Dracothjay
Just wondering guys, what are some of our power builds of pure Stormcast eternal lists? Do we use a mixture of extremis chamber and normal Stormcast? Do we see the vex+10 ret combo in competitive lists? Many advice would be fantastic as I want a competitive list to work too as I have a lot painted, but with tournaments coming up I need advice about the most Killy Stormcast builds. thanks. Malakithe
I'm liking the Warrior Brotherhood as the base of a list. I think SS is the most common thou. Probably cuz it's cheaper overall to fill.
Dracothjay
A list I've written is: lord celestant celestant prime knight venator 5 judciators 5 judicators 5 liberators 5 liberators 5 decimators 5 protectors 3 prosecutors with javelins 2 fulminators skyborne slayers formation this list is fast and I will always get first turn. My only drops will be fulminators, prosecutors and knight venator as everything else is in the celestial realm.
Malakithe
Why include prosecutors? Just for speed?
Dracothjay
And extra shooting. Trying to maximise on focus targets as my last game against sylvaneth ( with a very similar list) I took so many of his units down with shooting, including a treeman ancient. Venator one shotted his wizard.
Malakithe
Maybe I won't drop him then lol
Dracothjay
The thing is mate, if the venators one shot arrow fails to hit it wound, he's pretty much useless. It's that gamble mate, spend 120 points on him or I'm thinking of removing him for a heraldor to synergize with my fulminators. Either way, when the venator hits his mark, he KILLS. Malakithe
Hmm true true...well ill leave him out for now. I'm still working on fitting in some hard hitting units in a WB or Hammerstrike
Malakithe
Is it possible to to have a competitive list without a battalion?
Dracothjay
Yes, definitely. However, the lists I've seen are tiny due to certain models taken. LC on stardrake lord castellant knight heraldor 5 judicators 5 judicators 5 judicators 10 liberators 4 fulminators/concussors ( usually fulminators due to the heraldor synergy with retreating and re-charge ability) i suppose 10 libs with a castellant are there to protect the judicators. Malakithe
How does the heraldor work with Fulminators if they move 10" and the slow horn can't keep up?
Malakithe
My current revision Knight-Azyros Lord-Celestant on Dracoth Lord-Relictor Judicators ×5 Judicators ×5 Liberators ×5 Liberators ×5 Liberators ×5 Prosecutors with Stormcall Javelins ×3 Retributors ×5 Decimators ×5 Battalion: Warrior Brotherhood The Retributors, Concussors, and LCoD provide mortal wounds. Only units not in the battalion are the Relictor and Concussors
