  1. I've played three games now, and we've moved up to 750 points. Infernal Enrapturess has made her points back every game, and the Fiends are solid and great character hunters. Hellstriders were welcome as buffers, but their combat worthiness is questionable, so they'll be built with whips and ran as everyone else is already running them. Daemonettes are excellent, and have forced units with 10 Bravery to auto fail their Battleshock. Seekers are okay, summoned some to keep my left flank from collapsing, which enabled me to win the game. Finally, the LoSoDM shares the Hellstrider's mediocrity, but did an adequate job of murdering a mounted Knight of Shrouds and generating depravity in the last game; I think two mounted Heralds would be just as good, if not better, even with Hellish Swiftness. Speaking of, I really need a KoS, but the Infernal Enrapturess will do for vanguard games; I still need 40 more Daemonettes.

  2. My nephew recently caught Warhammer fever, and he's interested in Nighthaunts. I picked up the paint set with the glaivewraiths (yay drummer!), but that's it so far. I've set a benchmark of 500 points, and would like to get him what he needs to play for Christmas. What would you recommend?

Hi there, I am looking to start a slaanesh army (mainly daemons),  I am really interested in the tricky aspect of this army and the fact that most units are fast and can throw a lot of dices, plus it seems to me that it is a quick army  to paint. I have already planned to split Wrath and Rapture with a friend whenever the box get release. Until then what would you recommend me to get ? I know there is a SC box but I don't feel comfortable painting the chariot, is there another way ?

    Cheers,

A couple of boxes of Daemonettes is never a wrong choice. You may want to pick up the SC box anyway for the mounted Heralds you can make out of the chariots.

  4. My wife is picking up the DoK Battleforce, and we're planning to run 500 point games starting out. I've looking over the contents and it looks like she would need to run the Bloodwrack Medusa as her general, with Blood Sisters and Witch Aelves/Sisters of Slaughter for battleline.  Do you have any advice I can pass along to her for building out of the box, or expanding on it? She doesn't know which direction she wants to take her army.

Now you've mentioned it, the SC is very good just because of the customizability of the chariot kit, so multiple SC can give you the daemonettes and seekers, as well as one big chariot with hero, two heroes on two little chariots, two battleline chariots with two heralds on foot, two heralds on steeds, one medium chariot with herald and one small chariot with herald, or a non-hero big chariot. It must be the most customisable kits produced, which makes it perfect for a Start Collecting set as you're not left with duplicate useless heroes  if you buy it multiple times.

You'll find me in apt agreement. Unless the rules change drastically in W&R, I don't think I'll need more than three fiends, and the harpist doesn't inspire thoughts of multiplicity.

  6. The recent addition of Lokhir Fellheart to TWW2 got me thinking about Morathi and the old Druchii pleasure cults... I almost started Dark Elves before AoS came on the scene, and much prefer the Druchii style over the standard SoD.

So, while I wait for Wrath and Rapture to arrive, the task of founding a pleasure cult can now occupy my time. The most elegant and graceful of hosts will soon rise to glorious excess.

Nope nothing at all unfortunately, hopefully something this weekend at blood and glory though?

I'll certainly be looking into it. Now I just need to find a diehard Khornite...

So a guy said he has seen/heard of a new plastic Masque, the KoS will have a dual kit with a named daemon, with the daemon being N'Kari.  There is the classic squid face, but also a veiled face.

I don't know how accurate it is, but as excited as I am, that'd be awesome.

I'm expecting Wrath and Rapture to have basic unit, cav, and a herald. Whether this is a new plastic herald for both khorne and slaanesh, or just fine cast kits, but there is where I am at.

Sign me up for that new Keeper of Secrets kit, if true. Mmhmm.

If you and Enoby have guessed right, I look forward to buying a Wrath and Rapture box and trading out the Khorne stuff.
