It couldn’t hurt to have better rules (gameplay is one of the 4 pillars after all) but then GW based their whole release schedule on rule and rules book and not model in the end, so we sort of beholden to care about rule since that is sometime what our niche favorite armies sometime only ever get in a edition. GW however probably is dictated by marine posterboy sells in the end

And yet here we are feeling whelm or underwhelmed about a shooting attack profile and not getting much model anyway

That not the reaction I see from the 40K rule preview side, that spice tau railguns was not rustling the jimmies of Tau players that for sure. edit: I feel like the 40K writer know how to promote there rules and write their articles, the AoS article are scare and tries to spin mediocrity rules into something they are not

I think the problem is with the article and not showing the ability or buff that makes them work as a unit. But since the NH book maybe not coming out for a while they are not really showing anything that not in the box currently. if there really nothing else they just basically worser then bowsnake 1.0 which where consider one of the worse units back then.

You could probably take him on, Roundtree doesn’t look that imposing in the videos

Yeah I remember that one but afterward they stop putting out engines for FW and outside of special teaser they don’t really do bloodbowl. Occasionally they do show of Necromunda and Titanicus on the engines but that about it if I remember correctly

I don’t think they have every use bloodbowl for the rumor engine at least not in their new format, the only specialist game they ever put up is for Necromunda

It really depends on when those two tome are release because the three month period of summer is June 21 to September 22, so it not really a half year no release but 3 months. If any of those two are getting a bigger release it can easily be stretch to September. Fall has historically been use to drop secondary and specialist games release as well as holiday specials like Battleforces, in general main line game release are lighter in that period of time to begin with. However stuff like Underworlds and Warcry are still possible even if they are not mainline games. edit: Cursed City as well Their also a possibility that the new edition in Fall is taking place of the AoS release for that quarter as well as Harrowdeep 2 but that just my theory if Rob’s rumor is true.

I know that there was a recent controversy with the AoS meta watch article and the Warcom taking out citation that would have acknowledge work. But I doubt he make a rumor to spite GW for it I mean they have done it before, there usually a big AoS drought every time there a new 40K edition so it not hard to believe it can happen just at this moment it is weird for it to happen when we already in a semi drought

- We had a rumor from a reliable source that suggest that the two summer battletomes (the ones after Nighthaunt and Daughters) where Skaven and maybe Sylvaneath. - The Warcom article for the battletome roadmap tease that the chaos tome was mischief and the order was vigilant sentinels which fits with the two aforementioned armies. - There was a GW leak of Sylvaneath reboxing in the summer which suggest that the battletome would be out around that same time. - as for model, we are assuming that they are releasing another battle box set that contain these two armies and that each one will get at least one new hero for this edition - anything else like more new models is current unknown, usually armies don’t get more then one hero release in a new edition. There is skepticism if these two armies are getting anything bigger then that - beastmen elves comes from the Kurnothi warband that was release like 3 years ago for underworld, they are basically half wood elf’s half satyr/centaurs and they allow to be field in a Sylvaneath army, there was also the Kurnothi archer release in cursed city who was more normal looking too. Nothing has been suggest that a Kurnothi release is coming anytime soon and the last Sylvaneath hero ( the Warsong revanant) was the tree variant but with GW you never know.

The one they teased in the new year was a chaos one so it maybe either dual kit or two kit that share the same frame like other Knight kits

Sadly I have no cause to doubt Rob here, since he got insider info on the Dragon production problem weeks before GW addressed it and he also got accurate leaks on Kragnos warscroll change. He also an ex GW employee who lives in Nottingham so if anyone who can get accurate info it would be him. well according to some of Whitefang reaction it either the same amount as other releases or Sylvaneath is the luck release

I am guess he not counting if Warcry, Cursed city or Harrowdeep Pt2 as AoS releases since it be weird if it there was absolutely no AoS release. Unless the combination of imperial guard, world eaters, Chaos Daemon, and squats basically jam pack the Fall quarter

That surprising, I would have expected at least two more in the Fall. then again Rob sources are sometimes right (Kragnos new warscroll rewrite) and sometimes off ( Foxes getting their movement ability rewrite). But generally he can get real information

Well they changed the logo for Horus heresy so I guess is that this time it the new edition box set that has been leaked for some time now

Actually eventually I do feel like they are going to release a Hamilcar Bear-eater model like they did with Gardius Steelsoul considering that the first AoS animation is going to be about him

Only for 40K since it distinctly has Eldar icons and the two are different being in both setting or at least that the reason people are giving right now. I still hold a glimmer of hope that there maybe more Nighthaunt stuff because of rumor engine. that and Adepticon is usually for the Spring releases and it would feel a bit too early to reveal the AoS summer tomes ( Warhammer fest in May would probably be the better time to reveal them). Since we already know the spring releases for AoS, there wouldn’t be much to reveal unless there where more models for AoS proper. Of course this is more hopium then anything really.
