Thank the lord I already have 20 hoppers. My god that is a ridiculous price for 5 models...

    Same as DoK Khinerai.

The internet needs to stop complaining about prices and find a new hobby if this game is too expensive. These will be the same cost as DoK and the general trend for GW new model releases. GW gives you options thou... You can get a BoC army for cheap by ebaying all the old models... I suspect Gutbusters will get the BoC treatment with only new spells and a tome. That will be a good army to reuse your old models.

Gloomspite are clearly not just a repackaging but rather a brand new army with new prices.

That Sounds great, im new to Bonesplitterz and im exited haha.  Which commandtraits do i use to „double their damage“ ? Is it possible to fit this in a 1000 point army? Me and some friends are at round about 1000 points. Just for learning the rules etc :)

You would need to combo in buffs to reach double damage (such as +1 to hit spell and reroll 1 spell) but the big bosses CA is a good way to increase the damage of a unit. He allows you to generate an extra attack whenever you roll a 6 to hit (5 or 6 if you have +1 to hit). This CA is stackable so you can generate 2 or 3 extra attacks per 5 or 6.

i think they are actually the top destruction army with Goblin spam.

I agree that BS and Mixed are top Destro. Of BS I think Kopp and Krukk are best. I just dont think Destro in general are top meta and worth chasing the top armies. It takes a lot of work and practice to paint up a list and play it.

I'm in the camp of if your playing destro and haven't switched for a power list in the other GAs then play what you like and have fun till the next shake up.

Assuming Battletome Moonclan isn't out by LVO I'll be playing Krukk, Mixed Destro, or Ironfist. I think you can win all but 1 or 2 games with a solid destro list and a good draw.

Who am I kidding, after typing that I know I wont play IJ 😜

    Hey,

what do you guys think about the Rogue Idol? Is it worth to take? The model is awesome. +1 to cast/bravery is not that bad, isnt it?

I don't think Bonesplitterz as a whole are a top meta army. They are solid and you can win but sometimes you'll simply be out classed by the newer tomes.... since that's the case I highly recommend taking the models you like and if you own a Rogue Idol go for it! But I don't recommend going and buying one if your looking for a power list (save your money till we get a new tome).

You could also just go for more CPs and a guaranteed Triumph :D

It is not a bad thought... each CP gets you 7.5 wounds per 90 shots with a unit of 30 arrowz with +1 to hit. The CA is stackable and you would get even more punch with rerolls and triumph.

Some times a T1 alpha strike can win the game and since your 1 drop with bonegrinz you get to decide if you wanna go for it.

The extra wizards are nice for the wizard capture missions and realm spells... but they often do nothing.

@svnvaldez you're severely gimping your weirdnob by giving him brutal beast spirits, which blocks him from casting his spell to reroll hits.

If my opponent has dispellers with high pluses (such as death) I would typically have both the Weirdnobs out of 30 inches (back board edged) and cast +1 to hit and either hand to move them up into shooting range or the reroll to hits... you can assume the Wardokks will be dispelled as they will be up front the way I play.

If I can get all the spells off I would have the Hand come from the doubled up Wardokk, +1 and rerolls from the Weirdnobs.

I typically assume I will only be getting the Weirdnobs spells off.

My main suggestion would be to switch the wizards for 2x Maniak Weirdnobs.  The rerolls on the casts are priceless, especially since you can roll on the backline out of unbind range.  I failed my first Hand of Gork, then rerolled it to a success (on a double, no less!) and that reroll literally won me the game.  You are sacrificing 1 cast but in terms of executing what you are trying to do, I think the rerolls are essential.

My list was the same as yours (with the wizard switch).  Spells are obvious.  I took the anti-shooting artefact on the Savage Big Boss (thanks to @svnvaldez for that one) and the 36" +1 to unbind artefact too.  I'm open to suggestions on the third artefact, but took the Wurggog Mask.  4+ Mortal Wound save Command Trait.

