Road to Rhode Island

My family does an annual trip to the beaches of Rhode Island (USA, east coast), and for the last 4 years we have been exploring some games at night since theres too many life leeching mosquito's outside to continue our lawn games. I'll be making the pilgrimage (by plane) the first weekend in August, a nice solid 4 weeks away.

Anyway, I've picked up Warhammer quest, and I think they are going to love it. I picked it up when it came out, thinking that I'd have plenty of time to finish painting it before the trip.

Spoiler alert: I didn't.

I'm 4 weeks away and its time to get to business. My siblings and cousins are less likely to enjoy the game with unpainted minis so I have to finish all the models in 30 days. As of writing this, I at least have 1 group done.

I am by no means a great painter, but these minis are so freaking cool that just laying paint on them will do the trick. I'll update this thread with my progress, as I try desperately to get them all complete in conjunction with my overwhelming job. Sorry for terrible pics, but i barely have time to paint, much less set up things for a nice shot!

(ignore the rando dark angel, and the converted soon-to-be zealot to lead my new AOS tzeentch army)

Update status: I've calculated it to 8 models needed to finish per week. 4 goblins and 2 familiars will be easy, sigmarine and Ogroid will be the tough cookies this week. base colors should be done by tomorrow night. Washes and highlights on friday and saturday morning. Next week will be Dwarf, mistweaver, and acolytes.

You can't beat the beaches.

Weekly update. My goal this week was 2 familiars, 4 goblins, sigmarine and 1/2 of Ogroid. I ended up finishing everything besides Ogroid. The model is soo detailed i just couldn't bring myself to do a quick job on it.

In process (wednesday)

Bad news this week though. I'll be going out of town for business for a few days so it will be tough to get the next batch done. Wish me luck!
