Kronos Posted February 1, 2021 Share Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) It’s been sometime since I’ve dabbled in the arts of Necromancy. I suppose a combination of new beautiful undead and what has to be stunning array of kits to currently draw-from kit-bashes has finally pushed me towards this project. I initially came up with this idea around a few year ago, but other projects were a priority at the time. Last year I got that nagging itch to build W’Soran, the Bloodline father have interested me greatly, especially W’Soran and Ushoran. I’m envisaging W’Soran’s return to the mortal Realms as the Mortach of Flesh-Lord of corpses, dead walkers and all those meat-made horrors of the Undead. In my Design of him, He’ll be borrowing elements of Melkhior and Zacharias as his Returned form is more an amalgsmation of all his previous vessels thrown into one enormous ancient-Vampiric-terror. Theres no base model for him, currently made from 12 kits. His Zombie Dragon however will be made from Skalok the skull host! Kronos Posted February 19, 2021 Author Share Posted February 19, 2021 W’Soran on Zombie Godbeast (very eary stages wip) The biggest project I’ve ever undertaken. Zombifying Skalok into a suitable undead mount. As you may knowbthe initial project was to convert Skalok into Angron. That projects got a pin for teh future should I ever drop that amount on a kit again. But the call to make a W’Soran has been itching for a few years now. Happy I held oit until I had this kit in my grubby paws to let loose on. Still so so much work to do on face alone. I’m basing a lot of the Natomy on Crocodiles, Spinosaurus, and other predatory reptiles as a reference. Hence the addition of the protruding Gastralium. Should be working on making some Gnarly ribs from sprues. I’m also a bit disenchanted with the static standing pose, so I may reposition and cut a lot of the legs to have her perched on rubble and ruins. 3 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The foot Troops are mostly made now, just need to take some photos. An Elite Zombie/flesh Hulk guard called the Flayerkin Immortals. W’Sorans twisted vision pf the Stormcast. Some work, Repositioning Horusvolgur the Carrion Godbeadt, and mount for W’Soran. To rid the World of Gods, to create an eternal World of the Dead. The most extreme of Vampire’s having Long substituted Warp Stone for Blood. In mockery of the God that they once worshipped with utter devotion, Tahoth Patron of Knowledge and Wisdom. These Vile Constructs are unleashed against the enemies of Necrarch Brotherhood. A violent display of Magic, Science and utter Ferocity. . . . A Necarch Abomination, roughly in the form of a sphinx with an Ibis head, he’s gonna have some Warp Lightning cannons for arms (possibly). The inspiration has of course been the Necrosphinx design but the idea of the bird and the book came from Zacharias the Everlivings Familiar, which I’ve been trying to desperately incorporate into the army somehow, the other concepts just didn’t quite sit. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Corpse Weaver Husk. - In shape and origin inspired by the Vampire Coast Leviathan, I wanted something with lots of elga and the Forestbof Shadows being the Necrach’s prime domain I decided ot should be a spider (it was nearly a centipede, “but those come later” -in Bane voice). The concept behind this is the Corpse Weaver a breed of arachnarok specifically bred by Necrarch’s to consume Humans and Corpses, once the apiders exoskeleton begins to bloat and crack under the pressure of hundreds of Corpses they kill it. Easier to control and full pf Zombies. It then becomes the closest thing Vampires are going to get to an armoured carrier. Either way, new Vampires brings new enthusiasm, I’ve done some rework with this and I’ve chabged the Dragon a fair amount, was unhappy with the static posture and proportions.
