They could release AoS psychic awakening would be my bet for updating army books without new tomes releases that probably ties them until 2021 for  AoS 3.0

I believe this is what the new Everchosen campaign series will soon become

If the battalion offers no special rules what's the purpose of taking it? You get a command point with a battalion, but at 120points you'd get 2 if you just didn't take the battalion and left those 120 points empty. Bonuses are one of the core reasons you take a battalion and whilst generic might work, there's also a risk that a generic ability could stack really well with some armies over others.

I would argue that lowering the drop count is the primary benefit of a battalion.

I don't remember the exact title because I'm not a huge Stephen King buff, but Red Rose was a pretty awesome series.  It's the one where the House itself is the supernatural entity.

You are really close - the exact title is "Rose Red".  Good miniseries.  Trifle long maybe, but it was really cool regardless.

What about seraphon spells? Any rumours? Would be kinda sad if the masters of magic didnt get any...

Probably expect something like the Cities of Sigmar treatment.

Sure they got zero faction Endless Spells.  But wow, did they get a hell of a compensation for that

    1) We have the same ability with our ships, following almost the same restrictions (apart from more than 1“ from objectives/terrain)

    2) Again, our ships do exactly the same.

    3) LoC on the board is a laughable restriction (see 1))? Just kill that 14 wound unit with a 4+ base save and you cancelled teleportation. Thats basically what our army does without any issue or counterplay at all.

I‘d say its much harder to stop all our ships from using „fly high“, especially because we have many ways of getting wounds back.

And Tzeentch pays a hefty price for that battalion. For ONE teleportation. Even for 2 it was a fair mechanic, just the sheer number of „trolltastic“ rules is what makes Tzeentch so frustrating to face.

Your conclusion is right, Tzeentch got the more powerful rules.

But your way of explaining why has a flawed logic and therefore sounds very „emotional driven“ and hyperbolic. Which I can understand, its upsetting to see the other shooting army get such a treatment.

The main issue is not that Changehost teleport was abusive (it kinda was, but that's beside the point).  The main issue was that Changehost teleport was abusive AND Tzeentch in general is a better shooting army than KO.

Not that KO absolutely has to be the superior shooting army.  It's mostly that comparing the two armies with each other, it's pretty clear where the problem is

Quick warning as I appreciate this is a new book - @Phasteon & @Eevika please stop bickering with each other. This forum is for everybody and we expect member to treat each other with respect. Any further behaviour similar to the last few posts you have added to this forum, will result in Warnings point being issued.

This would perhaps have been better dealt with with a PM.

  7. So normally I am a big fan of Warhammer Weekly, but I am not looking forward to listening to Tom moan and groan nonstop about how bad the KO book is in this week's show (which is ridiculous, but he's welcome to his opinion I guess).  Might have to give it a pass.

How has the book/new rules gone over in everyone here's area?  Is it seen as a success or failure?  After a few games, games, has the opinion changed at all?

People are sleeping on the greatest assassin this game has ever seen.  Endrinmaster Drigible suit.

Command trait:  Grudgebearer: Pick a hero before the first round, and your General deals double damage against them.
Artefact Phosporite Bomblets: once per battle, roll a dice, 2+ inflict a mortal wound and repeated, stop when you roll a 1.

    2 MW on every 2+

Are we sure the damage is not double NORMAL damat or something?

There is substantially less artwork in the new book compared to the old one. I think there are only two new pieces of art in it with the rest being older pieces. There's nothing new skyport related, just some gunhaulers attacking a monster near to some sort of derrick.

Well at least there's a derrick.  That sounds like a cool potential project.

Shame about the artwork though.  I kinda figured as much, but at least I still have the original book too

  10. I'll pick up my preordered stuff later today, but those already in possession of the book, I have a question...

In the new book, is there any more artwork depicting KO settlements or structures?  I have a floating KO city concept in mind for a terrain project, and I am wondering if there is anything I can use for inspiration

And why every faction need same number of armys?

40k have more marines in diferents colours than all xenos armys together and gw dont care.

Meanwhile we dont get new colours stormcast with new name and rules and call it new army im fine with grand aliances having diferent numbers of armys

Patterning the AoS universe/release structure after 40k is NOT what GW should be striving for

    Holy moly the ironclad sounds

slightly disappointed that two battleline if choices are linked to the new hero, but sone options are better than none at all, and at least arkanauts are cheaper as well.

There are plenty of different battle line options not linked to a hero model, don't worry.

If you add up all the "conditional" battle line options, KO have more than Stormcast!

Every other battlebox release last year sold out within an hour. I hardly think it likely GW just over produced this particular battle box out of all the others. The tzeentch side is also very lacking in interesting options but tzeentch far outsells KO.

This post could not be more wrong, on pretty much any level.  Certainly has not been "rejected by the fan base". Quite the opposite in fact.

    Laughable.

    Some other random infos:

    - ships are super expensive (seems that specialized list is mandatory...)

    - kermist loose their boost

    - the new hero is expensive but make the balloon guys battleline (nice and not surprised, as expected)

    ....to be continued...

    Where is this coming from?

Bit of a shame that Beastgrave threw Shadespire's concept under the bus with its own advancement of Warhammer Underworlds: there was so much potential in Shadespire to be covered. Warcry or even Warhammer Quest could have easily had spin off campaigns or kits set in Shadespire for example.

Indeed.  I mean it's possible that Beastgrave will be equally compelling, but it has a really high bar to achieve, after the Shadespire novel

Just realised that new WFB probably eventually means an updated empire militia kit, and now I can't wait for it to be 2023

Not to rain on your parade, but this is wildly unlikely - just like Slaves to Darkness didn't mean an update to Chaos Marauders
