So, that means only (sep)tember for AoS? no more news AoS till 2019?

The balista usage is extremly restrictive and doesn't allow a versatility needed for all the scenarii. It is deadly when placed and the oponent is in range. After a charge, no more balista.

Biggest issue imo is the ballista for 100. it should at least go up 40 to 60 points.
No. Just no.

I love the Grave guards. the miniature. Since NH launched, they lost their superb because of the mobility of the reapers. But they still are deadly. I feel that a unit of 10 is pretty much useless: lack of mobility and resistance. I play them by 20 or even 30. One big unit with grand axe. They can pretty much melt everything....and be revived later.

The Spirit Torment allows you to choose between healing a model or if the unit has slain models to return models to the unit. It’s a choice so you can leave an injured model unhealed and try and return models instead.
However, it does read like you have to declare which option you’re choosing before rolling the dice. So no rolling then deciding to heal if the roll is too low to return a model.
Something is still unclear to me: Lets take an example with spirit host with 3 wounds. I declare "return models" option. Roll the D3, roll 2. Can I return a spirit host with 2 PV, meaning he's wounded with one wound? Or do I MANDATORY need (written nowhere) to roll 3 on the D3 to get back a Spirit host at full life?

I've never seen a build at 2K with 3 incantator....and I think nore 2 incantators. Only one incantator in those numerous builds. (secunded by evocators, heros, lord arcanum etc... of course)
-
Wolves are pretty solid ....but now that we have reapers, it is hard to find them a place other than min battleline. I'll try them at 20. They are so cheap
-
and you will loose all Heros scenarii even against a Mickey mouse band !
-
the 2 main problems here are.....
1. to build those 80 skellies (really painfull to build, I did 40 only shame on me)
2. to move 80 skellies on board. soooooooooooooo long that my opponent goes to a nap when I charge.

I see the Bladegheist in several roles in a Death/NH army:
- as stand alone: 5 is not enough with so few wounds. I'd go at least 10 to 20 depending on your battle plan. In a harassment role, 10 is nice 15 more durable and 20 really hammer everything but expensive. at 10/15 it is a really annoying unit for the enemy. It can fly, can't be stuck in a melee (retrat and charge) and relly can do some net damage without buff.
- 15/20 in a Hammer role. Buff them and use them to hit the key enemies while your big blobs of other units or big heros advance (anvil role).
- shroudgar bataillon: I have to think about it. They become durable with a 5++. ATM, I'd go 15+10. I only have 20 for now meaning a third box. (20+10?). Or go full force at 20+20 for main line and build the whole army around it. I'm not sure yet if 10+10 at min investment will be enough. But this is a cheap bataillon and you got artefact and CP...

hope they print less tomes in advance and just replace the files at the printer more often
And I hope that they PRINT ON THEM the version of the tome with the mention "including all rules up to THIS date dd/mm/YYYY"
They could also add few BLANK pages at the end for the owner can add some note/FAQ etc...

I ordered mine with Grandhammer: it seems to be more useful and IMO looks better

Bladegheists
I ordered mines: 2 boxes. That's 20. With that, I can do the bataillon or the units I want. I'd like to see their efficiency as a harassement unit of 10, or a hammer unit of 15 (20 seems overpriced especially with range 1"). I'll see what I can do with the bataillon with 2*10 (I'd prefer 15+10 but I don't have them).

I was reading them recently and they really need an update: no warscrolls of all units, no points lists, thin on add-ons (artefacts, lore etc...)
-
BTW, I noticed that in the France GW Web site, the IronJaws battletome is marked as "definitivement indisponible" which means definitively unavailable. Does it mean that there will be an updated IronJaws/greenskinz/orcs battletome (with possibly some endless spells)?...

I'm hesitating for my next char: tauralon or celestan prime. (I already have pretty much everything except the vanguard line of products)
(I didn't take tauralon already because of price£$/design/not-super-fun-nore-super-efficient)
Advice?

Blade of Symmetry
I can't find the blade of symmetry. Where is it from?

Neave Blacktalon: 120p. I see her as a nice hero ninja sniper. More of this, if you pair her with a pallador unit, you got for 320p some heavy backdoor hitter.
I'm surprised not to see her more often on the battlefield

GG !! BTW, seeing your name with the é, are you French?
-
....and it was probably full of Death, Nurgle, ID, DoK....
-
yes, but....back then, there were nothing else and many found them amazing (I was there )

speaking about solbright, is the kit easy convertible to a normal arcanum on dracoline?
PS: I'll order also the dracoline box if it helps conversion

Dais Arcanum: only wizzards that do not have wounds of 6 or more... That means that the Lord Arcanum (w=6 and LAoGC=7) can't get on the disc. Or did I miss something?
The reason @kozokus said to reread the rule is that it is written in such a way that it is utterly meaningless. It is an "and" conditional, not an "or" conditional, meaning that all three of the stated conditions must be met in order for it to restrict casting. So the only units that can't cast it are ones that have 6 wounds or more and have two or more models and are not already on a disc. No storm cast units meet these criteria, therefore all stormcast wizards can cast it. It's obviously not what is intended, but it is terribly written.
Honnestly, as a non english native language, I read this as a "or" conditioon ....and it should be this way for the sake of the game
But it is also dumb to limit to wound 6. A Lord arcanum on foot should be able to cast it and ride it!
