  1. A new DoK centerpiece hero would be super cool, I agree. I do like Lumineth a lot but as far as Warcry bands go, eh....they just don't need one, tbh. They have tons of heroes and infantry already, and while I'd probably still buy a unit of LRL scouts I'd really rather see any of the other elf races get their Warcry attention first.
  2. So Lumineth or Sylvaneth. I want a Kurnothi elf warband...please GW.
  3. Keeping in mind that so far 90% of rules content for the dawnbringers books is new Armies of Renown (aka new subfactions) a new DoK unit or hero that has a themed army built around them seems on brand. And the hag is kinda death themed, so it would fit with book 4, probably.
  4. The seraphon box would be absolutely perfect if I hadn't already bought the Slaan, unfortunately the armybox was a thing.
  5. Oh yeah the Flamekeeper. GW should honestly just update the wording of his main ability. I would consider it an oversight if they don't.
  6. All the Warcry stuff seems..usable. Feels a little too simplified compared to even other recent warbands, but not unplayable. Gorgers are a deepstrike option with some punch, and the Fyreslayers can basically be used as a vulkite alternative.
  7. Yeah at this point I would not be surprised if Dawnbringers 3 is released before CoS.
  8. I don't see any real hopes of Kurnothi after this, at least not the wood elf variety. They made a treeman the Avatar of Kurnoth, leading kurnoth hunters and tree-revenants with wild rider helmets. It's all trees all the way down. If the wood elf remnants can't even get an Avatar of their God that fits with their aesthetic they are doomed as a concept, IMO.
  9. Yeah this looks like the book where they add an army of renown for every faction that recently got a warcry or uw band and count them as covered. As for the rest the show, I'm not feeling great. New stormcast model is amazing love it, don't know if I have the storage space for it but I will try. New Sylvaneth is officially the death of all my Kurnothi hopes and dreams. They made the Avatar of Kurnoth a tree, that is the end, Kurnothi will never be significant. Maybe they'll get a warcry band someday, whatever. Brett's, well they got two plastic kits and 5 resin characters in the end, unless the game somehow becomes a hit that's probably the high watermark any other faction can expect. Good luck to then, I suppose.
  10. It's a good model but I am intensely unhappy that GW decided to bury Kurnothi by making him a tree.
  11. The earliest screenshot of the game, from an investors report, showed SC fighting an ogroid thamateurge
  12. Nu Vandus vs nu Khul would be pretty sweet.
  13. There's no reason they can't drop new liberators now as a teaser for 4th edition. Thunderstruck armor is a known quantity and there's a ton of other things that could go into the starter box.
  14. Underworlds I understand but there is nothing one off about Warcry. Just in recent times Warcry has given us full replacement units for Gorgers and Chameleons, a key ranger unit for CoS and the first new unit for Fyreslayers since their initial release.
  15. So much this. I'm reaching the point of being aggressively over random hero releases, so much so that I've largely even moved on from underworlds in favor of Warcry. Like the new Deepkin team is nice, sure, but do I need a new tidecaster sculpt really? This is doubly true for random heroes packaged with fomo boxes, unless the extra units are exactly what I'm looking for I can't be bothered. Most random foot heroes are pretty useless as game play additions anyway, even as someone who buys to paint more than play I can't much be bothered these days. Give me units!
  16. Admech are the next codex on the 40k road map so that was always a given. Doesn't impact AoS reveals one way or another though.
  17. I mean, expectations for Kurnothi were set with Skaeths Wild Hunt all the way back in 2019. And reinforced with the release of Cursed City in 2021. These are real miniatures GW has released and continued teasing Bestial wood elves as a real thing for four years now. If they continue to disappoint with Sylvaneth releases that's on GW more than the community.
  18. I like Lumineth, but I don't really see them getting involved with two human crusades far away from Hysh.
  19. As much as I like my Sylvaneth I am a little burned out on trees at this point. If it really is just another tree-man in a box of kurnoth hunters or whatever I will probably have to give it a miss I grow weary of waiting for Kurnothi, honestly.
  20. Book 1 came with four heroes Book 2 came with Trugg, the Big Pig, two more Ironjawz foot heroes and two new unit kits. I honestly don't know why people are acting like Book 3 is going to come with two hero units or whatever, tops. These narrative series usually start slow and build momentum from there. Broken Realms not only included huge 2nd waves for LRL and Slaanesh, it also gave us Kragnos, Belakor, Lord Kroak and the Slaanesh Twins on top of a bunch of random smaller heroes. Not to mention Cursed City and Soulblight Gravelords being released alongside. If it's a "There's too much stuff" thing, then keep in mind that CoS will mostly likely go on Pre-Order next week and 40K releases are going to be fairly subdued the rest of the year, two codex releases that no one is expecting a ton of models for and like a Kill Team. Epic is coming but that's more something that's going to push back TOW than anything AoS related. FEC, Book 4 and the next round of underworlds/warcry teams will probably not release until next year. Things aren't that bad, really.
  21. It's the literal next item on the AoS roadmap. Guaranteed to be shown.
  22. It's the Warcry campaign rules for the two warbands that would have been included if the boxset they didn't get.
  23. It's good you're paying attention though it's not always a flat timeline. For instance the Starblood Stalkers came after all of the warbands you mentioned but were obviously a frontrunner for the Seraphon update. In general people don't really pay as much attention to Underworlds as they should. We also had a Sylvaneth warband with Revenant archers before that officially became a unit, and compare the Witch Hunter Warband to the new CoS range-you can see a clear influence in details like the armor design, etc. Underworlds has always been the realm of prototype models for AoS, GW has even said so, explicitly, but somehow it always gets dismissed as an irrelevant sidegame.
