Looks like a cleric beast minotaur... at this point I'm convinced the design studio plays Fromsoft games.

Btw. That smith Darkoath looks heavily inspired by the mandalorian smith
In order to mask their homage, they‘ve called him Dewey. That way they can say „THIS IS DEWEY“ and nobody can accuse em of stealin, yo.

What about the goose? That model would de solved in the post 100%.
That goose is hopefully an agent of Tzeentch. I'm not even kidding. I want a goose in my army.

Just give him his TOW rules.
Yeah, just give him any other rules than the ones he's got ATM. He's more or less a tax at this point, must be a new ploy of the green party to make things more expensive!

I'm old school, I'd like Cities to actually be privileged for a bit! 😂 The basic human is always the perfect contrast to all the other factions. Not that I don't like SCE but regular dudes simply portray the dangers of all the evil factions better than fantasy space marines, who are extremely strong individuals.
A story about nids is more fun if the imperium is involved than fearless Space Marines to draw a parallel.- 5

@MitGas! LOOKS LIKE ITS TIME FOR THE CHANGER OF WAYS TO SHINE!!!!
The greatest trick of Tzeentch would be to make the current Changeling usable 🤭

Sorry @MitGas, I'd back you up but barring Injustice 2 the only fighting arcade game I've played is Street Fighter, and even then I'm basic as all get out.
As if ignorance should stop anyone from having a set opinion, or even better, someone else‘s! 👍

I took the day off for Rebirth, definitely go and play it if you like jrpgs even remotely
Also, I won't tolerate the lack of Lili love, she's been my main since Tekken 6 😤
I got Rebirth a bit early and did the bare minimum for work... 16 hours in. 😂
Yoshi since T3 here. Lili is quite the annoying matchup now, although to be fair, Yoshi must be even more annoying to play against. Despite Yoshi not being trash tier for the first time since T6 (he started sucking as soon as he went double sword), I really only now with all the extra mechanics realize that he's got quite a few missing pieces in his overall move list, despite 190 moves. And they've nerfed flash already. Which was pretty important as Yoshis have a hard time with dealing against constant aggression. You learn to hate Hwoarangs, Dragunovs and the like quite fast in this one as we got very few pokes and safe moves and spammers are horrible to deal with. I certainly play very different against some characters.Either way, T8 is a good one. Unfortunately I won't play it much until I've completed Rebirth. I want my date with Tifa! 🥰

Sexist and Misogynistic attitudes and comments arent welcome here. I shouldnt even have to say this be better people.
It wasn't misogynistic at all, if anything it falls under misandry as it was a joke at the expense of men. I strongly disagree with this assessment but whatever...

I have been cursed by a vile spell from the Realms - bound upon these forums, at the mere mention of Chorfs, I am forced to draw a new image in MS paint and post it here to lukewarm response. The balance of this forum would be in jeopardy otherwise - now, no matter the rumours, no faction's fans will get the upper hand in the rumour thread.
😂 You've got my vote for post of the day. Not that it matters but hey, it's at least something.

All Chorf memery aside (OK, I'll admit, I really wanted to post my newest Chorf creation that I literally made a few minutes ago because I am in desperate need for validation in form of forum reactions), I am very happy for all the ratboys, ratgirls and non-binary giant rats because hey, you deserve this. For too long has Skaven players been the most oppressed minority in this hobby (they got old sculpts)
Let's hope the Chorf memery won't turn into a memory though.
I'm so clever Tzeentch just threw a cookie at me. 👌 -

Alright, do we expect this to be talked about this weekend? Or is GW gonna play this leak off like they did the crypt guard sprues until Adepticon?
I can't speak about anything, I'm already playing FF7 Rebirth. One of my LoCs will get painted like a Chocobo.

Honestly in regards to Mordheim they might as well bring it back and tie it into the Old World (Mordheim the game itself took place like a hundred years before the Old World, but the city itself was only destroyed when Magnus the Pious became Emperor so during TOW times it should still be around and there's probably still adventurers going there).
I mean, the setting was great but could also also be easily replicated in AoS if they wanted to. I figure they won‘t focus too much on side games set in TOW outside of the main game.
I‘d be happy with either solution personally as long as the style is as gloomy as Mordheim‘s.

