Fingers crossed! It seems like OW has been more successful than GW anticipated though which may bump up future project priority to try to capitalise and hold interest. Edit @Whitefang any word on whether that's the case? You tend to be in the know and am curious how GW regards the OW's success in its sales/

Either way, I am a Tomb King man, but damn me if I don't love Cathay's designs! I have a feeling they will be my first Order/Forces of Fantasy Old World army!

Ah, a fellow loyal subject of LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!! I for one welcome the chance to remind the cathayans that ours was the first proper empire in the setting.

Maybe that's why old Astragoth needed the machine-legs?

I have decided to make some right-proper Bull-Centaurs, led by my metal Hthark from Bloodbowl as the Tauruk, and a Forgeworld Shartor.  I was thinking plastic Juggernaut bodies and Ogor torsos/arms.  Guess for the heads Ogor heads with added horns and maybe beards?  Then should do single-handed weapons and shields or should I do great weapons?  Gonna base them on rectangular stone plinthes of appropriate size for Old World too, then magnetize those for oval bases when friendly gamers are alright with Legends.

Well we know from old lore and TWW that Bull Centaurs often became biomechanical monsters due to experimentation, so the juggernaut bodies make sense (heck I've had the same idea), though I think you should use Ogroid Myrmidons as the upper torso since they're more muscular and bull like then ogors (so you just need to add beards). Speaking of the taurus in the room, what do you think will happen to Shaartor? will he labor in hobby limbo exile or be reborn in glorious plastic once GW decides to bring the lads onto the tabletop proper?

I wouldn’t be surprised if that becomes a lord mainstay of them all using mech bodies to move their stone forms around after eons in the Realm of Chaos.

Heck that might be why they need things like the Horns of Hashut to lay the groundwork’s for them since they’re too clunky to get somewhere fast.

Five bucks says that this quote by @Baron Klatz becomes the basic lore for either a new named character or the generic "daemon prince" type hero for the army.

  4. This may be the wrong thread to post this in, but has anyone seen the scarabs & scorpions included in this earlier preview post? I know odds are these are part of the tomb swarm kit, but I like to hope this means more plastic kits are inbound....TlYjpIhM9ZfEW1uI.jpg.324f5c41f5d29f5cf720a1c7f66b9000.jpg

Personally Neferata and Olander's regiments win from a purely lore standpoint: We know the former has sunk quite a bit of capital and influence into manipulating Ushoran and his get, meanwhile grief and delusion tend to go hand in hand.... so what I'm saying is that I'd definitely consider running either of these two alongside my FEC army.

She should’ve used a darker gold as well- Her skin is pale so it’s bright on bright, when dark on bright would probably look better.

Honestly if they used the old/standard gold (retributor armor, reikland flesh shade, liberator armor +stormhost silver) I think it could've worked out.

If only weird snake vampire lady had looked as cool. 😕

I think this mode is spot on.

Honestly IMO Sekhar just needs a mask and a better paint job for her skin. I'm thinking either the Tomb Guard champ's mask or one from The Masque of Slaanesh's wand:Screenshot2024-01-29at12_29_56PM.png.427b09f99ff6de687bc08cd622ce3dd0.pngScreenshot2024-01-29at12_30_58PM.png.dd2e65a192fd0d13fdd51a6690b507ef.pngScreenshot2024-01-29at12_31_19PM.png.84bb2e40c5f8b8248b67b2bcb53f9131.png

I see it focused on Chamon more everyday. Chorfs, Rats (their city-universe is under Chamon), all the tech, maybe new dwarfs... it gotta be Chamon.

The Gloomspite Gitz also have a rather large capital/Fortress in Ayadah which is located in Chamon, so we can also get ritz with everything mentioned above if we focus on Chamon.....

I'm a Deepkin main. I got married spring of 2018, and my wife and I went to the Shedd Aquarium as part of our honeymoon.

We took so many reference photos it's ridiculous.

All this is to say, I don't play them competitively right now, but I still have hope we will see more. We still have the Cythai plot from Broken Realms to sort through. They are one of the first fully fleshed out AOS armies to have a rounded roster. They really just need rules and points tweaks before new models.

A fellow resident of the Chicagoland area who also plays Warhammer?!?! My prayers have been answered.

You know me for so long now, yet you still think you can appeal to me with reason and logic! 🤔

The council of Tzeentch has spoken: you are to end your unnatural collection of orderly forces* and not taint your minions with parts of said blasphemous creatures! We can look past your fascination with Death cause for the time being they‘re the enemy of our enemies.

    * due to being gigantic hypocrites, hawt elf chicks** are cool in our book! 🤙

** kinda hawt is okay too according to Changeling-Jim***.

    ***Changeling-Jim is kinda lame tho

Wouldn‘t CoS minis represent said „adventurers“ better? Don‘t give in to your lewd Lumineth fantasies!

CoS= Native Peoples/Tribes "hired" by the Lumineth to be their servants.

Petition for the Council: Is it okay to buy Lumineth Models to kit bash them into Chaotic units? Haawt Elf Chicks included.

The ones with visors and chest armor look alright but the others have to be the worst design in AoS I've seen so far, no usual Lumineth malice included, they just look reeeally off to me. Those suspenders/straps make them look like kids! But good if you like them, I'm happy for those that like them.

Collect even more Lumineth and I'm gonna call in the Tzeentchian council and we gotta decide what to do with ya though! 👺👺👺 You have been warned, we don't look kindly at those that split up their allegiance to our wonderful lord!

The DoK character is really cool but there's nothing of interest to me personally - I wonder if GW overcommited to the Solar Auxilia though. Do 30k players want something other than mahreens?

Let me explain @MitGasI'm writing up a home-brew Shyishian Underwold based on Egypt/Nehekhara, I need some "enlightened" invaders trying to "improve" or "preserve" ancient artifacts that they think the locals can't protect because the invaders think their culture is superior...... only to get absolutely pimp-slapped by the locals because they didn't listen to the legends of curses.... and who better then a bunch of knife-ears to play the role of the French/British?

Personally if they were gonna add any more factions to HH, I would have preferred more troop choices for the mechanicum/mechanicus or maybe just a few more of their kits being made resin.
