  1. I wasn't sure wich army start with old world, so I think I'll finish an old project πŸ˜…, building a couple of 500p forces using the stuff I have left from 4th ed boxset as the core.
  2. and as I've seen pointed out elsewere, the names doesn't match the official ToW ones (dwarfs->dwarven mountain holds, etc)
  3. check the tray sizes, because the footprint of the tray is going to be quite bigger than it should
  4. totally agree, but its weird when gw tends to prioritise updating core troops when there is a range refresh.
  5. at first glance it looks like a skaven hand, but they have 5 fingers, and the rumour looks like it has 4 like nurgle demons... albeit its less blocky than current minis, but mortal nurgle (sorcerer, rotmire) dont have claws...
  6. January 18-21 is Las Vegas Open, so its kind of expected to be a preview there
  7. "Alongside these new and returning kits which form the bulk (or entirety) of your force, there will also be a selection of returning metal heroes and specialist units that will be available to order direct from games-workshop.com. " metal stuff is coming for everyone... hopefully not on made to order Foot knights are bigger? I think it was suggested that the kit is compatible with mounted knights. It would be a nice touch, so older models can get some glow up this way.
  8. I hope they also reprint both realms of chaos books. They used to have those too at warhammer world with RT.
  9. Warcry just has had 1 big box with stormcast and it wasn't the "core box". On the underworlds side, of 9 seasons just 4 boxes had stormcast (not counting the 2 begginer boxes), so it's not really that bad
  10. remember that the main change between warhammer fantasy and AoS is that now they have an ongoing narrative. Each narrative arc kicks off with a new editon, gets expanded with some one shot books and battletomes and gets a finale in a series of campaign books. It really doesn't matter if they made up the stories because they designed some new toys or if its the other way around. We get the story to advance and new minis. And inbetween all this releases we get more fluff, sidestories and explore the realms in the boxed games... So as everyone has said, we'll get new models, range refreshes and at some point some housekeeping when there are too many references that can be handled/make bussiness sense.
  11. ok! that's weird XD I assumed it was going to be a bookstore limited thing like the other games
  12. ok, now I'm really lost XD so... they released an starter box (vanguard stormcast vs skeletons) on June, and soon are releasing the Slaanesh vs Idoneth "core" box... and there is another starter box announced? Is this the Barnes&Noble box (Ironsoul vs Skeletons) or another thing?
  13. shoudn't the underworlds section be something like this now? Underworlds Starter Set Again?! Slaanesh vs Idoneth Core box Chaos Warband Destro Warband Rival Deck 2
  14. If I understood it well, the content of the pdf is also in the book (like they did with lumineth) and the book also has the regiment of renown rules
  15. If the idea is to just place on the Old World Store the active supported armies, problably old skaven units that get replaced (at some point they should be!) in a rework will just get shelved until Skaven are considered active supported. Maybe could get some made to order stuff, but I don't think they could get more than that. From the "core factions" list, I believe the only ones that haven't been featured on any photo are Warriors of Chaos and Beastmen.
  16. It could be, but I think the main purpose of this kind of narratives is to set a status quo where all factions despite being in the same alliance have an ingame reason to fight each other
  17. but the only difference is going to be if monsta killaz are released in a dual box or standalone. We're not going to get MK + another dual box
  18. from 6th ed army book (I think there is a slight green tint from the scans) the skin recipe on the army book is Graveyard earth+ Shadow Grey base. Highlights mixing in Kommando Khaki. Final highlights with Bleached Bone. Current colors are: Steel Legion Drab, The Fang, Karak Stone and Ushabti Bone.
  19. wasn't that rumour the one that ended being one of the Claws of Karnak minis?
  20. the one you're refering to was a wh+ mini
  21. yeah, its weird. I kind of understand the focus on 2d gameplay in a starter set, but the smaller warbands with no build options maybe is too much dumbing down. 4 walls and 2 landmarks is more or less the same quantity of the KT starter (but those feel bigger and there are also the barricades). at 60/65€ would have looked better, something inbetween underworlds and KT starters.
