  1. I think the below leak (from begin april someone her sorted out) turned out to be accurate, and I think it pretty much confirms that all are int the Tome, but cannot taken separately except for Radukar Beast. And I assume (although not mentioned here) that is also for the other Vyrkos that were reveled, not in the boxed game. I guess you basically have the choice of making a Vyrkos themed army or a more traditional themed Soulblight army led by the Motarch or the Vamptaur. Still room to add more models to the Vyrkos list, but somewhat limited as you already got a lot of Leaders taken from teh group.
  2. The preview was not more or less than I expected. Biggest surprise for me, if you can call it that way, was that Kragnos is destruction after all. In the end I kinda expected it to be Chaos/BoC. I love the Dire wolfs, they are awesome. Nice details like the crow picking from the flesh of the back of one of them. Also really happy with the "Beast" and "grandma", as I am a big fan of the Romanov style aristocracy from the Vyrkos Family (not an Historian, so maybe that claim about Romanov style is not historically correct, sorry in advance ) The only thing I am not really enthousiastic about, is Lauka Vai. No doubt it is an excellent sculpt like all reveals and teasers so far, the pose, the details, the base, but somehow, I dunno, I have problems with the giant vampire torso growing from the the neck of a creature. That probably tells more about me than the sculpt itself. Apparently my brains have issues with appreciating things that are anatomically incorrect. I had a bit of the same with OBR. All on all I think GW did an excellent job with Soulblight. Units that really needed an upgrade were replaced by so much better models (zombies, fellbats, mounted wightking), others that may not need an upgrade that badly will still significantly be improved (skellies, direwolves, bloodknights), A lot of flavor added with the Vyrkos, the new big centerpiece with two variants, and then there is still a lot that we can choose from the original range (Zombie Dragon, Corpsecart, graveguard, Black knights, Neferata, Mannfred, Vargheist), some not yet confirmed staying, but I guess Mortis engine/Coven Throne, Sepulchral Guard, Necromancer and whight king on foot will stay, and the old finecast models will be gone together with the units that are replaced. Given the rumours Nighthaunt and Arkan etc are now no longer available for Gravelords /LoN 2.0. I hope this also means that Nighthaunt can get some buff in the future, as I think some models were nerfed a bit, because they were to strong in LoN. Kragnos, excellent model...although having a bit of trouble seeing him next to the current destruction forces. Very different Aesthetics. I will probably not select him for my BCR. Wonder what it will mean for BoC at some point. With AOS 3.0 Destruction focussed, we probably can expect 2 or 3 new destruction armies over time. One most likely comes with the release of 3.0. But I can imagine that moving BoC to Destruction is a valid option at some point. I know that some or many people like them to stay Chaos, but I think they are in a bit weird position where they fit Chaos, but at the same time also fit into Destruction in many ways. At least it would solve the issue that Destruction is a bit one sided with mostly greenskins, and also gives Kragnos an army that fits his Aesthetics. For the BoC players that hate the idea of BoC being Destruction, see it from the bright sight, that when BoC would indeed be turned into a new destruction faction, you probably get a lot of love, and new models to look out for.
  3. This seems very plausible to me. I am not even sure if this is the nail into the coffin of CC, as someone suggested. Sure, no doubt it will not return anytime soon. I think with Soulblight, Kragnos and probably AOS 3.0, GW has different priorities at the moment. But maybe at some point...who knows. I mean it is not really in GW interest either to keep it limited as it is now. It must have been a big investment for them, and no doubt some people have had sleepless nights over the logistic issues they face(d). On the other hand, it seems that (all) the villains from CC will be included in the battletome, as stated in the leaks by someone who claimed to have read the book, which turned out to be 100% accurate. So I wouldn't be surprised when GW will somehow find a way to release the miniatures separately (provided, the problem they face doesn't concern the miniatures). That will be a bit of a novelty, as they share the sprues they probably need to be sold as a whole. I guess something like a sort of start collecting Vyrkos or something like that. Very well possible I think, as you cannot select them individually for you army anyway. Of course this would make a return of CC uncertain, as this way they will be able to recover their investment of the molds etc, without releasing a MTO for CC.
