  1. Well, they have 1 attack vs the 2 of the Kurnoths.
    Shorter range but they are faster than kurnoths.
    Less wounds, but again faster. 
    Can deal d3 mortal wounds where as kurnoths can deal a mortal wound per base in melee. 
    Kurnoths can reroll all failed saved if they activate their ability. 

    20 points a difference. I don't think they are OP.

    James Hewitt confirmed to me at the recent Warhammer World Open Day that the Human and Orc teams will be getting individual teams boxes (same sprues as boxed game) soon, so I expect to see plenty of Ardboys as per the above!

    Ye, I think I saw this somewhere else as well. The are much better fit with the brutes than the existing ardboys. Excited now!

    Ye, Amazon owns twitch, so either way, you would be supporting them. If anything, at least using the prime method you get to support TGA. 

    While tax avoidance is frowned upon, it's best to not even mention it in a place like this. It isn't illegal and almost everyone has taken part in it in some way. Guess we should stop paying into pensions or taking advantage of tax free ISA accounts. 

    Stream last night was awesome and I encourage everyone who hasnt seen it yet to check it out.  

    Will be watching today based on what I have seen so far. Had high expectations and wasn't disappointed. 

  5. Just caught up on the thread. Loving the reports and keep going back to look at your gore gruntas for inspiration. I have a 37 model Ironjawz army, similar to yours and currently only 13 models are painted to a table top standard. I only got back into the hobby in the summer having not painted a model since I was a wee guy. 

    This is my 13th model. Still learning techniques and haven't finished highlighting. Still got a ways to go, bit felt it was only fair to post it here given that I have got most of my inspiration from the thread.

    I think they should address certain buffs. Specifically buffs that give +1 to hit. Currently units that deal mortal wounds on a roll of 6 can be given these buffs and deal mortal wounds on a 5 or 6.

    I believe the +1 to hit should affect only the to hit. ie if they hit on a 4+ now they hit on a 3+ and maintain the 6 for mortal wounds. This is already a powerful ability to buff it further by increasing its chances of happening to 33% is insane.

    I mention this after having had my entire 10 man unit of Ard Boys deleted by rétributions or judicature (the ones with the Hammers) causing 2 mortal wounds per 5 or 6 to hit. Maybe thst is just sour grapes on my part but it seemed insanely powerful.

    I disagree. I think it is intended that they buff the abilities you mention. It says in the retributer rules, "hits of 6 or more" for a reason.

    At this point, silence says as much as any amount of words when it comes to your conversions and painting lol. Yet to see anything that isn't awesome. 

    I got a 2000 point game in yesterday against nurgle demons with some rot bringers. Stole you deployment from the battle report you had on twitter and won 14 - 9. List was the same except I had the shaman instead of the ardnob 

    No idea how much that video has changed my game play. 

    Feel that i want to drop the gruntas for 10 more ardboys and would only consider the extra 10 brutes and dropping the cabbage in a dual list tournament because the model is just fantastic and fun. And brings the mortal wounds. Looking forward to seeing what you achieve with it though.

  8. Ye, I was keeping an eye on the ironjawz/destruction armies at the tournament and watched what I could on twitch. I was working on the Saturday and they don't seem to have posted the recordings like GW did for their tournament so I missed the majority of it. 

    Managed my first minor victory vs the sylvaneth army I have played a bunch. It was only a 1500 point game and he didn't have his Alarielle and Druthu combo but after getting smashed by him so many times I was well stoked. 

    I also played a game vs Ironjawz as well which was hilarious. He had Gordrakk so it was like a power struggle between him and my Megaboss. Managed to kill 2 ardboys with crushing bulk wiping them out, then charged into his Gordrakk to kill him with crushing bulk, then charged into his warchanter almost killing him with it... 

    Looking at this for my list :

    Ardnob Prince Albert / Wierdnob Duncan (Managed to get 2 foot of gorks off while next to arcane scenery and 20 models nearby in one game. Thoughts??)

  9. Thanks for that. Never thought about stacking the +1s. What about dropping ravager for the +1 to hit command trait? 

    Another thing I am curious about is how you find your megaboss on foot. Not sure if it is just me but I can't get him in to a fight easy. Find he is so slow behind the rest of my force and gets shot at a lot. 

    Also, going to steal your basing idea big time.  What colours did you use? Lol
