  1. He refers to 4 from you and 4 from your enemy. So 8 in total per charge phase. They confirmed some of these rules will have additions in battletomes, so we may see extra monster rampages that allow more than 4 in some armies.
  2. I feel the same. Wasted oportunity. But it seems like every battletome will have his own heroic actions too, so maybe when Slaanesh get an update someday...
  3. Only one heroic action per turn. So only 1 of your heroes can heal, and then you are loosing the chance to do any of the other actions. You can do them both in your turn and the enemy turn tho. Except the dispell one that should be casting an extra spell instead (poor Synessa) I think the other three heroic actions are quite good in different situations. Dexcessa and Synessa having access to both heroic and monster actions is a good buff. Their average damage goes up with stomping/titanic duel. Watch out for Roar too, good that they can shut down enemy CAs but enemy monsters can now shut down our KoS CA too. Synessa unlimited range CAs is gonna be useless unless there are special CAs for heroes that unit champions cannot perfom. Otherwise it will only affect non-hero chariots.
  4. Well, this WarCom article was more about "Best rule-set ever". If they do one for each of the 8 things Sigmar talked in the other video, then they will eventually talk about heroic actions, beastial actions and reactive command abilities in every phase, wich are the new things that actually focus in adding interaction. I still expect defensive CAs in the shooting phase.
  5. So, Synessa get Lok Out Sir but her sister Dexcessa don't. Weird spot. I think shooting will have nerfs in the form of reactions. And the GHB was a complete necessity to balance each army into 3.0 with equality.
  6. Uuuh. Is so weird that Dexcessa don't have Look Out Sir but Synessa have it.
  7. It synergise pretty well with those units if you play a tanky summon build. You get lots of wounds with good saves that dosn't hit too hard, so you gonna get a lot of Depravity Points from both you and your enemies in extended combats. Then summon blobs of Daemonettes to steal objectives and win.
  8. You may want to try Symbaresh Twinsouls next time, they are the best at dealing with low armored hordes.
  9. 2 Exalted Chariots are cheaper in points and better in performance than 3 regular chariots while having the same amount of wounds and save. The problem is they cannot be in the Seeker Cavalcade to keep low drops.
  10. Even if CAs dosn't change much but turn into area of effect/aura that would increse Syn utility by a lot. If other characters spend 1 CA for rerolling hit rolls of 1 (or it evolves into +1 to hit) They may be limited by the range to affect only one ally, but Syn can freely choose one friendly unit outside the range too. Would be effectively like having an extra command point. They are already excelent to follow the Slickblades (12 movement with flying), now imagine if Syn only need to spend 1 CA to grant battleshock inmunity to both a unit near her and another unit anywhere on the battlefield. Inspiring Presence is gonna get nerf for sure, but may still be worth. I bet is gonna be change to +3 bravery or something like that. It sucks for us because Blissbarbs and Slickblades got low bravery, but we still got Syl'Eskke if needed.
  11. Not sure about that. But we need to see the core rules of 3.0 to know for sure. They are changing the wording on CAs. If you look at Dex/Syn warscroll they talk about "Issue a command" and "If this model issues a command to more than 1 friendly unit" like, there seem like we gonna have generic CAs that are area of effect/aura style. We know nothing about heroic interventions yet, they may be like CAs that only affect yourself as a hero or something. If somehow Dex cannot help Syn, then you can always use the free CA for whathever you need in the battlefield and use one of the others you naturally generate in your turn to do the special thing on Syn. Is just speculation because Syn seems weak right now and the twins dosn't have any synergy between themselves yet.
  12. Been thinking more about the twins being tailored for AoS 3.0. We know that heroic interventions and CAs in every phase are a thing, plus the "less downtime, play in the turn of your opponent" focus of the new edition. Initialy Dex and Syn dosn't seem to have any special synergy between themselves but that may change. Syn got a big problem being a single caster, is a wasted potential of her other improvements to cast (knowing all spells and casting some without range limit). Maybe one of the new heroic interventions for wizards is to interrupt the enemy and cast one spell during the opponent hero phase. If this is considered a CA in some way, then the synergy of the twins would be that Dexcessa can grant an extra spell to Synessa during the opponent hero phase for free (and Synessa can buff or heal Dex with the extra spells). Right now im not convinced on Syn, she only seems to work with cogs, otherwise she is gonna succesfully cast 2-3 spells per game and basically do nothing. I hope 3.0 bring something interesting for her.
