    Harsh, but mostly true.

I've had a couple of armies invalidated after a change in previous 40k or Fantasy editions. I'm also fully expecting my Legion of Azgorh force to be invalidated under AoS 3.0

At least my Ironjawz is generic enough that it should be around for some time.

I was right there with you with LoA. Sold them off as soon as it became clear they were getting squatted. Kept a few sentimental models for my display case.

And it happened previously too with Swifthawk Agents. So I treat armies as investments in fun but not as emotional attachments. Seraphon were my first project but I may sell them off soon too.

I'm not a gamer in this hobby and it makes me want to start a PTG!!

Also what are the chances of the Core Book selling out separately as well? High?

The Core book ought to be a three-year evergreen so even if this initial print run sells out. It’ll be back.

  3. “5+ FNP“

I find this unconscionable. There are Gods, Avatars, and thickly scaled monsters in this game with no Shrug whatsoever yet those two have get a 5+?!? A 6+ I could live with, maybe. It doesn’t make sense to me, logically. Though I recognize that AoS is utterly illogical.

It isn't a zero sum equasion. It's a 2+2=1 equasion. Both factions are diminished by sticking them together this way.

Well, then you wouldn't see them coming over that hill in the image, right?

Most tables have multiple hills 😉

and a soup tome is 1+1+1 = 4 as you’ll still have your separate allegiances AND the special soup allegiance so it is an enlargement, not a diminishment.

  5. If we want every unit to have a potential role in a list, expanding armies suddenly becomes a bad idea. Right now, Ironjawz is an army where every unit is viable for list-building, even Ironskullz Boyz. Brutes get taken less than others but still have a purpose and the most minor tweak would make them more viable. But if IJ gets a second wave, you’ll see more useless units. Look at Stormcast, a full 2/3 of that army rarely sees table. I often hear people clamoring for more units but I am semi-opposite in that, partly why I’m such a pro-soup person. Small, incremental additions rather than mass expansions serve armies better. That how you avoid this Wight King/Black Knight problem. Personally, I would’ve squatted Black Knights. Blood Knights are enough.

    They look amazing😍,

gotta have to buy some myself

I never thought I would hear anybody ever say that.

A few more pointsreduction, and that thing becomes op😂

Ideally I’d run 4 against certain top-Mets armies

  7. I’m still hung up on how this has to be an either-or proposition. KO can still explore the skies while they help reclaim the Karaks and then as the Khazalid Empire is rebuilt and trade resume, you can link Skyports to the Karaks to the Lodges to the Cities and create this incredible narrative of Duardin cooperation. No one is asking that the KO be grounded. This isn’t a zero sum proposition.
