  1. Redmaw Plague works RAW.

1.2.1 is very clear in what friendly and enemy models are. Just exchange the words in 13.1 with the discribtion from 1.2.1:

    Quote

Only [..] units [from the opponent's army] can be picked as the target for an attack.

Can an allied Slaughterpriest receive the general Curse prayer?

Edit: As per 27.3.1 they can't. It's a bit unlucky because a Slaughterpriest with Curse would be great for StD

    Next to 27.3.5:

    Quote

Taking a prayer scripture enhancement allows every Priest in the army to know 1 prayer from a prayer scripture.

That's the "unless noted otherwise" part from 27.3.1

They've lost a little to not being battleline as soon as one pink splits. That could cost you vp in scenarios where battleline and heroes gain control of objectives.

One unit at most is enough now I think

25.5.1 "A Unit that has a conditional battlefield role keeps it for the entire battle, even if the conditions that required it to have that battleflied role in the first place change during the battle (your general is slain, for ecample.)"

The potential loss of S2D is sad, but I was already resigned to using them as a 2nd army after the euphoric killers change. It's a shame though, since I was planning to try out running a warshrine, and by the wording of enhancements I don't think allied priests gain access to the generic prayers.

Well, at least every Priest in the army can get a prayer. I think this one is clearer than Unique units and spells. As allied are not mentioned in the sidenote next to 27.3.1.

But you can't even do this now. Locus has a 1" range and you can't pile out, right?

TL;DR: It is situational, just get another artefact.

The locus does not have to come from the artefact bearer. You could tie an enemy hero up with another hero, or prevent the enemy to pile into your "whatever" nearby unit.

Like using the Masque to tag Skarbrand so he can not pile into your Bladebringer shredding Blood Warriors.

  6. Could you cite your source? The offical post "Core Battalion Rules Shake Up Matched Play Army Building in the New Edition" does not indicate anything like "Reinforcement Points".

    Quote

    Unit Size

    [..]

Perhaps you noticed the line from the Contest of Generals battlepack that mentioned reinforced units? These units are simply double the size of the minimum listed in their Pitched Battle profile. If the unit has the Battleline battlefield role, you can reinforce them twice, making them three times the minimum size. Now you can still run large hordes as long as you don’t exceed the available slots for reinforced units

  7. Edit: twice reinforced units count as two reinforced units. (Core Rules, 25.3.2, Page 30).

    Spoiler

I think Beliman is partly right. As it says "0-4 Reinforced Units", you could include  four trippled battleline units. At least as far as I know, there is no such thing as "Reinforcement Points".

You know what is sad? With that teaser, both Spiderfang and Beasts of Chaos would fit, but knowing my luck and the luck of those two ranges in terms of new models, it will be something else :(

    So Skaven are confirmed?! 🐀

This list is something I want to give a try.  Probably terribad but seems super fun and ridiculous:

I'd say your list lacks battleline units. Stormfiends are only battleline when all other units are Skryre (except the Masterclan general), One-Eyed Grunnock is no Skryre unit.

This is basically what I've figured out so far for a "competitive" HoS build.

    Invaders- Lurid Haze

    Glutos - 400 (general)

    Doombull - 100 (general)

    Doombull - 100 (General)

    Doombull - 100

    Great Bray-Shaman - 100 w/ rod of misrule

    Great Bray-Shaman - 100 w/oil of exultation

    10 Gors

    10 Gors

    10 Gors

    10 Ungor Raiders

    10 Ungor Raiders

    10 Ungor Raiders

    10 Bestigor

    10 Bestigor

    10 Bestigor

    The Depraved Drove

    Doomblast Dirgehorn

    The Burning Head

    Mesmerising Mirror

Basically a 2 drop that is about generating DP, controlling the board, and holding objectives. The key is just turning up the pressure from turn 1 and crippling my opponents units systematically.

You have too many Heroes. Depraved Drove is 1-4 Heroes. So maybe you want to exchange the Doombull and The Burning Head with a Cygor or more Bestigors.

For now, you don't need endless spells to kill your own models, as you can break coherence to generate DP.