I wouldn‘t use the narrative as a clear indicator who‘s the mightiest, just saying. Different authors use different constellations to hype various figures. There are different kinds of strength too so even between the same two heroes/villains the outcome could go either way, factor in the circumstances and it‘s a coin toss. I guess Kragnos is somewhere in the god-beast tier, I‘d argue gods outrank god-beasts but depending on circumstances god-beasts could slay gods. I guess the strongest gods would be very likely winners however but the same could probably be said about strong god-beasts.
Either way, it‘s difficult to say anything concise. They‘re all strong but Kragnos has the ugliest face. 😋

Well, I started in WHFB with Chaos and gravitated towards Tzeentch in time, mostly due to the artwork, the final nail in the coffin were Thousand Sons however. Magic wasn‘t actually a deciding factor. I liked their look instantly but what I liked even more was their background, where the Emperor falsely condemned them (back then the background was a bit different; now they (Magnus) are pretty much fools and destined to become traitors. I prefer the old way more however.
everything else about Tzeentch, from lovecraftian themes to mutations to his capricious nature made it even better.
I like a ton of armies however, even some Eldar and Aelfs! 😋 But I‘ll always be a loyal Tzeentchian (mostly due to me being too lazy)!

I usually use varnish in between steps; like after using oils and the like. Bright metallic highlights I usually paint after varnishing, if the models are supposed to be reflective I don’t varnish them at all in the later stages for metals (it really dulls em down) or varnish clothes etc. by hand. It’s a slow process that way.
Plastic minis are pretty forgiving even without varnish as the final layer in my experience, at least my current way has worked for me so far. I don’t think I’ve got chipped paint anywhere yet. Personally I haven‘t had any bad experience with an airbrush varnish, I certainly won‘t go back to rattle cans though after a bad experience. I use a lot more (and thicker!) varnish on scenery than on my army in general.

I'd like to open a new topic about a funny idea : what do you think would be the theme songs of the AoS armies ? Like, one song for every army in the game (faction or subfaction) that fits their vibe/lore/minis/theming the best.
Feel free to add your ideas and suggestions in the thread ! You absolutely can write your own songs in that you think work best for that particular army. The only rule is : one army = one song only. No need to tell to be cool with other people's music tastes because TGA members are wholesome !
Since I'm starting the thread, I'm starting with my theme song suggestions ! Here goes :
- Stormcasts Eternals : Ride The Lightning - Metallica
- Seraphon : Welcome To The Jungle - Guns N Roses
- Khorne : Raining Blood - Slayer
- Nurgle : Pestilence And Plague - Judas Priest
- Tzeentch : Master Of Puppets - Metallica
- Skaven : Pinkie and the Brain opening theme
- Ironjawz : The Boys Are Back In Town - Thin Lizzy
- Ossiarch Bonerepears : Spooky Scary Skeletons
What would you suggest as alternatives ? What songs would you pick for the other missing armies ? It's up to you to decide...
If we go with actual songs, I think Master of Puppets is a safe (due to its title) but musically kinda unfitting choice for big T. Heard this one being suggested for like 15 years now.
Personally, I can picture only a song by a "weird" band like Mr.Bungle to fit him, e.g.
It's weird enough, ranging from almost melodic to heavy, transitioning between different styles/musical genres... it's not an easy listen number but hey, it's complex enough for a convoluted being. I picture talking to Tzeentch must feel like listening to that song for the very first time!
Generally I tend to go more of classical or instrumental/orchestral music to convey moods. I think "Blood-starved beast" from Bloodborne e.g. would work well for an Ushoran battle. I've got a weird taste in music though (thanks. Mr.Bungle!) so I guess not many would like my picks. 😂- 2

Yeah, StD got a lot of fat basically. Plenty of pretty useless units that serve little purpose, kinda like SCE. I figure the Warcry will really just stay as extra units to collect but Darkoath are probably going to be more like the marauders of old; a viable second branch. I hope that‘s it now for StD though; other armies need stuff more.
I like what they‘re getting though! While I‘ll always be a fan of heavy armor in StD, these new models look really good.
