If you mean that you shoot enemy unit engaged in combat but not with your shooting unit, then yes. If not... then still yes.

Yes to all options. Leadbelchers into a nearby enemy unit in combat.
leadbelchers that themselves are in combat They can only shoot the unit that they are engaged with.

is that specific to leedbelchers or all shooting units can do so? (I'm thinking about skaven, CoS, SCE...)

Oh, I wouldn't give the Hektos the upgrade.  Just model him with the weapon to identify him more clearly.

what do you mean by upgrade?

can the Hekatos be the one with the  best weapon (the upgrade?) ?

It does on the 14th of December. Basically the most likely last slot for any major release of the year. So it could well be that they get a two week release and there's more stuff after in January. Though I'd say the warbands alone already gives them a great launch - esp since right now Slaves are not all that popular and are pretty much, of the major game armies, bottom of the barrel.

Bottom of the barrel yes, only because of the lack of battletome since AoS release.

TBH, with the new battletome plus such a range of nice miniatures (well, yes the warriors are old but I like them) plus the varanguard plus the most expensive kit of GW with Archaon plus the potential of all chaos alignment/marks plus probably ally/mix with so many chaos miniatures/armies, they  simply CAN'T remain in the bottom of the meta anymore. If the soup is "à la city of sigmar", I think we'll have a great tome and a nice army.

Add to this all the things that they can do with the new warcry bands and you have a (potential) superb release. New SC! and new minis are just a bonus.

Let me play honorably StD, GW!!!

  4. This party doesn't give justice to those army. OBR have several mechanisms that make them resilient: +X save ,rerolls etc... and the revive/health. Same for the Offensive part. Add to this that this party was strategically a bit dumb on the OBR side.

The ogor side is more "ready out of the box" than the OBR.

The battle of GW yesterday on their twitch channel was closer to the full potential of the OBR army, especially facing a top tier army Slanesh with several keepers of secrets...

In addition, I believe there will be at least one more new model (kind of) for std after new knights

What ? New knights? Where does it come from? You mean new knights as in "knights that replace the one that we love in SC! boxes and iconic knights"? Or reboxing packaging varanguards and call them new knights?

    Please, tell us more!

Been toying with a very aggressive monster-y list, to balance my main army (shooty dwarves). What do you guys think?

    Legion: Praetorian or Petrix (TBD)

Does this look playable / fun to you?

On the plus side this is also relatively few models to paint.

The list will lack of dicipline points I think. I'd be safier to get another support hero. And for my personal taste, I'd add a fast harasment unit to grab objectives or help where needed (ex: add a rider unit in place of a guard unit). Just my 2c.

  7. I'm waiting the end of the week to see if I am delivered of the ordered feast of bones. Then, I'll complete the ogors with SC!.

According to what we know and your experience, how many big kits (stonehorn/thunderstuck with all head magnetized) do we need to be ok to play almost all buids? 2, 3 or 4? My guess is 3 but I don't know this army.

Magnetizing riders wasn’t that big of a problem, even for a beginner like me.  If you put two saddles on, and buy a third optional rider from bitzstores, you have all three options.

I am somewhat doubtful as to magnetizing the heads of the beasts, though. It makes the whole sculpt a lot more fragile .

So, you mean that with 2 or more kits, you are ready to get everything you need?

  9. A new SC! (but I doubt there is new minis in it), a new battletome (hopefully with everchoosen in it ) , new endless spells and...that's it. That is what the leaks gave us few days ago.

Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger. I know, this is kind of bad news. I, as most of you - most of us -, expected a bit of novelty, some new units or o new general, preferably mounted on a monster (dragon? vyvern? whatever). I expected also a ranged unit like a big canon. But now, I am realistic: we have a tome, at last. ES is a nice bonus. A SC! , dunno if I need it. I already have 2 battleforces and a previous SC. (plus many chaos things like daemons princes etc...)

Now, my next target: archaon and the varanguards: too bad those fantastic riders are so expensive.
