On the plus side - the new FreeGuild heavy cavalry looks good although they seem to have made a mistake at the top of the lance.

I'm not into 40k, but damn they look great (minus the head).

Makes me want to see some knights/cavalry for the Dawnbringer Crusade

According to the Sunday preview we're getting Old World news this week. So today must be the day! 😃

The original Old World announcement was nearly 3 years ago in November 2019 where they said it would likely be at least 3 years in the making. That's back before the pandemic so really interested to see how much news there actually is yet?

This is the original announcement: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/11/15/old-world-new-warhammer/

Can't wait for some new MAP reveal ...

On the other hand, i'm hoping for some Total War Warhammer announcement as well, maybe artwork of the Chaos Dwarves redesign

Cursed city miniatures as "miniature of the month" !

You can have a Vargskyr for free ??! ( or rats from the old dude)

Nah you'll get a rat or a zombie, maybe a skeleton warrior if you are very lucky.

The store owner friend on the other hand will get a Vargskyr or Radukar

  4. I think Warcry is the best skimirsh sized game and with the last Tome of Champions it does provide a better campaign experience than Mordheim.

I'm currently in a mordheim campaign, and this game is frustrating, the snowball effect is real. Mordheim is an amazing setting with bad rules. Just play Warcry if your like the AoS setting. Sor-Koroth the silent city is a cool place to have warbands hanging out and fight others for loots and territory.

But Frostgrave does magic better, i you want to play wizard in the AoS setting and with skirmish scale, yeah Frostgrave is pretty good. I think it needs a bit of adaptation to integrate the Endless Spells. We have tons of good miniatures for the spells, if someone can come up with an AoS version of Frostgrave it would be pretty cool.

Rangers of Shadowdeep is a good solo experience, and with this damn pandemic, it does provide a satisfying boardgame / rpg feel. I would really enjoy a Rangers of Shadowdeep campaign in the Sigmar setting.

Never tried Oathmark, kingdom building sounds pretty cool tho.

Just bring back Vlad Von Carstein and call it a day.

I think Vampires are an opportunity to bring back famous characters.

They are immortals after all, some will call it fan-service, but that's the whole point imo.

Also it's the perfect opportunity to give Abhorrash a miniature

I doubt the River Temple Lumineth will have any actual fish/ocean imagery associated with them - based on what we've seen so far, my top guess would be an anthropomorphic otter or something (since the other avatars are all mammals), or maybe a heron or crane (which would fit in well with the East Asian/Buddhist/Taoist flavorings of the Lumineth).

I would be fine with crane, well with anything really as long as it's not fish.

Hitting someone with trout is our privilege

  7. I'm afraid the River temple of the Lumineth will encrouach on the Idoneth Fantasy.

We are the Water Aelves after all, the ocean is too small for two Water themed aelves factions.

I cast a dark glance at the darklelfs corsairs and Kharybdiss.

At least let us takes the Water aelementari as allies thank you GW

This makes sense. If Teclis has a March release date then perhaps Alarielle will have a June/July date with 3.0 coming August or September?

Well i really don't think Third éditions is 2021 because of the Nurgle Plague but yes that would be my prediction if BR is only 3 books.

I thought it was 5 Books, but why 5 ? Where does that came from ?

  9. I think the 4 guys represented in the map pictures are the 4 overlords of UIfenkarn, but before they were cursed / undead.

We already have the gravedigger, we'll see the model of the skeleton with the halleberd and the eyepatch, and i'm thinking the gut in red armor is now a vampire, and the old man with his cat is probably gonna be a lich. The last one is the Wolf himself, we think it's a vampire but the name is a given, he's actually a werewolves.

Historically werewolves were a chaos unit, but it's AoS now and it's a boxed games. It's a halloween themed game :D

  10. I think she's a strong independant woman and not a stormcast.

Because stormcast have a very different style of armor, or she's a stormcast but it's not a sigmarite armor ?!

Anyway i'm more excited about the priestess on the left, she seems very badass and remind me of the firekeeper character in dark souls 3  (or the sword maiden in Goblin Slayer)

Well just because we don't see her eyes, and somewhat she looks badass. Also interested by the Wonderer archer who reminds me of Kerrilian in Vermintide. Or maybe she's a kurnothi, i don't see the hooves yet on this picture. Well, we'll see i guess

My question is what will Legions of Nagash loose in the transition? I like seeing ghosts in the range and morghasts. Hopefully if they are not part of the army proper they can still be used as allies.

Like you said, Ghosts and Morhasts are certainly gone

    Same with Nagash and Arkhan

I'm predicting some old kits going away like the corpse cart and the old wolves, they are plastic kit but it's so bad and don't fit the new clean esthetic of theses vampire models who have been revealed.

Oh I also think necromancer and the base skeletons are gone too and the new zombies will be the horde infantry type. And only Grave guard stays.  (because Gravelords need Graveguards right ? :D). I can also be wrong and the zombies are more elite beefy one like the Draugr we saw in the teaser
