  1. There's too much immunity to battleshock for me to feel comfortable relying on that.
  2. So i had basically the same idea, but then i got worried about the spite revs: 1"range with 32mm bases , which means their effective engagement numbers are a lot lower than the mathhammer might lead you to believe. Now consider that the tree revs get baked in teleport, and the martial memories gets more powerful in smaller units lends me to think that 3x10 or even 6x10 tree revs would be effective at grabbing objectives and making the 9 inch charges after the teleports with their rerolls. I really wanted to make a shredder bucket o dice spite rev army too, but i don't think you can get the models to fit to maximize that effect.
  3. Wow, good eyes. It's hard to argue with that. Those trogs are using recycled duardin material. But i may suffer from the same desperation bias as you all.
  4. Got to watch it with the artillery and guns lines in aos. It either wins turn one or it costs you the battle. There is a great thread topic on balancing ranged combat in aos and it had me convinced that it must be employed subtly or bad things happen. See the wanderers and ko factions. Plus turn one charges leave it a bit flat. Mobility and shear number of dice are winning now. Thus, moles, haste runes, slow runes, and anchor units are what we need to ensure we get. Anchors we have, but a non machine behemoth would be great, like a rune golem or cave beastie. Something that can tie up the initial charge, soak the alpha strike, and allow us to trodge our little legs onto the objectives before we miss out on early turn victory points. Fluff we have due to a long history, we must pay some mind to crunch as well.
  5. So to change Dispossessed, they'd need to create a superceding faction, like gloomspike, or deprecate Dispossessed, and re box.
  6. Good point. I always get Ursula K Leguin results when i broad search. Good book though. How are they handling the Gloomspite rebranding? Cause those boxes were already age of Sigmar branded, but with another name right?
  7. Those appear to be carved out if a wood bole. You can see the grain and knots. Amazing, none the less.
  8. Lol, these are from MoM miniatures in Spain. They have a website of course. The 7 foot ones, you'll have to craft yourself. I suggest concrete.
  9. I have a few of these guys en route. These are excellent, but I'd love to see GW's take.
  10. Oh yeah, that'd do nicely. Everything you just said *kisses fingertips* i REALLY want the rune golems!
  11. No, you are totally right. I was going to say something to extent, but i had to look over my kids for a bit.
  12. It's going to have to be a reimagining. All new armies have been a bit of the old, but a new twist and theme that works with the new lore. So let's set aside the ideas we had of the dwarves of old and think about what direction they could take us... Artillery, oddly, seems out, otherwise it would have been put in Dispossessed. Maybe steam suits? That would seem off, since we don't lack staying power, but rather mobility. Steam bikes? Lol
  13. Well, I went back on what I said about the sold out thing, but over in the rumor thread, they are showing pictures of all the sold out grots, and there is a more or less guaranteed grot release on the horizon. Got me thinking again. Not a more legendary match up than Duardin and grots...
  14. The fungus got refer to are called Cordyceps. Google cordyceps and be prepared for horror.
  15. So i was browsing the Games-Workshop store, when i noticed that they are out of stock of almost everything Dispossessed. I don't want to get too tin-foil-hat, but could this mean they are holding back stock that has been rebranded? I mean, most of what is out of stock had already been swapped over to round bases and AoS branding, so that doesn't make sense. Holiday shopping shortages? Coincidence? - This was US store. Checked the UK one, and they only were sold out of the Ironbreakers/drakes boxes, so likely just coincidence.
  16. Yeah, options are always better, and they left the option of "no change".
  17. I find the faq regarding the wild riders interesting. First off it shows that they are still thinking about wanderers. If we were headed for the deprecated life, they'd not bother to balance an unconsequential unit like WR. SotT, sure, pple ally that in. Second, this faq implies someone at gw was playtesting this unit and thought that 12“ move and armor rerolls together was somehow too strong... That boggles the mind. Or perhaps they simply realized that the models did in fact ship with shields on the sprue, and there were no rules for them. That and the models have a legitimate shield less build as well (with the dagger in hand) and so both needed to be accounted for. Personally, the move nerf ruins their only utility :getting in the way of shtuff before it wrecks you. A touch more defense isn't going to allow them to do that role better. Id be really interested now in where they see this faction going.