  4. Is it really that long? damn. Well, the definately can use an update as well, and I guess at least at some point they need a replacement for all the metal still found in the range. Lets hope they just don't drop them without when molds wear out. The range looks still pretty good though, but if you see what they are capable of with plastic these days, makes me looking forward what they can do for Skaven
  5. Really looking forward for today’s reveals, and what else is to come this week. Lowering my expectations a bit though, to prevent disappointment. I think it is reasonable to expect the last Soulblight models to be revealed, and we will finally find out who and what Kragnos is. Anything else would be bonus for today (some BR army sets again that come with BR:Kragnos?) If it is less, yeah got to admit, I would be a bit disappointed. For Saturday it is harder to tell what to expect. First teaser for AOS 3.0 would make perfectly sense, but the fact that it isn’t announced as AOS, is reason for some doubts. It far from excludes the possibility that it is AOS 3.0 reveal after all, I think, but we just can’t be as sure as when they would have announced is to be AOS upfront. I guess it just might be a marketing strategy to get everyone hyped up a bit by keeping it a mystery, I don’t know. It being the last day of the week, in the weekend, make you think it must be a big (the biggest?) announcement, and things like Horus Heresy or another look into the future for ToW, that is still years ahead of us, doesn’t seem to match that expectation. But who knows, as said I try to keep my expectations low for this one. From what I have seen from the blurry picture, the Vampire centerpiece may not be my cup of tea. A big vampire torse, hmm dunno if I like that idea….but lets see how I feel when I see it in all detail, so far all new centerpieces has been extraordinary this year. For Kragnos, really enjoyed the speculations the past week. There is so much it can be, I think there was seldom so much room for speculation, from Chaos to Destruction, from BoC to Kurnothi, or something completely new. Downside, no doubt some people will be disappointed today. Personally, by what we know so far, I more and more got convinced this will be Chaos, probably BoC. Seems to match the aesthetics, and as someone said, the BR seems to be about Chaos vs Order. Not sure what the line “my people, they are gone” means though. Looks like Destruction factions indeed will be the only ones completely excluded from BR, so I guess After Kragnos everything is set for them to get into the spotlight with the release of 3.0. A new army, if the rumors are true, what about the other factions?, would it be odd to expect that the other destructions factions will also get their share in the weeks or months after 3.0 is released?
  6. Ok I don’t want to make this into an endless discussion about something we probably will never agree uppon. I will not convince you, just like you will never convince me from the opposite. So better not waste too much of our time on it Only thing I want to say about it further, is that this is not about not being allowed to critizise just because it is free. What I try to say is that if there is something not working as it should, or could be done better, it would be far more constructive, even helpfull to report this in a respectfull manner at the place on this board that is meant for it, and not by repeatedly posting complaints all over the board about how bad everything is. Not sure what you are trying to achieve here. apart from that, not jumping to the first unread post, isn’t something I would call unusable or unacceptable... sorry if you don’t like what I am saying, but thats how I feel about it.
  7. I think the right place for any feedback is here: Feedback - The Grand Alliance Community (tga.community) I think however, if you do, you may not want to make it sound like you paid a lot for something dead on arrival. This site is for free (contributers aside) and people are putting their free time and effort in it, and maybe even money. That is something we should respect in my opinion. Just my 1.5 cents
  8. Oh my, that kroak is fanatstic. Always liked the character, finecast my only doubt that hold me from buying before, but...this one is amazing. If GW keeps bringing out models At this rate, I realy can’t resist (CC, Soulblight, Be’lakor, kroak, all underworld warbands ghis year, the nighthaunt guy,, and BR boxes like the one for Seraphon) I going to be broke in no time. What can I sell, my house, my kidney, my wife, my soul. Oh forgot already sold the latter. Like @chikout says, best season ever I think, and we are not even halfway.
