  1. I feel like if an entire faction in AoS is getting executed, it would have been one of the first bits of information we received. Dragging it out would be truly diabolical.
  2. If we miss out on another 4th ed preview just because of April Fool's... That is the cruelest joke of them all.
  3. If we're not going to a "alternating activations" system, the Priority Roll is a must to keep the game engaging. I see people saying "I don't know anyone that likes the double turn!" This is all echo chamber bias. For me, I don't know anyone that doesn't like the priority roll. So we could go back and forth with it all day.
  4. It is egregiously slow and unhelpful. We still haven't seen either a new model (from a model making company) nor what the new warscrolls will look like (probably the most major component of the new edition). Someone definitely spent time thinking about how long they could drag out each bit of info.
  5. I think there will always be a small set of people who insist that there's only one way to play. I've already heard arguments for it online and we're not even into the edition yet. It's usually the hyper competitive crowd. Which is fine, they can like whatever they want--as long as they aren't trying to force other people to play their way. As for me. I look forward to experimenting with different modules.
  6. They actually say that the "Battle Plans and Tactics from the GHB will be in the launch box." They don't say the GHB will be.
  7. There will always be a contingent that refuses to do anything other than that. Playing any tabletop game is a contract between two or more people to have fun--which includes discussing whether or not you want to use certain elements. Don't feel bullied by people who suggest there's only one real way to play.
  8. Modular system = Play how you want I'm glad GW themselves are stating this intent. Perhaps it will be enough to convince a slice of the player base that they don't always have to strictly use all of the rules to play a "real game."
  9. Or some of the special weaponry will be abilities and not weapon profiles.
  10. Rejoice. We can build models however we think looks cool without worrying about stats.
  11. Battleshock sucked. Lost more models for losing models. For 75% of factions battleshock meant nothing. For the rest, it was devastating. To this day I'm convinced nothing was balanced around battleshock at all. Good riddance.
  12. I think if Hashut is depicted as a Chaos god of "order" or "creation" that would work well as a foil to "ruin".
  13. I'd argue Conquest is just a better game anyway.
  14. What a pointless video that told us nothing. Rally the leakers!
  15. I'm hoping we at least get to see what the new warscrolls will look like on Monday. They previewed that pretty early on for 40k 10th.
  16. Well somebody better become a cool Khorne Daemon Prince!
  17. The continued existence of battle tactics is overwhelmingly disappointing.
  18. Agreed. 3rd edition became an arms race of hyper damage and armor. Everyone and their grandma gets a ward! Back in mah day, wards were rare and fit the lore of the model. Nowadays, you're SOL if your unit doesn't have a ward.
  19. Thanks dude. Just those couple of things gets me even more excited for 4th.
  20. @SG Warhound Have you been able to glean any info about 4th edition gameplay/rules?
  21. Pictures of the 4th rulebook are radical, but tell me how it plays.
  22. My only issue with the hyper competitive "meta" outlook is when players start referencing 3/4 of the models in the game as "trash" that no one should ever play. When in reality, these units are fine, just not the best. That's when we end up with cookie cutter army builds all over the place.
  23. Don't give me hope. I would sell half of my armies for an insectoid faction in AoS.
