Ironjawz can make pigs fly. Neferata can make dire wolves fly. I don't see much of an issue with flying sharks and seahorses (sharknado anyone?) It's like Pokemon where your gyrados magically floats and your charizard fights magikarp while diving at the bottom of the ocean. Just go with it!
