I've only played a few Stormcast games (1000 pts with Dominion models) so I'm not sure how solid this can be. The biggest issue I see right now is that I'd want to let the annihilators fall down, but possibly also the longstrikes which is obviously not possible. I haven't decided on artefacts and spells either so I could use some ideas for those as well. Do I have to put the guys that fall down from the sky in the batallion as well to get the one drop deployment rule? I couldn't fit them all in. Lucur Posted September 30, 2021 Share Posted September 30, 2021 Only the units in the battalion get to one-drop deploy, not the entire army. So you'll have make room. What stormhost do you intend to use? Knights Excelsior could fix that problem, with Paladins being BL you can reinforce those units together and place everything in the battle regiment (1×15 Vindictors, 1×3 Annihilators, 1×6 Hammer Annihilators). This would ofc diminish your ability to send several small units to different places, but also increases the Alpha of those hammer annihilators. For artefacts, the gold standard is a Relictor as general with High Priest and considering this list is low on bodies and high on Alpha you want that thunderbolt volley, maybe even unleash thy hatred, too. If you want to protect the Relictor against shooting (dependent on local meta) consider that mirrorshield. That would need a warlord battalion though. This list looks pretty solid, i just fear it runs into similar problems as Gavbombs used to in 2nd. If your deepstrike alpha fails, your entire list fails, as you have no mobility outside scions and the Relictor. And the more opponents face this kind of list, the more they'll be savvy of it and know how to screen from deepstrike. Maybe a squad of Vangurad Hunters (-5 vindictors or even - 3 Annihilators +3 Aetherwings?) can fix that mobility issue, BUT that's theory and needs to be tested on a table. Maybe there's no issue at all and blowing up stuff with Raptors and Annihilators just works ^^ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But then I would have less bodies. The mobility issue is something that I'll have to test. In my few games so far I didn't mind. But it could be better to have something fast as well. I like the suggestion of using the Grand Hammers in 6. It's more of an all eggs in one basket kind of feeling but together with the Longstrikes they should delete almost any scary unit. I picked Unleash Thy Hatred, but how would you play it? The Lord probably wont be around the Annihilators. Is the list below possible? I put the Annihilators and Vindictors in Hunters of the Heartland and the rest of the army in Warlord. But the app tells me that one of the command traits must belong to the Knights Excelsior subfaction. I'm not sure what this means.
