  1. Thank you Edit: One more question. How should I position the 3 ballista? Using Ordinator for the 30" attack seems wasted. How do you position your ballista to keep the 18" attack?
  2. Which weapon option for ordinator do you consider better?
  3. Which is the better weapon option for Lord ordinator? And is using Ordinator + 3 ballista worth it? Also: What is the consensus on Aventis Firestrike? he could do the same job as a stardrake not die and reflecting mrotal wounds back especially with azyrite halo. what do you guys think?
  4. yea you're right about that thanks for the correction !
  5. Whenever you can drive your own car its always fine though.
  6. Yea I've read about this solution. I usually just play in my local gw (about a 20 min car drive or 45 + with public transportation) or with my friends. Since i dont always have a car i wouldn't use the magnet method for public transportation.< But usually its a rather short distance.
  7. IMHO Lord Aquilor is really underwhelming. He is basically a worse version of Lord Arcanum. His Commadn ability seems really nice, but in reality yo'd never want to move any of the Units listed. Hunters are in my opinion one of the worst units SCE has got to offer. Palladros are already fast enough themselves and raptors should never be moved unless you really have to because of their buff if they didnt move. Aetherwings are also really fast and are generally only used as charge blockers to keep your raptors safe and give them more freedom to shoot whatever they want and make sure they dont have to move. To field sequitors efficiently you'd have to run a Lord Arcanum to make them a battleline. Using Liberators and sequitors are wasted points honestly. You could just go for a unit of Evocators instead (100pts for liberators and 120 for sequitors). Evocators (200 points for 5) are by far one of the best units SCE has right now. They hit like a Truck and can pretty much kill anything if they strike first. Im not a big fan of Gryph hounds either. They're too expensive for what they have to offer. 18 wounds with no save. Yes they cant be attacked because they can run away but would you really want to let them attack first, when you could just use something more dangerous instead and risking that your opponent kills a important hero because you didnt attack with him first? Also they have to be WHOLLY within 6" of a lord castellant or Veritant which is like basically nothing. Another reason is that a Lord castellant is usually only used because of his lantern. giving your units like fulminators, stardrake, Lord Celestant on dracoth a 2+ save with rerolls of 1 gives you a 1/36 chance that an attack actually goes through, but you have to keep castellant close to those heroes to maintain the buff. My recommendation would be to get a lord arcanum first to field your sequitors as battleline. If you like the way cavalry plays you could also upgrade your palladors to fulminators which deal insane amounts of dmg as well(You'd have to use a Knight heraldor for the fulminators tho, if you read both warscroll im pretty sure you can figure out the rest for yoursefl ) . If you dont want to spend more money right now then poretty much the only way to play to field these troops would be filling up your battleline with liberators and taking sequitors as a non battleline and just add palladors and lord aquilor. Honestly that would be a pretty mediocre list for ~ 1k points because it lacks synergy. You'd basically have 4 different units all doing their own thing without benefiting each other
  8. This might be kinda off topic, and im unsure if it's the right place to ask. By now i got alot of SCE minis and im wondering if any of you could share a good way to transport them safely. I've thought about the citadel crusade case or other Brands. I think that zigzag foam is a relatively good solution. Most of them are pretty much the same size and would fit into that specific case perfectly. Im more worried about all my heros, especially ones like lordr relictor, knight heraldor, lord arcanum etc. Whats your opinion on the citadel cases? Worth it or overpriced? Any other notable Brands ?
  9. Could you elaborate that? Antoher user (Requizen) who seems to be rather knowledgeable said the core is a knight vexillor, gavriel and 15-20 evos. The lists I saw dont even run sequitors
  10. Seqs bomb? I thought evocators do the heavy lifting in these lists?
  11. I dont know why, but i always played them with 2 wounds each. I guess thats the nail in the coffin for fulminators
  12. So I've been thinking alot about this lately and also tried it in 3 games now (not a huge amount, but playing games is time consuming :D). I'm struggling between Fulminators and Evocators. Im not talking about a Gav Bomb list here, evocator are much better for that strategy. Fulminators pros: -Double the base movement speed of evocators, makes them that much more mobile -They got a pretty decent range attack, although its relative luck dependend (also only 12" range but they fast movement makes up for it) -Even though they got the same number of wounds, they are much tankier than evocators- > 3+ save and +1 to save on ranged attacks is better than reroll 1s Fulminators cons: -40 points more expensive -only 2 models making the weakness of SCE even more pronounced -Slightly less damage than evocators ( although far more luck dependent, that range attack is really hit or miss) -need a heraldor to be very efficient (without a charge they dont do any dmg) adding more points to play them effectively Evocators pros: -Insane amount of dmg for 200 points -They are wizards and get a ban and kinda ok spells -40 points cheaper than fulminators Evocators Cons: -Standard move of 5", pretty slow. takes time to get them where they are needed -Really Squishy, they pretty much from everything that has A range or B any form of rend -No form of ranged attack at all So what do you guys think? In an objective driven game without using the gav-bomb which unit do you prefer? What are your thoughts on these 2 units and did i forget any cons or pros?
