forest Dragon breath

Popisdead

Question

Hi folks,

What happens when you have a forest dragon,  two units of 10 Wildwood Rangers attacking one enemy and one unit of Rangers has gone but the enemy hasn't?  Those are the only combatabts this phase and it is the Wanderer's charge.

Can you make both Wildwood Rangers go before the enemy if the dragon hasn't attacked (soporific breath).

Thanks.

It looks like your combat is:

Player A: Forest Dragon and 2 units of Wildwood Rangers
Player B: 1 unit

No other units are involved in combat anywhere on the battlefield.

The Forest Dragon's "Soporific Breath" ability states that "[e]nemy units within 3" of a Forest Dragon cannot be chosen to make attacks in the combat phase until all other units have made their attacks." Therefore, all of Player A's units get to attack before player B gets to do anything except roll for saves. It actually doesn't even matter whose turn it is.

Well no,... I suppose when I think about that the rule supersedes the issue of one unit of Rangers going before the enemy anyway.

I was just adding that to show one unit of  Rangers would go first, then the enemy would have to still sit and wait until the other rangers and the dragon went.

Thanks :)
