  1. I thought it came from the battletome but haven’t read it so was wondering. I read the Thanquol bit although and it does not seem to fit him scheming from Azyr as he appears apparently more recently. Must be something else but maybe the answer is already in the battletome and is nothing new. Pity, could have been something new and exciting as it looks like the first witness of reforging.
  2. From the new article about Skaven, is this new information and a hint on something to come or we know it? ”Eshin managed to witness the final preparations from the shadows of the God-King’s throne room. Disappearing through a hidden gnawhole, they shared this knowledge with a mysterious master…”
  3. Speaking of which at the end we also liberated some old heroes. Do we know what that led to? Could that be what we are waiting for in the forbidden power expansion?
  4. I hope Nagash listens to you and gives you his blessing! On a serious note I’m of the same opinion, 12 battletomes total this year seems absolutely doable even considering that if Warcry is really an AoS KillTeam would be weird to see updated rules for the infantry for a faction without battletome and/or new rules. Although the GH 2019 may fix few of those especially now that things like Skaven drop from the GH allegiance rules as they got a battletome
  5. FEC have Deadwalkers as allies so there is still hope that one day they may get their own line with a new battletome. The Terrorgheist/Zombie dragon too in the app disappeared to be replaced by the new profiles. Although in the website are still sold separately so it may be an app bug. Maybe LoN is a placeholder until they have time to flesh out the individual subfactions
  6. It is good value for money until you actually get to the points, the Idoneth one comes at 400 points with the Morsarr option advertised, 380 if the Ishlaen is chosen instead, making it at 0.14£ per point the most expensive together with Ironjawz (also at 380 points), second only to the Daemons of Slaanesh. To me they complement perfectly the Christmas battleforce, but has no re-buy value or adds anything to someone who already has a collection of ID. On the other hand the Maggotkin with 520 points are actually a good start having already half of a Vanguard host.
  7. Thanks @Overread and @EMMachine for your lists, really helpful. I finally managed to clean up my Excel (found in the link above) with your information. In May it's coming a new collection of short stories for now present only as eBooks called Myths and Revenants. Didn't know City of Secrets was in the Silver Shard, too late 😂 @Throt the Unclean Neferata and Nagash are collected in a new anthology coming out this summer.
  8. The good thing about these releases is that they reuse existing miniatures so you don’t need to buy an entire boardgame for one single miniature to complete your collection. Or scavenge eBay... I know it’s not an indication of a trend but try buying Silver Tower today... I hope they keep this direction. I don’t mind having 4 myrmourn banshees more if I like Dreadfane but I would mind buying Dreadfane if it was the only way to get a new maybe even useless unit! Anyway we still don’t know much about Forbidden powers and we have some hints about Warcry quite exciting and we are not yet in March, so very much looking forward!! Which one is the next studio preview? I know there’s Warhammer Fest the 11-12 May but maybe there’s something before then
  9. Hi @Overread thanks for the link to this post. This is my Excel, I'll have a look to try and combine. The dates are a bit missing and didn't enter all different places a novel can be found (mostly just the latest in publication date). I have also not added Labyrinth of the Lost cause it's labelled as a Warhammer Quest novel, I may. https://drive.google.com/file/d/12_0i8q3oPeXUmtJAhO4D_0JiqmRQtlHe/view?usp=sharing Feel free to comment
  10. @xking do you have the original tweet? I’m trying to list all novels and stories of AoS and group them by age and book where to find them and would be useful to share some data thanks
  11. All I know is that so far this year is jammed packed and for now it’s all exciting stuff but lucky for my wallet nothing that means new expenses for me except Warcry if it will be a real good skirmish maybe with new scenery. This can of course change if brand new armies join the fray, especially a Deathrattle one wink wink 😉
  12. That’s true, so it’s two. Good trend! The horses are brutal but they can come back the turn after...
  13. True so they could not be predatory spells and as such don’t change control and they could damage anything. Although I believe you still need a mechanism to dispel them since I suppose you can’t prevent the prayer?
  14. Also I wanted to note down but the LVO announcement hid it, the Skaven have the first endless spell that does not hurt the caster when is sent back! That’s super cool and I wish there were more options like that cause predatory spells are really situational and often difficult to pull and reconnecting to LVO, maybe Khorne artefacts work the same way? Cause you know a Order wizard pulling a Khorne prayer back to you does not make much sense...
