    Hmm yeah I think you might be onto something there :)

    This would give the first fang a decent ranged throw of the spear , move 5” now and then throw 8” with 3 dice. ,13” range. Then another two shots if that was your first action.

    Ive only used my untamed Beasts in one game, but I was really impressed with the first fang harpoon , just being able to catch those fast models with a harpoon hit.

    The beast speaker might be good , but she died too early to tell.

  3. I was playing my first convergence for the Unmade campaign Path of the flayed Prince. (3 times and failed)
    How do you read this scenario , if my opponent can stack the shield and all they have to do is run away for 3 turns.
    This Victory combined with this deployment means if I'm attacking they know I have to choose their shield as it's the only battle group on the table.
     
    Does that sound right ?
     
    I tried three times but if they take thrall Fury in their warband , I cant catch them , especially if they have a quad for extra moves etc.

    We are still experimenting with different things.

    After action report is a good idea , I don't know why we dont record more of that , we always sit and talk about what happened for a bit after the game. So it will be easy to add that at the end.

    Yeah Only because of the models.

    I might convert some to flails.

    @Sleboda it's not an ability to rely on, but it can definitely be extremely useful and if you use it most turns once or twice like me it'll inevitably end up helping. 

    Yeah I meant 8 :)

    11 guys in my warband , I have 6 with “brutal” pole arms and 2 flails.

     

     

  7. So any thoughts on the Ascended One ?

    I really want to include them as I like the model , but 125 points for one vs  120 for two Awakened Ones?

    I will be experimenting with them in my Warband but I’m interested to see if there is a tactic with them that I’m not seeing ?

    Their fix will be some flippant remark followed by "ignore these rules" , we have your money.

    It's not good enough , and happens repeatedly.

  9. Rating the Spells , my top 5.

    Just for fun here is my list of the best spells , bear in mind I have a grand total of 3 games with my Gitz , so I have no idea what I’m talking about.

     

    1) Hand of Gork

    Just the threat of this spell will have your enemy in knots , just in case you drop some Grots behind them etc , without this spell Gitz have no back field threats.

     

    2) Sneaky Distraction (spiderfang)

    That extra -1 to hit can frustrate even the nastiest enemy units. The weakness is the wholly within 12” , which your enemy can counter it if they keep an eye on things.

     

    3) Great Green Spite

    Great range and can nuke enemy wizards.

     

    4) Itchy Nuisance

    Not sure about how useful this is , but if you have some squishy squish or something you want to leave until later in the combat phase , can be handy ?

     

    5) Venomous Spiderlings (spiderfang)

    A horde killer , good range because you just have to get within 12” , hand of gork can help here.

     

    Honourable mention

    Gift of the Spider God

    Good for keeping your Big spiders alive.

     

    Squig Lure if Squig heavy ?

     

    Some of the other spiderfang spells look good if you run loads of spiders.

     

    Anyway , what do you think , anything I’ve missed ?
