I can defo see the appeal and cost benefit of printing at home. Was having this conversation with a friend earlier today actually. The reason why I haven't got a 3d printer is because I would just print model after model without painting it. I can see I'll end up spending money on files and have more stuff to print than I'll know what to do with. Yes, I could buy the licence for the models but is there really a demand for the models? Looking on ebay and esty most sellers are from Europe, there must be a reason why there are hardly any, if any UK or US sellers. I suspect its because there is no demand. The way technology on 3d printers is moving as well, I'll be afraid the one I have would be obsolete very quickly. The only reason I could see myself getting a 3d printer would be for terrain and bases. I'll be sticking to the old fashion way for buying models for now.

You sure that's not 20 dollars just for the file? Big difference between getting a file and actual models.

I do believe we will see chaos dwarves given an AoS army in the future, I remember speaking to a White Dwarfer at an open day a couple of years ago who said the studio were playing around with chaos dwarves. I would love to see them as a destruction faction. Slavers and armourers who you can make deals with but should never trust.

My prediction for tomorrow: Next Broken Realms reveal for slannesh which will have the rules for the new stuff. Tease of the death battletome in Feb. A direchasm reveal 40k stuff.

All this speculating about if its slannesh or vamps and the battletome will be something cometely different and new no one saw coming 😂😂 Got to hand it to GW, they have been a constant good thing in this crappy year, even with a few hiccups. The shows the WarCom team have put on daily on twich are great inspiration along with fairly regular previews and good quality products. We are part of a great community and I look forward to seeing whats coming on Xmas day!

I don't think the battletome will be slannesh but we'll get the slannesh models in January. The great thing about having the warscrolls available for free is they can add units to current battletome. I believe slannesh will get a new battletome early on in 3rd edition which will bring everything together.

I went for the Ogroid Myrmidon, absolutely gorgeous sculpt. Had another thought about the rumour engines, as we seem to have a dualist and a witch hunter maybe it is a warhammer quest as they were both adventurers in the old one. If they do something like Blackstone fortress and we get lots of adventurers, based on the old stuff we could get Barbarian, wizard, aelf, dwarf, witch hunter, dualist, fyreslayer, warrior priest, questing knight, chaos warrior, aelf ranger, pit fighter, wardancer.

Think any pre orders will be announced today? They would be released on the 2nd January and GW normally like to kick the year off with a bang, so maybe the slannesh release?

I think it's a fairly good bet to imagine it will be Broken Relams: Sigvald/Slannesh/Newborn. Something slanneshy.

If I were writing a Vampire battletome I would put a City of Sigmar in as one of the sub factions, allowing 1 in 4 units to come from Cites of Sigmar as a throwback to the Storm of Chaos Slyvanian levy army. I've still got some zombie crossbow men I converted for the army somewhere.

They aren't going to say FAQs are dropping tomorrow or whenever in case something happens and it can't be posted. As they haven't said its not coming, we have no reason to believe it won't drop soon. The fact that it hasn't dropped on the same date as previous years means nothing. And I have to say their communication is so much better. They have been up front when products have been delayed (Sylvaneth, sons, death guard). If the pandemic had happened back when GW ignored the Internet, it would have been a shambles.

I think that's highlights painted on to add texture.

Defo getting a witch hunter vibe off some of these. The 2 pronged spear thing looks like something a vampire hunter would use and today's hammer looks like something a witch hunter would wield. I would all over a vampires vs witch hunter box!

There is normally a new year's open day at warhammer world on the first Sunday of the year so hopfully we'll get a online preview in its place.

I wonder if it will turn out to be a shyish custom of having coffins with locks on them to keep the dead buried with the animals being familiars to guard the keys.

If Gordrak does smash opon a gate to Azyr it doesn't mean the Realm of heavens is destroyed or overrun. Pretty sure each gate will be heavily guarded. Like most Orruks, Gordrak wants a fight and would be happy to bust a gate open and have a good scrap. Of course by doing so, shows that it can be done and invites others to challenge Sigmar in his own realm, kicking off a narrative event of would be conquers looking to topple the God King, all without Azyr itself being overrun.
