    Personnaly, I wouldn't say we're bottom-tier. We have flaws and we lack abilities, battletome and so on.

    BUT we are efficient. Strongly efficient. Want something down ? Bring Irondrakes and drop them dead.

    Lot of heresy... Pardon me, Magic ? Runelord and Runic Icon will do the job.

    Need to hold the line ? Oh boy... Don't worry @Breaks-the-iron Mont, I ear this A LOT about my Ironbreakers.

    So yes, sometimes we can't win, but at least we can make it REALLY hard for our ennemies.

    We've got some tricks down our sleeves, and we can make it real tough for our opponents.

    We may be a bottom army without battletome, but what I often ear from my friends in our gamegroup is how annoying it is for them to bring my dawi down.

    Even if they win at the end of the day, it is not without struggle and attrition, because of how resistant dorfs can be and how hard they can strike back once engaged.

    Stick to it, don't give up and strike back hard. Even if we can't win sometimes, that will not be without pain for them. And now we can squeeze more tools in our lists for it.

    Remember, we're more than ever an army of steel and gunpowder (and grumbling, of course).

  3. Well, also I would love to see cannon back with Dispo keyword, I don't think it's going to happen yet.

    Just think about it if Dispo keyword: Cannon are 2 / 4+ / 2+ / -2 /D6 right  now.

    Buffed with engie and Grudge and so on, you got it at :

    2 / 4+ recast all / 1+ (!!) / -3 / D6

    For... 160 pts.

    That's waaaaay too broken to let it happen IMO.

  4. Congrats lad ! What a nice review !

    I was wondering how effective the Gauntlets could be against an all CC army, and if it could be useful against BoC, now I'm eager to test it with a wall of Ironbreakers !

    I see why you used it with Runelord, but how restrictive is the use ? Does it works on all models at 6" - of the user, or does the enemy unit needs to be entirely at 6"- ?

     

    On Cannon and Gunmaster, nothing to add... just point at them and shoot, everything goes boom.

    On Ancestral shield, I dunno... I most of the time prefer to use Forgefire, to put something down quickly with the Grudge/Longbeard/AncestralGrudge combo.

    Depends of the situation.

    @Thiagoma, Thanks for the info, I'm starting to get impatient here.

    As everyone in my players group get optimizated, I start to feel how strong the limit of not having a battletome and be part of V2 is.

    Still waiting, then...

     

    Oh, and @Furuzzolo, may I use your Rune lore from your Dispossessed Battletome on Narrative Play ? I'll give you my opinion, but it looks so cool and there is a lot of options !

     

  6. On #1 matter, Runelord to me.

    Can buff with +1 Rend on the unit that TP with him and do little miracles I think with Irondrakes, Hammerers, Quarrelers...

    It can also be useful to have some dispell lads across the field.

    Warden King is too valuable in order to hold the line to send him across the map.

    On #2 :

    I don't play Fyreslayers, so... Dunno. :D

    Don't loose faith mate, we can still hit pretty hard, and have some tricks down our sleeves.

    I have a scheduled match in 2v2 in a few time. I'll be playing 2k5pts list with a BCR ally against Skaven and Gloomspite.

    That's an outdated battletome army and a non-battletome army against the most recents battletomes.

    And I can tell you we're not loosing faith and they really can't be sure of victory.

    We're not 0% chance of winning against AOS2 Army. We're 100% sure to hit pretty hard, no matter if we win or loose.

    There's enough with only the old Grungni lorewise to get a single Dispossessed faction and Battletome, not merged with humgi and elgi.

    Woops ! My bad ! It is a combat phase buff only. I don't know why I thought it could work on shooting phase... :/

     

    As I would love to see Bugman's Brewery (And Rangers !!) and miners back, I don't think we will.

    In that case, Dispossessed would be too much close to what Dwarves were in Battle.

    Yup, you didn't get my point. ;) I prefer Quarrelers over Thunderers.

    I don't prefer Quarrellers over Irondrakes, I love the two of them. Both for differents roles and targets.

    If I want something big, armoured, or whatever stone dead (forever) fast, I go for Irondrakes. They are my little short-legged nukes that are going to rip you a new one if you don't pay attention.

    On the other hand, if I want something to hold an objective, flank my opponent or even hold the line (!), I LOVE my Quarrelers for that. 30 of them are bulky, tanky and quite good on melee for a shooting unit. And they can do miracles on lightly armoured infantry, with a threatening range of 24". Suppressing, capable of pinning down opponent, holding objectives and the line... What else ?

    And don't forget, that's not : 60 shots 4+/4+/-/1 for Quarrelers, but more about : 60 shots 4+ reroll 1 / 3+ reroll 1/ -1 / 1. If I want something dead or crippled, I'll make sure of it.

    You get that too with Irondrakes, with only 10 of them and a captain that litteraly wreck Monsters.

    That's why I prefer Quarrellers.

    Armoured / Big unit ? => Irondrakes

    Lightly target / Big blop of thingy ? => 30 Quarrellers.

    But I forgot to say, I play mostly in 2k - 2k5 pts.
