The YouTuber is wrong. Custodes are selected at birth, for their genetic suitability and built from the ground up.
That to me is one of the biggest ironies of the whinging. Half of those complaining of fluff changes don’t even know the fluff they supposedly care so much about.

I agree.  Hearing a woman be applauded in her comments for poo-poo-ing the idea of genetically-enhanced superbabies was very weird to me.

Or maybe Krethusa starts convincing Melusais to join her cause. Never say never.

I shall not say never, after all Covens of Blood has an example of traitors who are both Medusae and Melusai.  And as long as we can flex the list-building to make a force that we can proudly support thematically and in what we field...
Holy moly I LOVE this game!

  2. A Youtuber I followed said "Custodes are chosen from the strongest applicants and women aren't as strong as men".
That's why Sigmar is better.  He picked his Stormcast not for their physical strength but their strength of character.  He could mold the rest into a warrior's body.
Behold Garradan, a healer who defended his patients with candlesticks.  Not a warrior, not an athlete, certainly not a gene-enhanced warrior.
Now behold Gardus Steel Soul, who needs no ****ing introduction.
The Emperor says "only the worthy".
The Hallowed Knights cry "Only the faithful."

  3. I'm interested in the list building 4e is implementing. I might be misunderstanding but it seems similar to that of Conquest, right? Where your Hero choice has an effect on your unit selection? I like that. I mean, Akhelian Kings are reasonably going to be accompanied by other Akhelians. Krethusa isn't going to be chilling with a ball of Melusai.

    or pretend they arenot gone.

Honestly I figured that was going to be the case. Swifthawks still exist in the lore. There was a Dawnbringers short about a Phoenix Guard.

If anything I'm sure it will just be like the Sancrosact Chamber up and leaving the Realms. Aventis Firestrike's gonna either quit being magister of Hammerhal or retire from the field. Bonesplitters will become some... aspect of Greenskin culture that doesn't do any fighting.

Beasts will continue to be irrelevant.

At LVO folks asked GW about BoC and got response that essentially rumors about BoC squat are false.

Well I guess because I talked a lot about the possibility for like, a year that I'm one of the ****** he's talking about.

Rejoice everyone, the Warcom article today is a hoax! Otherwise that guy would be a liar and nah, nah he wouldn't do that, right?

Want to know what @The Red King and the rest of BoC owners think.

What if the new Chorfs, that would be released during the next 3 years, are the ones that have a mix of duardins and something like beasts/ goats/ bulls? Would you like that as a replacement?

We know that all the armies getting refreshes would, in more or less degree, be Aosified. It could be their approach, IMO.

I wouldn't like this. I mean, I'd be happy for everyone who is excited for Chaos Duardin. It's been a long time coming!

I like beasts. I like my color scheme. I like the potential they had in AoS as a narrative force. My beasts weren't meaningless fodder for the human chosen of Chaos and I wouldn't enjoy them so much if they filled the same role in another Chaos army.

Well the Warcry section just gutted a quarter of my slaves to darkness army in one fell swoop! Seriously gw why introduce the Horns of Hashut if you’re just planning on getting rid of them in the next edition?!?!

I'm in the same boat. Most of my Battleline were Untamed Beasts and Iron Golems.

The warhound sad reacted my question. Beasts are being removed from AoS. I wish Games Workshop could go under without costing everyone else their toys because (this word goes against forum rules) that (this word goes against forum rules) company and its (this word goes against forum rules) cohort of incompetent (this word goes against forum rules) suits who don't give a (this word goes against forum rules) about the actual players and fans.

They don't deserve this world. (Warhammer not life).

I don't know that Warhound is in a position to give us that information. I think they just have some access to the 4e Starter, hence the fact they haven't been able to confirm or deny indices.

They still use chariots, even if most beastmen think its a bit too much

Is it morally justified to use advanced technology like chariots, if they are only used for the purpose of toppling civilisation? It's a question Beastmen philosophers have been grappling with for centuries.

Or at least it would be, if Beastmen had any philosophers to speak of.

In the novel Broken Honour, a Beastlord has some of his ungors build chariots to attack the approaching army. Then he kills the ungors because building stuff is gross.

Just became my new fav member!!😅

Music inspires me a great deal, so most factions I love has their own theme song I get into when I work on them.  Something that just clicks when I listen.
    Beasts: In Maidjan, Heilung
    Daughters of Khaine: Villain, K/DA
Sylvaneth: Halloweenie V (The Moss King), Ashnikko
Slaves do Darkness don't have one yet, but I watch the Silent Hill movie while I paint them
And most importantly, for Skaven: ALL of Hellbilly Deluxe by Rob Zombie!

I dont get the hype for the "weird chaos mutant" type beastmen, they got a badass barbarin with horns, the new beastlords and how good Bestigors shows how actually cool that is, heck, most beastmen models that arent centigors or dragon ogors still look atleast okay, and they dont count because centurs look dumb most of the time, only times gw managed to pull that is the forge world chorf character, and centaurion

I like the Morghur side of Beastmen well enough, but I really feel the original vision.  The design was, as I recall, meant to be reminiscent of the "barbarians" the Romans would speak of - unknown and "savage" peoples rushing from the woods to lay waste to the disciplined Roman legions.  Mix that with the folkloric "beast beyond the firelight" vibe and you have my entire attention.

If I was hired to design new Beastmen, I don't know what I would do.  But I know I'd be blasting Heilung into my freaking brain until I did.

I'm as amused by the Doko reacts as the next person, but I feel like calling them out like this is unkind.  I wish you hadn't.

We're just here to bump around like drunk moths looking for the light of each new rumor, my friend.  We all do it different ways.

  15. Something just occurred to me: if the Great Goat Genocide happened, I wonder what would happen to Grashrak's Despoilers.  I don't know if you can even get them anymore off GW's website (I just looked, but I may have missed them).  Hypothetically, would they be removed?  Ported over to StD?  If they were removed from AoS, would they remain in Underworlds?

Sorry I wasn't aiming my post at you, the original post with the "rumour" was several pages back by another user that people were getting excited about because they previously said we'd see Orcs and Goblins and Dwarves for TOW in January (we only saw one of those and they posted after GW announced they were doing a launch event for the game). They've also never posted any specifics and have only posted like 10 times. That said I wouldn't say it's generating discussion. It's generating a lot of hysteria the same as we get whenever someone mentions duardin being souped or bonesplitters being removed from the range swallowing the actual interesting posts about what could happen with BoC in the future.

I apologize - I suppose I'm invested in this topic to the point of self-importance! Very sorry.

The BoC model range is being squatted from AoS and being ported over to ToW. What remains to be seen is if BoC as a faction will remain in AoS under a new thematic identity, be removed entirely or be folded into other existing Chaos factions.

I'd absolutely hate that. I love my goatmen and I love AoS. I'm pretty open-minded about range updates but I guess the current design is just special to me.

Truthfully, I'd love to keep the current Gor (and friends) design in the main, but make them more feral.  These are savage, wild creatures that stalk through the woods with the ease of a man on an open road.

I just realized I just kinda supported your idea, in a way. Haha!