  9. Pleasantly surpirsed but this reveal (again), didn’t expect that much for AOS. I labsolutely love the new blood knights, zombies and deathrattle. Zombies were high on the list for replacement, these are so much better now ( by the looks of the vidz and the models showed sepeartely seems to have at least 20 differnt models, or otherwise multiple built options. Not sure though, but looks more than 10 at least as the ones in the video are different. Deatrattle didn’t really need an update imho, but I love the eastern europe looks they gave them, as NOS says, they go for dracula all over, and I love it. Blood knights, really happy how they kept them close to the original design, but still considerable improved, and lets hope considerable cheaper too. All in all this going to be a great army with much variety when CC models are mixed in. Can’t wait. Good to have the final offcial confirmation what we already assumed, that we got a separate Soulblight faction, including deathrattle, zombies, bats and wolves. Wonder what it means for LoN. for WHU, this season is the best ever so far model wise, imho. oBR not being my favorite, but still looks good. The BR teaser, interesting...really no clue what to expect. The pose, and hair style feels much like the Kurnothi to me, but doesn’t seem to match with the my people are gone statement, and other oarts of what the voiceover tells. Question is if it the one talking or not....lets the speculation begin (oh it already started :)) whatever it is, didn’t see it coming. I love to be surprised. so far we are heading for a great AOS year I think, massive update for Slaanesh, second wave of Realm Lords on the horizon, Gravelords, great new models with WHU, Cursed City with awesome new models too, and at least 3 more BR to look out for, whatever that may bring. And still people find reason to complaint? Sorry, I find that a bit hard to understand. I think not many people disagree that we are having a extreme,y weird and difficult year for business, so no one should be surprised we have delays, and not everything is going as planned. Not only Covid, but also Brexit. But even without that excuse, the only thing we need is a little bit of patience...is that really so hard? And what is the alternative, not doing any reveals? guess that would only result in different complaints, about hearing and seeing nothing, AOS being neglected, 40k getting everything etc etc. Of course everyone should feel free to ventilate his or hers frustration about anything, but me personally am just really happy and looking forward for what is to come this year.
  10. well I hope that cursed City is coming in a really big box, as I probably have to live in it after I bought all the stuff I like.
  11. Damn, I love everything showed. This year started so well. Cursed City Whatever it cost I will buy is. Like all models, no exception. Also really happy to finally see some cool zombies ...not sure if I prefer them all having stuff on their back (seem to be GW thing these days), but it is so much better than the current zombie range, And the idea itself having them crawl out of the ground, roots grown into their bodies, yes .. hype is the mother of all disappointments, but hell can't stop it. WHU Bonespliterz Love them...as I like all warbands revealed so far...probably buy them all. Best season so far model wise. LRL really happy for the LRL players, think that are some great models completing the range. Just what it needed. Scenery piece is awesome too., New BT, yeah that feels a bit lame, but if I understand correctly there will be a way just to have the updated rules if you already got the previous one. Sounds like sort of fix for something that wasn't originally planned.. The Nighthaunt guy I just completed my NH army... now it isn't complete anymore, thanks GW ...not sure what I think of him...I like it, but I don't know somehow not completely convinced...maybe it just yet the other big think on the back...Will buy it anyway. Wight King Cool, great improvement of the original model...glad it is the next thing that seems to confirm a major release for Soulblight on the horizon. Be'Lakor Looks good, seems that it got detailed base as well, maybe a display type of model like Kavalos...lokok,ing forward to see a full reveal Bottom line, seems that I have to sell my house.