Any thoughts on Bonegrinz chaps? Might be a bit much for a 2k but any feedback on what I have so far or how to finish this list would be immense. Cheers.

  8. I don’t believe the fanatic counts as an additional drop as well. One of the units abilities is “A Fanatic unit consisting of 1 model lurks with Zagbag Gitz”.

I’m not sure how many units this counts for allies... my guess is 2 since there are 2 units on the pitched battle profile (Zagbag and the Gitz, then the fanatic is a type of summoning through the ability since you don’t pay points for him?

Also I’m not sure if this has always been the case but in AOS2 it’s clear a charge roll is a move. So if you roll a double for the charge I believe the fanatic would take a wound and die before charge blocking. But you can spend a CP to reroll so he should only fail to block 1/36 times.

I see a lot of people talk about the fungoid Cave Shaman but I was curious about people's opinion on the Moonclan Grot Shaman.

A +2 to casting a turn (so long as you don't roll a 1..) and a pretty decent core spell at 80 points seems a pretty good alternative to a 120 point weirdknob.

Alot of my lists have a Cave Shaman or a Moonclan Grot Shaman. If you have 80 points to spare, I think Zagbag gits are a nice swap. You are paying 80 points for a fanatic and net if you re-frame the 160 point cost as a Shaman swap and 80 point price tag. You can run the 7 models up front of your lines as a throw away unit that you can use for -1 hit net and charge block.

FYI for the above list: Frost Sabres are battleline because the Icebrow Hunter is the General. These guys also go into the Skal battalion, amounting to 5 drops in total for the army. Is this list a way to use kitty cats not 'just for fun', but also a more competitive list?

I think it would perform well for a full BCR list. Since you already have 3 battleline I don't know what roll the Beastriders battleline will fill for you. Maybe swap the 320 that he costs and 40 points in cats and take a third huskard on TT. But try it out... I think you'll enjoy it as long as you accept the difficulties of full BCR lists.

  11. If I owned 36 metal Frost Sabres I would love to try this list out and fill the final 150 points with something. I love BCR but I don't love finecast and don't really want to buy all the fenrisian wolves to make it work.

Maybe it is a local thing, but it is not like I can play with a different set of rules.

That is too bad. It really irks me when local rules arbitrarily modify the game. Sure it will be more fun for some, but it will be less fun for others and who has the right to decide (only GW imo)? For a warscroll to be matched play legal it needs 2 things.

    1) have a pitched battle profile.

    2) be the most current warscroll.

This is a great article to read and I feel like all small events should post the picture at the end let players know which rules they are using from the subset GW provides (and not their own home brewed ones) https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/08/01/1st-aug-pitched-battles-in-the-mortal-realmsgw-homepage-post-2/

Is 4 Huskards on Thundertusks still considered a no-no? Or did they get nerfed enough to be reasonable to bring.

Powerwise they are more than reasonable, not even close to filth.

Only issue is the play experience is very negative for the opponent if you are winning. Your just blasting them from range. Tons of stuff will beat it and I wouldn’t mind one bit playing it. Others might be bothered but I think those are the same people that would complain about a lot of stuff in the game.

Without vanguard wing and old tzeentch in the current meta I think we can perform a lot better. Hordes of 4-5+ save models are fairly common and a kunin can deal with those fairly well.

Completely agree! Gratz on the win.

    @svnvaldez i'm curious about the 2 fungoid?

-2 to hit from shooting and is it 3? missions of the 18 the give bonuses/required to capture for wizards or heroes with artifacts of power. Also gives me a hero within 6in to use IP for when the FLs are off fighting,  2 unbinds/dispells,  2 additional rolls at rampaging destroyer, and are cheap.

I'm of the opinion that if you are rolling 1 of the 18 missions your list must have 3 scorers for when you roll arcane power. That can be any way you see fit but when playing mixed destro we don't really have access to reasonable battalions to get the extra artifact or a beefy monster wizard (other than troll hag and Arock).