  13. The stuff about monster having special abilities in the charge phase intrigue me. The narrator said "You know, stomping, roaring, smashing, monster stuff." Sounds like you will be able to choose from at least three effects when you charge with a monster. Stomping sound related to some form of debuff (several warscrolls already got a stomp ability that play into the activation wars), be it activation wars, pile-in wars or -1 to something. Roaring sound related to bravery, probably -1 bravery for the enemies around. And smashing... well, probably some good old MW on the charge, but so many monsters already do this that feels weird to add even more MWs in the charge to them. Alternatively it may be a self-buff, like rerolling something to hit/wound or +1 to hit/wound. May not be free tho, maybe these are special CAs for the charge phase that can only target monsters or something. Was thinking if this can save Slaangors from being terrible, but they don't have the monster keyword. Nor the Fiends, Chariots, Syl'Eskke, Sigvald or Glutos. Only Dexcessa, Synessa, Shalaxi and KoS got the Monster Keyword. This feel good for the twins as being "cheap" monsters can have some extra value.
  14. AoS 3.0 changes can fix a lot of things. New heroic interventions, new monster capabilities in the charge phase, reaction abilities on each phase of the game. They may even fix the double turn with it. Lets see. Generic Battlations confirmed to have some rules too (contrary to only reducing drops) that may trigger some unexpected synergies with our troops.
  15. I just realize my damage estimation for the shooting attack on Synessa was vs a 3+ (2'16), she is sligthly better vs a 4+ (2'41) That mean the total damage of mele + shooting was not 4'94, it is 5'19. Not a big difference anyway. The shooting attack is so tricky because MWs feel like working vs armor, but this attack damage output is actually reduced by armor. Weird.
  16. And being able to cast it anywhere becomes irrelevant because it cannot be reliably cast in any way or form XD. The 1 in 3 times you actually succeed in the casting value and the enemy fails to dispel, be ready to cry while you roll below the enemy hero bravery with 3d6. Is like 3 times having a 40% chance of failling in a row just to get your one single spell into working.
  17. Synessa damage chart in mele. She deal an average of 2'16 MWs with the shooting attack vs 4+ save. Total damage in your turn with shooting + mele vs 4+ save is 2'78 + 2'16 = 4'94. Single spell cast wihtout bonus is totally unreliable (half the times you fail the cast, half the times you actually cast is gonna be dispel) so im not gonna count any damage spell for this one. She seriously need something extra to hit the mark. Maybe 3.0 CAs make her ability more relevant.
  18. Dexcessa damage table assuming you use the free CA on self rerolling ones. She eventually reach the sweet spot, at +2 attacks (hopefully turn 3) she start hitting like a non-degrading unit of Slickblades, and become even better later.
  19. Dexcessa and Synessa. Cool concept for both, but bad execution in the end. Super killer that cannot kill in the early game, need to kill something early when is weak to grow stronger later, not too tough cannot even self-heal with spells. Super caster that cannot cast a spell reliably without failing/being unbound and cannot spam spells either. In today article they mention that Dexcessa is a Greater Daemon again. She dosn't have the Greater Daemon keyword that would grant acces to improved locus and spell lore, is not even a caster. Really, is not our fault to be hyped about these literal demigods that got amazing concepts but absurd executions.
  20. I don't think so. There is a 1 in 1 million chance the new GHB come with updated allegiance abilities for everyone like it used to do with every army that have no battletome, but i don't think so because they keep saying that our current battletomes wll be 100% compatible with 3.0. The new GHB will update every army point cost for 3.0, but maybe not us because we are too recently updated. With such a massive game-change, they may do the jump and update every allegiance ability that dosn't fit the new rules. Probably not.
