Splitting Attacks in Hinterlands?

As the rules are written, can you split your attacks between multiple models in range in Hinterlands, or can a given model only target one opponent per combat phase?

The Hinterlands ruleset follows AoS core rules, so I think you can split them.

There is a "Rule of Three" that puts a cap on up to 3 models targeted by one of yours in any given phase. This is to stop Waywatchers shooting 6/7 models a turn or the Knight Heraldor blowing up everyone!

So, yes, you can split your attacks, but only up to a max of 3 targets each phase.

Aw phooey, my friends Ogre Tyrant easily kills 3 of my models a turn, I was hoping he'd be stuck killing just one XD. That guys a real threat in a 2000 point game, so at 150 he's an absolute gamebreaker.
