Sylvaneth color for the base

Hey guys,

 

I need ur help, i wanna paint the bases from my sylvaneth army like the bases on the boxes. Did u know what green color they use ?

I think you will find the green you are seeing is a flock or grass, most of the basing colours are usually browns.

Looks like grass to me also.

I'm not sure that is flock. I think it might be sand covered with a thinned down green (maybe death world forest), then drybrushed with something like tyrant skull. If you zoom in on the bases, it doesn't really look like flock.

There are couple of patches of static grass or possibly tufts there.

You can probably recreate the look with some texture paints, like Stirland Mud. Give it a coat of Deathworld Forest and maybe a wash of Athonian Camoshade, followed by a dry brushing of Ushabti Bone. From the box art, you can definitely see some tufts of grass or static grass mixed in. Don't feel you have to match the bases exactly like the box art. Or the models for that matter.
