  1. There is another King named Louen the Orcslayer that rules over Bretonnia at this time. The Green Knight has been around Bretonnia since it's inception basically and Questing and Grail Knights have always been around as that is how the Blessing of the Lady is basically earned. So they all exist in the timeline of TOW and need to be properly represented in the game imho.
  2. So they say this is the whole launch range for Bretonnia. Can someone specify what this term "launch range" means exactly in this context? They haven't shared any information on some of the arguably most iconic Bret characters and units such as the King (on a Hippogryph potentially) himself, the Green Knight, Questing and Grail Knights. It seems weird doing a plastic box of Foot Knights that didn't even exist in WHFB and rereleasing these legendary models in their old sculpts won't you say?
  3. My hopes are that we get a full reveal, because it's way over due time. So hoping optimistically I am looking at the core book, full army rosters, base size conversion chart so we know where we are headed and can prepare accordingly, the two starting army battalions (with more than one new model (fingers crossed)) and finally a release date.
  4. Ok guys since we've seen the last (39th) model in the 40 years of Warhammer countdown today, next Wednesday we are getting a reveal of an iconic model of WHFB/TOW spearheading the big Warhammer Day reveal three days later. I think a new version of The Green Knight or Settra the Imperishable is inbound.
  5. Valrak has been spreading so many different "this is the truth" TOW rumors in the last couple of months, that I don't really give them/him much credit anymore. Additionally this last one covers only the "Battalion" army boxes. Lets say they are true, that still leaves a lot of discussion ground concerning other units we are hopefully getting. On that topic I was also thinking we might get new dual kit of Questing/Grail knights, the confirmed Foot Knights, Damsel on Foot as well as a Mounted one and to top it all a Hippogryph King (on top of the models that have been already revealed). Given the leaked Pegasus sprue I think it's from the Hippogryph King box that will contain a Pegasus option as well. If you study the bits you will see that the model front legs and head is easily interchangeable and a pair of talons and eagle head could fit in perfectly. Additionally the old Hippogryph was not so much bigger than a Pegasus so it kinda fits in. Hope I am wrong though and we do get a separate bigger centerpiece Hippogryph model, but I think GW will try and maximize output with the new plastic boxes.
  6. Hello there fellow Old World enthusiasts! Can any of you be kind enough to point me towards that Hastings Rumor about TOW and new kits? Tried to find it online, but couldn't.
  7. What are people's opinions on the Old World for this preview at Warhammer Day? Wouldn't it be suitable to reveal the game already and the starter box army battalions? On top of this the preview drops 3 days after the last day of the 40 Years of Warhammer nostalgia cycle. If GW are smart and want to properly honor WHFB and the true 40 year anniversary then I think they should reveal the project, game and minis right then and there! Thoughts?
  8. Shouldn't we have gotten the new model for the day by now?
  9. Do you think that GW will officially reveal all the leaked models today?
  10. I agree that it would be best if they updated all of the finecast models, but given how much they need to update some of the old line I would presume some will be left behind for a second wave (like the Trebuchet seems to be).
  11. So what do you guys expect from the new TOW army lines? As I main Bretonnia I'll share my thoughts: Returning models: - Men'at'Arms (plastic); - Bowmen (plastic); - Knights Errant / Knights of the Realm (plastic); - Battle Pilgrims (resin or metal); - Reliquary (resin or metal); - Mounted Yeomen (resin or metal); - Trebuchet (resin or metal); Updated models for the initial wave of TOW: - Paladin Battle Standard Bearer (resin); - Paladin on Foot (resin); - Damsel on Foot (resin); - Damsel on Warhorse (resin); - The Fey Enchantress (resin) (possibly dual box with Mounted Damsel); - The Green Knight (resin); - Louen the Orcslayer (plastic or resin); - Questing Knights / Grail Knights (plastic) (dual box); - Knights on Foot (plastic) (hinted); Hope to be getting even more than this, but I think these models would/should get an update in order to bring Bretonnia to the 8ed WHFB model quality standard that GW are obviously aiming for.
  12. So you think resin for the larger models like monsters and warmachines as well?
  13. Hello guys, bit of an off topic question for the people here that are familiar with the WHFB model ranges from back in the day, but also with the Horus Heresy line of models from Forge World and the way they are marketed and sold nowadays. So can you share your thoughts on the possible composition of new model ranges for the armies we are about to get for TOW, having in mind the current sets that are produced for HH? So for example for Bretonnia do you think we will get single characters like the Paladin and BSB in resin and the bigger models like Lord on Hippogryph and/or units like the Grail Knights in plastic or they will most likely lean towards full resin release of the new models?
  14. Cool! Do you think we would also get a monster riding Lord centerpiece and updated Demigryphs or we'll be using the Empire ones?
  15. Hey guys - kind of a off topic question to the current discussion - but what units and single entities you think will be included in the Cities of Sigmar full release beside the Marshall, Cavaliers and Soldiers they have previewed so far?
  16. Hope there is something prior to August 30th as it sounds really distant. If TOW is indeed getting released in November then the Autumn slot for COS should be filled in September/October. Hope they don't wait to reveal all the remaining COS minis until Nova.
  17. Guys when do you reckon the next GW event/preview is going to happen?
  18. I think it was on Twitter that when asked if the Green Knight would get a new model, GW answered "quite positively". So I would remove him from that list as we are about to get an updated model. The Goblin Wolf Riders as well, as we have a newer version now. I think they are on the photo just because the newer models haven't been produced at the time of the photoshoot.
  19. @Chikout well one thing is the actual writing about Questing Knights in the last article, second is the long/great sword renders from last TOW article and third is that current QKs are resin and I am sure resin will be moved aside to make way for proper plastic sculpts this time around.
  20. Ok guys, so as expected there must be some old sculpts included in the base game as to have large portion of the community back playing from day 1. If the project turns out to be a success (fingers crossed) they will continue refreshing old sculpts and at some point all of the older armies will have a mint look. However, I think at first only metal, resin and some of the oldest plastic sculpts will be redone. In terms of Bretonnia (as I have been heavily invested in Bretonnians for the last 12 years) this means Grail Knights, Questing Knights (confirmed) Duke (on foot and mounted), Damsel (on foot and mounted) and a centerpiece model of the King on Hippogryph are absolutely essential and will get new plastic models. There might be some additional single model releases to represent characters such as the Fay Enchantress and the Green Knight, as well as the Foot Knights that were hinted in the article. As we have seen in the latest post, the old Trebuchet resin kit is still used, so maybe the Pilgrims and the Pilgrim Reliquary will be left in resin too. These are just my thoughts on the matter and I am fine with their decision to bring back older kits that I personally think still hold up nicely.

  22. Can you please specify what these rumours were? Can't find them anywhere...
  23. Hey guys! Can't really say I like the Ossiarch Bonereapers, but can say there is heavy conversion potential in each and every one of the kits. However, I am writing this because I feel that this faction is sort of re-imagining the Tomb Kings (the unit line-up and the aesthetic drive behind the models kinda points me in that direction). So if this is the case (someone can point out if it has been confirmed or disproved during the seminar) do you think that maybe one day we would get a re-imagining of Bretonnia into the AoS setting?
  24. Krell is a skeletal chaos warrior.... Even if Nagash gave him new vocal cords, he wouldn't sound like that character in the video.
