On kill, Allocating Wounds and you

Drib

Question

How does slain by a specific attack work?

e.g.:

"After attacking with Dorghar's Three Heads, you can pick one of the following effects if at least one model was slain by those attacks[..]." (Archaon's Warscroll)

Scenario:

-Archaon attacks a unit Kurnoth Hunters

-Archaon inflicts 1 wound with Dorghar's Three Heads

-Archaon inflicts 9 wounds with his other attacks

-All attacks finished and wounds added up to a sum of 10, enemy allocates wounds to his unit (Core Rules - "Allocating wounds" p. 7)

Is it possible for the enemy to deny the "killed by those attacks" by claiming the first wound was made with the Three Heads and then allocate the rest?

When will "one model [be] slain by those attacks" trigger?

Damage is applied simultaneously, and the key is in the wording of Dorgar's ability - "these attacks".

Could be argued, but the simple test would be this - if no other attacks were successful, would Dorgar's head attacks have killed a model?

If the answer is no, then the ability definitely won't trigger.

If he caused enough wounds to kill a model on his own (regardless of full/partial wounds) then it would trigger.

Edit: If he caused enough wounds to kill a whole model on full W, then the ability has to trigger.

If he caused enough wounds to kill an already wounded model, it should trigger. If your opponent is being an ****** about it, then you should roll off - damage is applied from an amorphous pool, so your opponent is no more able to say what wounds he's allocating from which attacks than you are.
