  1. I would be surprised if it's more than that, I think the reveal will be more or less be for the other advent stuff.
  2. So the person who made the prediction that we will see the rest of the Slaanesh stuff on new years was spot on, perhaps we might get the death teasers as well.
  3. On the book? Despite my dislike of our current tome, Slaanesh needed a book at that point, if they didn't get one it would have been almost more than two years without one. In the past when the book came out, ironically I said GW were better off just waiting and releasing everything together, I'm sure Enoby recalls me saying that now that I 've bought it up. But I was wrong, people had collections and overall Slaanesh has been neglected for a long time. At that time, a book was needed to act as a stop-gap, that was what our current book was. Also bow riders look awesome, as Angrypanda said I'm sure some of the designers like the movie 300 or were at least inspired by it.
  4. Cause I'm a believer in simplicity, it invokes a far more better reaction than something overdone. Right, if that was creature caster, instead of having a simple insinuation, instead of his mace, he would have his genitals there, front right and centre. It wouldn't be the male one, it would be a boob and through the nipple you would get probably another genital or more likely perhaps a hand. He wouldn't be wearing armour either, also let's make sure he is thrusting forward so people know for sure exactly what he is doing. I can go on. Instead, GW went for something like this, which in my opinion is far more tasteful, which clashes well with his body horror face. Let's not forget this is being put next to products, which is also commonly bought by children. As I said, agree to disagree.
  5. Your reaction at something so simple tells me otherwise, I do believe the imagery on the cover was intentional, the artist wouldn't spend hours to do a piece like that without keenly being aware of what the image might invoke in people's heads. It's far more subtle unlike creature caster who like to make models (you can like the models, buy them etc, if you like them you like them) so they can shove genitals and ****** everywhere, overloading the models with such details just to invoke a reaction. Those models and its imagery is extremely edgy. In comparison to the cover which shows in a far more better fashion what Slaanesh is about. Anyway, agree to disagree.
  6. I disagree because here's why, you can view it as a joke and I'm not going to begrudge anyone that. But sex is part of the faction, part of slaanesh domain is literally called Carnality. In the current battletome, there is clear sexual imagery when they show you the realm and even the daemons trying to move away from a legitimate part of it in my eyes is weakness. Trying to get rid of it? Is cowardly. I'm glad GW did not get cold feet around that aspect, now I don't know how parents feel about this or their views, but if I was a parent, slaanesh would be the last thing I get for my kid. Considering the imagery and themes present. I'm also glad that the body horror aspects are clearly on display as well, you also see that on the front cover of the battletome. At the same time the palanquin lord is well endowed in terms of his stomach. I wanted a gluttony lord for years. In the end you can think they are manchildren and I doubt I will convince you otherwise but leaning into that imagery, and the designs of the models both male and female show me that the people working on the faction are not afraid to explore one of the clear and obvious aspects of Slaanesh. They also care about delivering the faction to me, as someone who has been waiting years. I'm happy with what they have done. In the end you can think they're cringe teenagers and the like, I see the opposite.
  7. For a moment, I want to talk about the cover. This was mentioned in the rumour thread but I hope the artist who did this comes back, also GW knew what they were doing with this cover and I applaud them for being brave enough to do it. I've always been an advocate that Slaanesh is a more "adult" faction and I'm glad GW are leaning into that.
  8. You know, I wouldn't mind if the Blissbarbs weren't a dual kit, since it seems going by the warcry book and the community articles that Sybarites have some sort of caste system going on.
  9. Nice! Thanks for the video links! Edit: The trailer music sounded familiar, thanks for pinpointing it!
  10. I'm in a similar boat, I have been waiting for this for a long time. Also I need to catch up on my backlog, just like Klamm.
  11. I can tell the person who chose the music for both Slaanesh trailers has great taste in music. Yes, I like classical, including Mozart and rock.
  12. Yeah, makes sense. I have to say, I'm really happy with the models, the amount of skin on the Blissbarb archers made me raise my eyebrow in a good way. Also, I can sense my wallet weeping.
  13. You know what I like about the mounted units? It shows how plebian the hellstriders are considering the lore around them, those riding the exalted steeds had to tame them, while Hellstriders were given that offer because they kinda sucked and were desperate.
  14. At this point, I think they should just show everything. At least we know the Palaquin is an actual model, might be a dual build between a generic hero and the newborn.
  15. Look, they could tease new death during the christmas reveal, but Deathguard were meant to come out december. Heck, I think earlier than that due to covid. But again due to the issues surrounding the world they were pushed to jan. Considering the next hyped thing after deathguard was Slaanesh, it's pretty clear they were next. We even haven't seen the whole range properly. Knowing GW slaanesh is most likely the big christmas shebang along with teases to the future.
  16. It's still a badly built book, based around only daemons.
  17. I'm just going to say this bluntly, where would Death fit in the delayed release cycle when the first-pre orders are jan 16th and it's going to be every two weeks? They showed deathguard, which is pretty evident that it's the jan 16th pre-order, they've been building towards Slaanesh. It's part of the advent as well, same with the death teases. Everything has been pushed back. Death is most likely going to be late feb, leading into march, let's not also forget the 40k releases that were also delayed as well. And again, pre-orders are now every two weeks. For Warhammer Age of Sigmar fans, you’ll see the next new battletome (and a bunch of incredible minis) drop in February. Trust us, this one’s a doozy – we’ll even give you a sneak peek on Christmas day!*
  18. Because they have a battletome that is not built around a single hero expensive hero. The current Slaanesh tome is a stop-gap daemon book.
  19. We might still get Slaanesh in January, since releases have been moved to every two weeks. But it's highly likely that the slaanesh release had been pushed to feb. If not, the feb release might be vampires. Edit:Nevermind didn't read the part where the first pre-orders are Jan 16th, in that case, slaanesh has been pushed to feb 6th for it's release and Jan 30th for pre order. If we follow the two week timeline.
  20. Yup, that's why I'm not all that bothered about the vote really. It's pointless until they split it.
  21. Considering the command ability of the Lord Pain I doubt we will get a lot of this in my opinion when the update comes around, considering most of the Slaves to Darkness stuff works around that specific keyword. I expect the slaanesh book to at least give slaves some secondary addons though like the other god tomes.
  22. In my opinion, I hope they are a new race, they're being referenced far too much to be just a one off thing in my opinion.
  23. So, got my hands on direchasm, the rulebook has a few pages of lore, the seraphon warband is predominantly a skink one with a saurus in it. And the orb is literal bomb that will cause the mountain to eat itself, again, references to the silent people who sleep in the amber, the necroquake messed with their sleeping cycle and they are now have awakened early due to it. They're insectoid in terms of appearance.
  24. Wait, what? What leaks have you seen? The models haven't been shown.
  25. Yeah it seems so, I still think they sort of had a plan just in case the pages got leaked, which it did.