  15. Well to me brand-new means they don't have anything, aka KO and IDK treatment. Of course marketing could have chosen their words badly. But assuming they know English better than I do and they want to tease people I would expect to be surprised this year. So far not many models came out and we don't really know how big Slaanesh and Slaves are going to be. If we say many tomes are coming out it is possible there is space for new things. Plus so far neither StD or Slaanesh have been confirmed for 2019... There's also the thing about the secret being revealed, well Slaanesh is in a hidden location, I doubt, but do you guys think it may fit about the secret revealed? This space between Ulgu and Hysh? About Deathrattle, exactly as Nighthaunt their core can be part of LoN while being split and have their own identity. In Soul Wars from Josh Reynolds Deathrattle and Deadwalkers have their own army next to Nighthaunt so it's not improbable, although so far just wishlisting... The only other link would be the Shadespire warband that as today is the only warband that cannot be played in AoS outside of a Grand Alliance army.
  16. Now, I’m not a native English speaker but if we analize this statement: ”The new edition of Age of Sigmar brought a lot of new tricks to the game, and soon, more armies than ever will be able to take full advantage of them – 2019 will see new battletomes for every Grand Alliance! Some brand-new armies will be joining the fray, as well as classic armies updated for the new edition.” It’s telling us: 1) brand-new armies: that’s plural and does not include what was presented in the past or Slaanesh or StD as those are already existing! Super excited! 2) Classic armies updated for the new edition: again we have to ignore the past cause the 2019 was in the previous sentence and here it says “will” so that means at least 2 new. And that could be StD and Slaanesh, but then combined with: 3) new battletome for every grand alliance: Order is the only GA missing so far, it could be combined with point 1 above or could mean Sylvaneth, KO, etc... All in all I’m saying that this year looks super exciting with something brewing this spring/summer plus a new skirmish game / set of rules! And we are only 40 days in the year! I doubt they even started teasing this winter as something always happens at the end of the year even if just a Beast of Chaos battletome!
  17. Not Deathrattle if we go back in time with Shadespire...
  18. Without adding many stories re-printed in many other collections, see Pantheon. Just to keep track of all of them I created an Excel, it's actually massive... And confusing. Many collections like the Advent Calendar are mixed with other settings so you then need to wait for other collections AoS specific if you don't want to buy the digital-only format... And totally agree with @RexHavoc. I also like having them in proper shelf and separare and I hate the mixed anthologies, so have to wait until they are published in a AoS only anthology.
  19. Thanks a lot for this @xking. Last 3 stories are now in Gods&Mortals, the new collection book. It helped me a lot to understand what it contained your description here. Thanks again.
  20. In the Realmgate War series the most prominent realms are Aqshy (start and few other pieces), Ghur (part of the Godbeast fight), Chamon (quest for Ghal Maraz and godbeast fight) and Ghyran (Alarielle rebirth). Shysh appears quite a bit in some of Josh Reynolds books (Nagash Undying King and Souls War in forefront).
  21. Btw the leaked rules for Hammerhands look exactly what I would expect from WD rules. Something niche for an already existing army but that adds flavour. So much potential with this template, I just hope they can keep it at a rate of once per month and not just alternate with 40K reducing it to 6 times a year. Didn't read the rules, will buy WD, so not sure if they are totally useless, just liked the format similar to the battletome.
  22. Right thanks, so basically is because the mould is the best part of the cost. That's a real pity because this way they only generate eBay market that is not really GW revenues... To me feels a pity that new miniatures were used to entice people in specialist games or boxes and those are usable only there and only for a limited amount of time. Would make sense to re-use existing miniatures and if you add more, be ready to make them available even afterwards so you don't lose all the work to create the design and mould. In the end the packaging itself is the minor of the costs.
  23. I never understood why they never reboxed some of the more popular options from those specialist games like Spire of Dawn, I think only Tzeentch got a special treatment following Silver Tower? The new skirmish rules in WD are nice but too generic and so far from Kill Team kinda of approach and considering is taking them at the very least 2 magazines to write them down I strongly suspect we are not going to see other skirmish rules any time soon. Would kinda invalidate all work done on WD...
  24. Not to add fire to the topic but even if I would welcome Human factions for whoever likes them and some diversity, I wouldn’t buy them or be even remotely interested in it and I don’t think I’m the only one who plays a fantasy game because more interested in fantasy races. Even in Total War, Empire is the only faction I didn’t play and Bretonnia the only campaign I didn’t enjoy (but that is because of the game mechanics). Anyway back to Seraphon, it looks a wonderful theory and I really hope you are right @xking would that mean also a drop of the demon keyword? We shall see
