  1. It’s almost like when I’ve said countless times in this thread that they are a 3 and 2 counter meta army with the potential for an occasional 4 and 1 and 5 and 0 depending on player skill and favorable matchups that I knew what I was talking about.
  2. Your right your right, it’s reroll 1s on order and destruction and reroll everything versus chaos
  3. In praetorians only, and against order and destruction models.
  4. Katakros is the ultimate swing model. If you roll well for preventing the enemy from getting command points especially the first two to three turns you can completely hamstring a lot of armies main strategies. If you never stop a cp he probably won’t make back his points. I would say he is auto include in praetorians and a solid option everywhere else. 5 RD points per turn from him is nothing to ignore either.
  5. Unless you want to run troop horde recursion with katakros, a ton of mortek, and harvesters in crematorian. Punishing your opponent for even attacking your troops ala plague monks or if your part of a team tournament where null myriad shines as a counter pick to magic heavy armies slash if your store meta is magic heavy mortis praetorians is also the only way to run zandtos and katakros together successfully, as you benefit from all of their abilities, and realistically with a 36 inch range if you set him at center of table everyone will get the plus one to save from his ability regardless. The command trait is not as good as minus 1 rend but it’s not awful
  6. It’s really not. People in this thread are expecting petrifex to go all slaanesh on the meta and 5 and 0 every tournament. The army is simply not that good. It’s a 3 and 2 counter meta pick. Maybe 4 and 1 with the rare 5 and 0 under a good general and even better pairing luck
  7. It is. Play big waagh, ironjawz. Ogors, any high rend multi damage army agains them. Play games against it before you all freak out from book hammer experts.
  8. People need to stop freaking out about the army Until they play it. I’ve gotten a few games with it and a few against and it’s 50 50 win rate. Will it be a nightmare for some armies? Yes. Will others just wreck it. Yes. Petrifex is also in my opinion not the best legion
  9. I think your selling crematorian and null myriad short. With a harvester build crem is amazing, and if you are doing a team tournament (4 plus teammates, captains pick matchups) null myriad are an amazing counter pick for magic reliant armies
  10. The real trick with big waagh is savage boarboyz. Something like 120 attacks on 2s and 2s exploding into 3 hits on 6s. Still super buff and cp reliant. But big waagh in general is nasty
  11. Faq fixed all the issues we had worried about. Harvesters, cavalry and vokmortian being unable to cast spells. Great job by GW
  12. I actually think crematorian might be the better tournament list
  13. I played against them with my deepkin eel spam, hid until turn 3 and then annihilated his army. I also used my daughters and got violated by them. Ymmv based on scenario, dice, player skill, etc
  14. The problem with bonereapers is that if you can field a unit of 15 deathriders, 2 40 man units of mortek, three catapults. Two harvesters, a liege kavalos, arkhan, katakros, a boneshaper or two, and immortis guard batallion of two units of 6 and some morghasts there is literally no army that can beat them in a tournament at 2000 points. of course that army is like 6000 points but no one cares about point values. Abilities look super scary together and that’s all we can see
  15. Yeah at 800 points and minimum of 390 for battleline you basically have 810 points left for hero’s and units to actually hold objectives and Alpha strike armies will simply gut the crawlers turn 1 as you won’t have the bodies to screen em
  16. You can’t fit everything, but you can do a ton of effective builds. I don’t see a copy paste net army that will beat everything however.
  17. I don’t know. Two week after faqs and biyearly updates including yearly points seems pretty solid to me. Do they miss stuff sure, but they do a relatively good job of fixing it
  18. Right they FAQd that within 2 weeks. They will do the same with this when the Ossiarch one comes out. It’s incredibly broken as is.
  19. Ehhhhh I don’t know dude. While I do not think that it is the best play, and I don’t think a ton of people would do it, I think a few people would and against a bunch of lists it would make the game absolutely miserable and. I don’t think there’s any reason that I can’t just be within 3 inches of a Harvester. Still powerful and still may be worth taking two in some lists but prevents a potential endless loop
  20. Yeah it does not say limit once which is an issue. Harvesters are also an issue until they say within 3” of a harvester instead of this model, as you can currently park two behind a unit of 40 Mortek and they are impossible to kill.
  21. No one is saying they are going to be a bad army. They might not even be fun to play against for some people, but they are not the end all be all second coming people are painting them as. It’s a solid B army. Maybe B plus or A minus. It’s not S tier.
  22. You know who is not vulnerable to that? Slaanesh, Skaven, daughters, fyreslayers. All really good armies. Partially due to fact they mostly don’t care about mortal wounds. They also aren’t sporting 210 points for 2 model units.
  23. Everything they have costs a fortune. That’s the balancing mechanic for the army.
  24. Yes if that does not get nerfed it will be an issue, but I think everyone is anticipating that’s once per turn
