern we had in the 2nd and 3rd editions.

oh really?? because the cover dude kinda reminds me of Blanche's concept art... which would make far more sense for the Ruination chamber than the army's whole aesthetic

Not a fan of the red ribbon ever since third came out, would've preferred it be a more neutral or colder color, but I'm excited to get my grubby little hand on the book! And learn more about the guy on the front (can it be Vandus??)

I prefer the red ribbon on the spine, though I do think the red on the front cuts off a bit much of the cover art

Also yeah, Sigmar isn’t a tyrant. In “Yndrasta: the Celestial Spear” he is actively helping Yndrasta remember her past to not lose herself and if they keep him like he is in “Pantheon” & “Soul Wars” he’s not exactly bad dude pushing others to fight for him.

thank you!! are the screenshots from Soul Wars?

I like that Sigmar feels more akin to "what if Thor had to become God-King" rather than just another version of Fantasy Odin.

This is the lie. There is no flaw. It works as intended, scrapping those parts of the soul which prevent reforging.

I've been told Sigmar has let souls that didn't want to return, pass on. Some Stormcast even sacrifice their souls to become Bifrost-esque Skybridges. @Baron Klatz or @Togetak probably have more input on Sigmar being a Regretful God-King. The Sacrosanct Chamber's entire purpose is to help the Reforging process both in the forge itself and by seeking out some kind of cure. I can see them keeping SOME secrets, but if there's no Natural Flaw then why are a THIRD of the Stormcast specifically geared and trained to combat the Flaw?

I'm not convinced the conspiracy could go so deep that there's no Natural Flaw period. It feels more likely, from everything written so far, that there IS a Natural Flaw due to the rushed implementation--but it can be made worse or be forced by the Six Smiths. If there's an Intentional element to the Flaw, then there's also an in-text reason for named models having favoritism.

However, this whole lie thing hinges on GW writing a GOOD conspiracy and... "grimderp" wasn't coined for no reason.

But he can teleport himself on Hammerhall only. From there, even using the Realmgate to Ghyran, there's a big chunk.

it feels implied he can instantly teleport between both sides/Realms of Hammerhal, but yeah she'd still have to fly out over to Verdigris?