  21. The warscrolls are not that bad, im gonna feel good playing them, but there are many problems with how they ended. First problem, the lore don't match the warscrolls. You can say whathever you want about them being born from a chained diminished god. But that is not how the mortals reacted to it in the story. Remember they were so delight they gathered all around the mass of the newborn, lots of them dying from pure bliss. They protected this form with zeal as if it were the reborn of they long lost god, this was depicted both in Broken Realms and in some of the short stories in-between. In the end they are quite small (10 wounds no caster and 9 wounds single caster, 280 and 260pts). Now I can see how they maybe tough of "Well, but together is 540pts for 19 wounds and a single caster" I still don't get the single caster thing... but well. Certainly they don't degrade, so you got to kill 9-10 wounds from one of them to effectively degrade this twin-form of the god. Then, I can see what they tried to do with each of the twins, and I feel good about playing them because not everything was poorly done. But is like if they miss at the end of every one of their designs, like needing an extra something that is not there. They dosn't have the Greater Daemon keyword, so no good locus for them. What were they thinking? They got better survability than people think 10-9 wounds on a 4+ with an innate -1 to be hit is not bad. They don't degrade with damage in any shape or form. Almost there, but Dexcessa is not a caster and Synessa is a single caster, so you cannot self-heal with them. The damage output seems decent on both. Dexcessa hit hard as soon as you start stacking attacks, but forcing you to start combat turn one is bad. I guess you can charge into a screen taking advantage of retreat and charge and fly in the next turn. Synessa is a cannon of mortal wounds, im glad with that, I always felt like Slaanesh can use some kind of artillery piece. 1/6 chance of missing and 1d3-1d6 MW is not that bad, but it is an almost there again. Why not simply to deal 1d6MW without any more complexity? Won't be that bad, you can still roll a 1 and the attack dosn't have oppresive range. Speaking of wich, Synessa got 3 attacks with the talons and Dexcessa only 2... uh... unnecesary nerf to Dexcessa, they were afraid of her scaling with too much extra attacks, but feels like an "almost there" again. The casting... they completely missed the point. Dexcessa should be a single caster just for the purpose of self-healing and Synessa a double caster (or a single caster that always cast with 10 instead of rolling the dice, something like that). She should have infinite range in every spell and not just two. On the other hand, they seem clearly design to play around CAs and not spells. Both abilities are really good, free CA each turn and unlimited range in CAs. I know we still got to see the new edition, but they are clearly design with new edition in mind and to exploit CAs gimicks. Dexcessa is a natural distraction carnifex, if you dont deal with her in the early turns when she is weak she become a murder-monster, but is not such a big of a threat to justify hard focusing her in the beggining, can work well if you unleash her as an ever-scaling dangerous distraction. Since she dosn't degrade and cannot be tar-pit, you got no way to diminish her unless you fully comit to killing the whole character. Synessa is... way worst. You gonna miss her spell more than half the times due to lack of +to cast and the meta spell-doms unbinding. She is not a bad cannon (potential 1d6 ranged MW wounds, in a 12 movement + 18 range = 30 range threat) but cost way too much for that. Ok one thing I just realize that make Synessa more viable. The staff do not target or use the attack sequence at all. I was gonna say "If you could use the 3 attacks of the talons every turn and then retreat to not be forced into shooting that enemy similar to Dexcessa rule of retreat and charge" But the staff don't work like a missile weapon at all. You pick 1 enemy unit within range and visible, so you can shoot out of your own combat Rules As Writen. You cannot retreat and shoot tho, but you can fight with the talons and still shoot other things in other places meanwhile. Not that bad damage output for her then. If the ladies don't die in the last turns of the game they gonna show good utility. Non-degrading 12 move with flying may work to grab some late-time objectives. Even with 1-2 wounds left they can deal a good amount of damage to clear a place (especially Dexcessa in late turns) and move to importan areas. Free CA or unlimited range CA may work to change some run rolls into 6s, unless that CA is no longer in 3.0. Last note about Synessa. A 3.0 CA that give +1 to cast or +1 to number of spells cast can really improve her. Higly doubtful, but who knows. Edit: Dexcessa described as a Greater Daemon in today WarCom article, despite not being a Greater Daemon in the warscroll...
  22. May be a different leaker, the warscroll of Kroak is already in the rumour thread for everyone to see. But yeah, it can be that way, and they may really miss the mark about what we expected from the twins. Or maybe they got other OP things in the warscrolls. We will see.
  23. Maybe the second. I would believe they are overdoing the glass in the supposed "Glass Cannon". Looking at some Drycha size pics, she is quite big, i can see the main body of the twins being that size. But they are also floating above the falling clothes and having some massive wings that make them taller and wider as a whole.
  24. Estimated size is quite big. Im surprised they dont have 11 wounds at least. In the reveal video they are next to Daemonettes and they only reach to the tip of their feet. They are estimated to be taller than a KoS too (While having a tinier body because they are floating).