  12. I finished Kurdoss. My original plan was to make Kurdoss himself also ethereal green (at the edges) so I blended Black into white/grey as preparartion for that. But I actually liked it this way, so decided it to keep it as it is. I think to much hgreen could also be overkill. Not completely happy with the base, but cannot put my finger on it what is missing. I keep it as it is for now, maybe if I look at again after some time, I have a more fresh look at it. I thought this to complete my army, but I forgot about 5 Grimghast Reapers I still have to paint to complete the last unit. If that is finished I can finally say my tale is complete. In the meanwhile also started to do some scenery
  13. About stormcast. It was never my favorite army. Resembles to much sci-fi/ 40k for my more conventional taste for fantasy (lotr, gothic etc) Not that I hate it, There are just many armies and factions that I like more. However, yesterday my 9 yr old son painted his first mini, with a little help from his dad, and of course he picked stormcast for an army. They seem to be ideal for young people to step into the hobby. They appeal a lot to kids so it seems, with their knightly apearance, strong armour, big weapons, lots of gold and metal. They would easily fit in as a skin for Fortnite I suppose. Also for painting they are a good start, not to small, not to many tiny details, with their robes etc they are good practise for using contrast paints, and pure metals like gold are also a relatively easy thing to paint with decent result. if Stormcast is what is needed to get my son into this hobby..than .from now on they are by by far my favorite army bring on the next chamber please :D On them needing new releases. Well as people said before they already have plenty to pick from, with alot of variants. So no, I dont think they need anything new, but I agree that they didnt get much the past few years, so I agree that we should stop complaining and making cynical remarks about them getting too much. i dont think that holds true anymore. And no matter how many units there are, at some point you like to get something new and shiny for you army. And I guess they need a rule update right? Or are they still competative ( truly don’t know.)
  14. yes, i think that is really good news I think what they explain pretty much confirms what Runebrush already assumed. For EU you will have to pay the VAT applicable for the country it is imported...in theory you should no longer pay the UK VAT, but it takes the reseller to make the right arrangements...like wayland does now. With Wayland the right VAT will be applied at the checkout (so pay attention, price maybe higher after filling in the address), and they choose the method where you don’t have to pay through the courrier when it arrives at the border. I hope, and expect, that most other big resellers will do the same in the near future, but can take some time to make the required changes to their systems and website I guess. i just checked, and indeed I see 1% increase price on checkout, that is exactly what I expected. apart from paying maybe 1 or more % VAT depending on the country, you still may have additional cost like a handling fee from the courrier, or simply by them rasing their prices. Import duty,is, I think shouldnt be applicable in this case, due to the deal they made. Unless the goods are actually manufactured outside the EU at the moment it is maybe still a bit of a risk to order in the UK. It seems to take longer, things go wrong due to wrong papers...and i.e. the package I ordered was heavilly damaged. All the paintpots that were part of the order fell out during transport, and were missing at arrival. Must say, big compliment for Element Games. They resend them by airmail immediately, without any discussion, and at no extra cost, Great service as always . I hope they will start doing the same thing as Wayland, so I can order with them again.
  15. I think it was a pretty good preview. and with everything what was already shown before, it got me really excited about what is to come this year. Totally Hyped! Basically the preview had everything I expected or hoped for. Maybe a few more true reveals for LRL would have been nice, but I think that is more or less compensated by the leaks last week. Maybe these pictures were meant to be shown in the preview, and not intentionally leaked by GW after all, as many assumed? Either way it looks like LRL get plenty of options to chose from. I am aware that the quiet original and creative take on the Ealves is not everyones cup of tea and I guess the people who really wanted High Elves already gave up on them. But for those who already loved LRL, or the ones who like some but not all from the current LRL range (or hate some of it) this, I think this is very good news. This gonna be a very interesting army I think. I personally like how they got a certain majestic and serene look and feel, similar of how nature can present itself when you experience it from i.e. a top of a mountain. Overwhelming and calming, making you feel small. This where i.e. Sylvaneth and Kurnothi represents the more wild and untamed side of nature. Only question remains: Where is Tyrion. The sory of the two twon brothers is to good to be ignored I think. I cannot imagine that he doesn't show up somewhere. Following the discussion above, maybe its him in the vid. But as of now I tend to think it is just an alt built. But who knows. The WHU Vampires are absolutely awesome. Instant buy for me. I still find the current Vampire lords up to standard, but if the warband is what we can expect from Gravelords...damn, can hardly wait to see what is next. Same for WH Quest. Looks so damn good, I will buy it for sure. Seems that many Rumor Engines can be solved from this, including the Johan/ birdhouse Tease. Most if not all models from Silver Tower made it to AoS matched play right? So it is reasonable to expect these (and more) for Gravelords? Th e new BT for DoK was an unexpected surprise, love the Endless spells. If 3.0 is indeed gonna happen this year, as many expect it, I guess this BT will be 3.0 Ready. Same for Slaanesh. Would be nice if it comes with one or few new models, but have seen no signs of it so far. Now the waiting is for more reveals for Gravelords. Guess that will be for the next big preview (whenever that is gonna happen). Lore-wise it seems to make sense that when Nagash is weakened or distracted by Teclis assault (don't expect exepct him to be destroyed), Vampires, always hungry for power, will take the opportunity to revolt against him. I will probably not start a LRL army myself, I am tempted by Slaanesh, and will mpore than likely start to collect DoK soon. But Gravelords, if it is what I think it is, is the the army I really want. Really glad that, for what we have seen so far, GW has a a more traditional approach this time, compared with i.e. OBR. This gonna be long long months for me.
