  1. Here the Wip pics of the Devanthar. Have to clean him up and base him tho.
  2. @AlessioThanks. Its a good and not short to answer question. For me this minis are for playing, therefore the base. Iam sitting on a showcase model as well, a Dark Eldar Scorch, which wont have a base and is on a display socket. Since iam still learning while painting, i take much time for each miniature trying things and when they doesn't fit i change them. So its hard to say how much time i need for example the Blade Dancer. I would guess about 20-30 hours pure painting time, depending on how complex the miniature is. The bigger the miniature gets the more time i need of course. And on the playing point, iam painting many different miniatiures factionwise. But i think i will only keep the Elfes and Orcs. So when the time comes and i got for example 10 Chaos Warriors finished i will most likely sell them. So why are you asking?
  3. @silverstuThank you very much. The head is from the hydrabox. Next will be a Ironjaw Brute as Unitfiller, a goblin, or another pathfinder, but in no particular order! Meanwhile iam sculpting the Wyvern and iam working on a Devanthar for my elfarmy. The Devanthar is half man half boar, huge and a magical being. For him i took the Ogroid kit and converted him. Will be my Orion piece! 👑
  4. So not happy with the pics, the Mini on the other hand turned out realy good. The pictures are again a little bit yellowish. So here my first Blade Dancer.
  5. And here is my almost finished Warlord Varrucc, his Wyvern ist still Wip so. The Wyvern will take some time but he'll be an eyecatcher!
  6. So here is the promised Goblin. Sadly my light died and i replaced it with a way too warm one. I have to fix this next week and take some better pictures.
  7. So here some early Wips of my Warlord on Wyvern. It will take some time sculpting this Big Wing and its my biggest model and conversion this far, but its so much fun. What do you think? Its the zombiedragon kit with troglodon head and a converted savageorc warboss with orc rider legs. Be aware my next 2 models which ill complete painting are a goblin and a wardancer!
  8. Thank you very much. Here is my finished Feral Orc. Pretty pleased i have to say.
  9. So, since my last post is quiet some time ago. Here are some small updates. A WIP pic of a orc and my Wild Hunter Queen Alatraeia, on her i just have to get the base ready an then she is my next model to paint. Iam realy looking forward to. I like her real bad and i will pull my A game painting her.
  10. Thank you very much! Of course you can. You mean the elf i guess. So i paint with vallejo colors so i dont know the Citadel color names. So with vallejo you base with the FLAT EARTH and wash it with 50/50 SMOKE and water, then you paint some highlights with DARK SAND and then you shade with again SMOKE and a mix of SMOKE and BLACK at the end. So the caps are the color names, Smoke is a realy realy good and versatile color, its an dark not redish brown, flat earth is an yellowish-orange brown, also very versatile and one of my favorite colors and dark sand is an yellowish bleached bone. i hope this helps, if you got further question just ask.
  11. And here we go with da little Hexa! My camera is just crappy so it sadly eats a lot of contrast and light colors....
  12. So and here we go with some green ones. My Goblin BSB is finished a while ago and iam sitting on my little Witchdoctor which will be finished soon.
  13. Thank you very much! Yeah those idoneth ones, but the khorne barbarian dudes, idk the real name, dont have to and the feet are also way too big for example!
  14. Thank you. Yeah i've to agree, little conversions are often pretty neat and an wonderful way to make the army or warband look just good with little effort. Especially when the models are so dynamic as the namerati reavers. When i first saw them i was like urgh, just not my thing but with being an elf they look nice. But what i dont understand is why gw is making the feet of their models so big these days....idk.
  15. So, here my first finished pathfinder. Turned out pretty well. The next will be with more contrast in the skin and i also will take more time for the TMM, but iam still in the learning phase so its okish. Maybe ill add some blood but that will be it. And here what iam up to building. An Wild Hunter Kindred on Elk, an Melusai conversion with Spear in the one Hand and Blade in the other, a shield on the Back and lets see what other bits i find worth attaching.
  16. Its a little dark but ok, keep it the way you like it better. Yeah, thats what i mean with blacklining. So just an example:
  17. Nice conversions and pretty nice paintjob. But i would recommend to blackline your minis, separating the different painted areas from each other. It doesnt have to be black color, you can go with a dark brown if its skin or a dark green when its green cloth and so on. Also i would get in some extra time with the skin appling some shades of colors between the colors you use and you will see an good progress in very little time.
  18. Thank you very much. Iam not sure if i continue painting NMM or move on with TNMM, which i prefer more. Simply because its more realistic.
  19. Hey there, Iam going to start this thread posting my progress on painting and building an dark wood elf army and some other minis just to learn or variety. While being in the hobby for about 4 years iam more the painter than player and realy like the artistic part of it. So for my "project", it will be longterm due to not having that much time and the time i spent converting and painting single miniatutes. So i start the thread with the first finished mini and one which is ready to prime. Hang on. Wildhunter and an pathfinder The next pictures will be the bday present to my gf. One of the first more showcase models i painted. Dave