  13. I definitely like this list alot more than the Gav-Bomb list. While I do think that the list is really strong if used well, I dont think that it fits my playstile, i will definitely try out that list though (Im relatively sure that this list could take the fun out of the game for my opponents, since i usually play with my friends and most of them aren't really that competetive and seem to like longer games. And even if I would win all the time, I'd not to be the one my friends don't want to play against) What do you think about using straight up sequitors in this list and also the everblaze comet for denying space for my opponent? Like dropping it on an objective thats hard to reach? (I do love that meteor :D). That would mean dropping the fulminators though and giving lord arcanum staunch defender, which would force me to keep him clsoe to my stardrake. Essentially I'd have to split my army up in a support group for my drake (castellant+ arcanum) evocators + heraldor and 3x5 sequitors to play around objectives. The skinks would be kind of a wildcard putting them where i need them the most. Although Id have to buy them first :D. Edit: Which weapon is considered better for the stardrake and which for evos? Also here is the list EverblazeCometList.pdf
  14. That list is 2060 points btw 2 Things i dont like about that list: -compared to other lists ranged combat is lackluster -besides dropping via celestial realm most of these units are really slow moving And one of my friends has this one list to just countering my stardrake which is really annoying, but thats a niche complaint. (He basically stacks -save debuffs with his nurgle army. even with staunch defender and lantern drake is at a 4+ save. Anything with rend suddenly kills him really fast and he cant heal anymore)
  15. Do you mind sharing the actual new version of the List with all the new sacrosanct units available?
  16. I actually didnt know that it had been changed!
  17. Yea I remember that list, didnt use it much myself though. I usually dont run my army without a lord castellant. That lantern is jsut too amazing. Im also a big fan of Lord Celestant on Dracoth + Fulminators and a Heraldor. Didnt find a good use for my Lord Exorcist or Knight Incantor yet though
  18. That's actually a really good use for the comet. But its still countered heavily by a lens.
  19. I asked about a competetive list earlier and the answer i got was gav-bomb. Are there any other good lists out there? I dont really wanna buy 10 more evocators for 1 strategy
  20. In my experience the comet can be either a game changer or pretty useless. In one of my games, where the deployable zone was farily small I managed to nuke half of my enemies army with that comet, because he mainly had 1 hp models and could do nothing about mortal wounds. But that was before people figured out how good lens of refraction is. Still unsure including it in a list is worth it
  21. Sorry for asking this again, but i didnt get an answer last time. What do you guys think abnout the everblaze comet? Worth it?
  22. Thx again for so much information! I´ll have to try this to see if i like that strategy
  23. First of all ty so much for all that lovely information! I´ve got a couple of questions about the gav_bomb strategy: 1. Who is the General in that list? And which Artefact/Command traits do I use? 2. How do i determine what the best target is to drop the "bomb" on? 3. When do i drop the "bomb"? 4. Do I use one big Evocator unit or do I split them up in 4 units or 2 units ? 5. Using the Warscroll builder the points for using Gavriel, Vexillor and 20 evocators are 1020. How do I effectively protect my own objectives? using lord arcanum + sequitors is another 600 points and doesnt feel quite powerful enough to me to defend the objectives on my side. Lord Acanum: I did notice the fact that his survivability is practically almost equal to e.g. a Lord Celestant on Dracoth. But in all teh games i´ve used him he just died very fast compared to others. That might be just bad dice luck since I dont ahve huge number of games played with him but he just feels kinda "meh" to me.
  24. Is there any kind of really competetive list for stormcasts yet? My problem when building a list: I cant really decide between taking sequitors + Lord Arcanum (Im not a big fan of Arcanum, every time i used him he did basically nothing all game) as my genereal(this is whaat bothers me the most tbh. I dont like having Lord Arcanum in the front, where i need staunch defender for extended fights. Or simply just taking judicators. I think they are perfectly balance but spending so many points just to get a battleline thats range that cant really defend objectives well is not that good IMO. Maybe im just playing some units wrong but what are your thoughts about that? Any tips you can give me? Also how good is Lord Ordinator + ballista? And what do you guys think about the everblaze comet?