  16. WIP: first steps completing Kurdoss, still much to be done, but it is a start
  17. I feel there is still a good chance for a new WHQ, but I think this latest reveal/leak more or less confirms that we will also see new death models for AOS, regardless of a possible release of WHQ and the almost certain release of a WHU Soulblight warband. Given the amount of Rumor Engines and reveals that seem Death related, I don't think it will be a small release of just one or few new characters. A new faction (Soulblight) or a major overhaul of LoN seems more likely to me. Also the wording of the reveal of the Vampire Lord: "It looks like the power of ancient bloodlines is rising in the Mortal Realms ..." Doesn't sound like the introduction of a single model to me, more like a new army. In addition the "birdhouse guy" teaser does give me the feeling of something big coming, and not just a WHU Warband (but yeah just a gut feeling) and then there is also the introduction of new faction keyword ""Soulblight Gravelords Personally I don't see why there would be to much variety hinted upon for it to be a single Death Faction. I can't think of a reason why a Souldblight Faction could not be Vampire Lords leading an army of the more classic gothic Horror Units, including Deathrattle, Werewolves, Flesh Golems , bats, Zombies, Scarecrows etc. The only thing that doesn't seem to fit in is the vampire hunter (if that is what it is, I think so though)...so still very well possible to see that one and some of the other rumors end up in a new WHQ. If I have to make a prediction, I think there will be new Soulblight Gravelords Faction as described above, which means probably the end for LoN as most models, including Nagash, already found a place in a different Faction as well I am not completely sold on the new Vampire model yet, but probably just because of the hair painted to flat and to orange as some already stipulated. Interesting how the Eavy Metal Team , no doubt 1000 times better painters then I am, or ever will be, having more time to paint then I will ever have, still fail once in while to really sell the model on me, Not seldom a model impresses me much more when I see it in reality, or when painted by others. Could also be the way the pictures are taken (Telelens) as someone mentioned. What I do like of the new vampire that it seem to indicate that GW isn't going to do a completely different take on Vampires like they did for Skeletons in OBR. It looks fresh, but close enough to the classic view on vampires at the same time. I am definitely getting hyped for this possible new army. Edit: was typing while the WHU Vampire was revelealed...Love it...if that's what we can expect for AoS as well...I am 100% on board.
  18. Finished Reikenor today. I am quiet happy with the result . When Nighthaunt was released this was my least favortie name character, but must say it was great fun to paint, and I like it much more than I originally thought. Cost me at least a quarter of my last pot of Waywatcher green :/, damn gonna miss it when it is empty.
  19. Yeah that makes sense, I think the same. So much depends if the Re-Seller has the knowledge and willing to put effort and time in this. Probably they need to fill in different forms, follow a different process, etc. Understandable that it takes time for things to be sorted, so better wait for a bit
  20. hmm yeah, that sounds as awfull as it is possible lets hope not.
  21. Yeah that is what I am thinking as well, For Re-Sellers to sort out, guess if there is an option, they will as it is much as their interest as ours to keep the priced competative ...
  22. Sounds great!, thanks Oh yeah, love to, got to warn you that I am a far from experienced player
  23. some more progress, Mounted Reikenor. Next step will be a green glaze on the "fire" and wings.
  24. Oh great, do you have a link for me...or the name of the shop. Was already looking around for an alternative. I am in the Hague, so relatively close by, pick up is an option Edit: think I found it
