It wasn't always fun but there was a pride in figuring out how to play around and win with an army that was so far behind the curve.

Aye. There's something nice about hitting a meta army in the liver with and army they didn't expect that warms me cockles. There's something about being an underdog that makes me want to dig my heels in.

I was honestly expecting our article to just be blank.

I've said this before but I was surprised we had an article. "We asked an actual goat..."

I love Beastmen. They hit a thematic point in my heart: the unknown terror of the dark woods. Of the unknown. There is a demoniac imagery in their shape that mirrors the goatmen in Diablo I loved so much. My gamer handle for years has been "Gharbad the Weak".

But sometimes I think beastmen should have remained a chaff unit for Chaos. Better than this goofy half-life of a faction.

Ahhhhh, the good old John Madden approach to BoC.

NGL, I half expected us to be left off the list somehow.

I lost money betting that we were going to be the last faction previewed.

Well not really, but I would have.

Tell me more about these Terrorgeese. I know they are scary up close but are these a new breed of some kind?

If you've got a problem with Terror Gooses you've got a problem with me and I suggest you let that one marinate!

Just noticed the face looks like a giant distended, toad-like mouth, and now I can't unseen. Like this dude's scro.tum neck covers the entirety of his torso. I went from hype to utterly zero.

His horns count as a hat - he has a big hat.  Look at everything else in the game with a big hat, and you know he's not going to be a push over.  The khorne Dragon doesn't have a big hat.  He will beat the khorne dragon.

    Well that's just science!

  7. Here's just a thought, but what if these Kruelboyz are given rules in Broken Realms: Kragnos? If they're being added to the Warclans range it'll be like the new Lumineth models that came out with BR: Teclis. After all, Kragnos goes up for preorder the same day the Dominion box is revealed. I know Dominion is the launch box for 3.0 but it would give us rules. I may be way off, of course, but it's a theory.

I admit, i don't like the idea but judging by the reaction it will be so.
Probably i'm biased against cause seems  a bad idea to me, warclans already have too "much thing" a third faction could diminish the expansion of this new idea.
I'd hope we'll see also something about the three headed icon of the newsletter mail though.

I just realized, they can't be part of Warclans because they aren't Orruks! The name of the tome is "Orruk Warclans"! Ha! Pack it up, GW!

Well, I'm getting used to that the new faction is not a new faction and they are a new subfaction of Orruk Warclans.

Or they just shares keywords and have somer sort of orruk specifical units that could be taken in Big Waagh.
It seems strange starting an edition with something new but fused in an old battletome.

Judging from Whitefang's reactions to your two posts, it seems like our new greenskins ARE in fact a part of Warclans. Not sure how I feel about that personally; I've always felt a bit like Warclans is less a soup tome and more like two separate entrees where you pick one and can include some of the other but why would you because the flavor would be off.

But I'm also an Incredible Dingus.

    "Tired of bland, boring cereal?"

    "Wow, the Celestant-Prime!"

"That's right, kids! And I'm here to tell you about new Sigmar-Os cereal! Sigmar-Os is forged to be part of a balanced breakfast, so you can grow up strong enough to stand tall before the God-King himself!"

    "Wow! Tastes like faith!"

Type female athlete into google and hit search, then go to pics... most of the results look more like female superheroes physically than huge, heavily-muscled women or something that looks less like the comic stereotype.

I don't think we're on the same page here or maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but I don't really want to get the Rumor thread off-track.

I mean why wouldn't Super heroes look like Athletes? They are modern mythology like Hercules and Achilles and in the same vein as the greeks you wanna depict the height of human physical achievement.

Well the issue isn't that the superheroes looked like athletes. The issue is that female superheroes do not.

Totally side note, but I was really interested in a viking-themed game a while ago, but it was being developed by a Korean studio. While all the men looked like hard-bitten viking veterans, all the female (supposedly shield maiden) characters looked like glamour models. I found it utterly jarring.

Female warriors should look tough enough to be able to kill a man a lot bigger than them, and hard enough to not give a ****** about it.

There's an old adage about superheroes in comic book art: the men look like athletes and the women look like super models.  It's an annoying trend that's continued for ages.

What someone found in our community.

I thought the hand with the sword was undead, but it looks very similar to the hand of the rumor engine.

Do they root weapons of another race?

That would be interesting, but I heard a theory that the sword hand belongs to one of Radukar's little attendants.  The one that isn't holding the chalice.
