They tend to do those boxes during the end of the edition narrative supplements (Dawnbringer) it possible they will do battleforces like 40K (like the recent OrK and Custodes one) and put the new heroe release in those one

Pretty sure in this scenario they discontinued the vanguard boxes for spearhead boxes when battletomes come out, I doubt they bother keeping both in stock judging but what happens in 40K GW also seem to prefer Army boxset for new releases these days where they can release a new codex/ battletome with new minis.

If there are new Spearheads box when the battletomes get release, Fyreslayers better be getting more models because they ran out of unit combinations for a new box unless they put the Magmadroth back in.

Supposively each spearhead is balance with each other and less need for list building which prevent some abuse. The mechanics are to be representative of Proper AoS mechanic so it not a completely different game. the problem at least with Warcry (beside needing additional stuff like terrain, unit and rule cards) is that it not really an entry point for AoS and more or an independent system.

I am guessing they want people to learn or familiarize about secondary and battle tactic scoring at lower casual level. It probably because it was harder thing for people remembering to do in regular game last edition, I know I often had to remind my opponent to choice a battle tactic sometime.

We sort of know what most of the skaven units are TBF, also true for things beyond the boxset since they sort of told you which Skaven models where going to be refresh during the culling article.

They may still replace them though when each battletome comes out. at least we know the skaven one has to be a brand new one and not the current vanguard box

They would need to release an Ironjawz box first for that to even happen. Probably won’t be release until their next book comes out.

Well from what I seen, they have very bad technical expertise and not willing to hire a competent team to make it work (hense why their stream always have problems from audio, sync, ext) probably why Rob doesn’t work there anymore.

Think it mainly because there was no Warhammer fest this year, both Dominon, HH, and 40K 10th had big shows during early May. This year is like just a random event in mid may is going to be the full reveal. then again releasing the trailer on Adepticon wednesday was probably already dumb as most people didn’t bother to see it live.

probably not during Index since I think the recent culling was taken with the index in mind. If we going by 40K, I expect they will purge any outdated model when each battletome comes out. (Example Badrukk got removed from the OrK codex). After the Skaven, Ogors are the last range to have a lot of resin models, so something (good or bad) will most likely happen then during this edition. There are a few resin minis like Fluxmaster, Epidemius, blue scribe, khorne herad on Juggernaut, and vice leader that maybe gone or replaced.

Granted 4th edition and the big boxset with Skaven and SCE release is probably the last big release AoS is getting this year if your going by history probably nothing much to talk about for the train

It more like these things are product that GW gave up on midway through each editions, and they just kind cramp it into the game to make them still relevant playwise. like they gave up on Endless spell release during 2.0 and many armies never gotten them even though it felt like every army was suppose to. faction terrain is also the same where a few consecutive release every army got them but then it stop for some armies. Incarnate is another level of questionable release, there was most likely suppose to be more of them release but it became a one off and became infamous for how unbalance it was. it more like excess unneeded weight

It’s more of a sucks to be a newbie kind of change especially since all these stuff tend to be hard to find or out of stock on GW online store. is golden if you had thoose endless spells and terrain pieces to begin with.

Actually I check the US store and SCE, KO, OBR, Gitz, and Ogors vanguard are renamed to Spearhead. It may just be a timing thing for all the boxes. they may just be changing the name now to avoid confusion.

They definitely up the design aesthetic and complexity of Stormcast eternal compare to previous releases especially when our next to Dominon

Well Skaven and SCE are most likely going to get new ones right after launch. going by 10th edition 40K, they have so far given every army a new combat patrol box with different unit make up when their codex is release.

Could also be that armies that got repackage are ones that are the last ones to get battletomes durinf next edition or that repackaging all of them take time.
