Flamers or Burning Chariots? Building Tzeentch Army

I currently have 9 Flamers, and 3 Burning Chariots.  If one had to choose which to bring to a game, which is better?  The extra points for the chariots gives more speed, same wounds, better melee with the screamers in there plus their slash attacks for moving over units, less shots but native rend -1.

I don't have the new Tzeentch tome yet, but does that Conflagration Coven make all shooting better rend, or just non-rending to rend -1?  Rend -2 Burning Chariots is pretty enticing. 

I have also  read that the Coven makes Flamers battleline, but I do have the FateSkimmer to make the Burning Chariots batteline if needed.  Plus I have a Lord of Change in the works, and a bunch of other Horror Heroes (Changeling, Blue Scribes, Fluxmaster, Changecaster)…..can those plus just Flamers make any battalions?  Or do I need those Burning Chariots for the battalions?  I have one Exalted Flamer too
