There's was mention of Skirmish for White Dwarf, but not details about what it is. It could easily be an article that says "Hey guys, skirmish is still a thing".
I really hope its announcing a new rulebook and boxes, ala Killteam. But it feels more likely that it'll be a rules update/scenario set in White Dwarf. Still cool to be getting something though!

That would be the Underworlds faction.
Have there been models released? I can only find the promo art, but work internet blocks a ton of game related stuff so I might just be missing it.

Dumb question, where are these new Darkoath models that you're talking about?
-
I was literally going to go buy this after work today, but thanks to this thread I think I'll hold off and see what GW's response is, since it seems to not be isolated.

Friends and I took a 5 hour drive to New York for an Age of Sigmar/40k Tournament.
Painty Men took the wheel.
And when you saw one set of tire treads, that was when they carried you.

That table looks amazing.

@Praecautus How did you get that green skin tone? I was thinking of doing my Idoneth in a similar fashion since I don't really like the pale skin that GW does for most of them.
Also, its clearly Zzaalbo, everyone.

This is now my number one AoS podcast.
It's also my number one comedy podcast.

Some quick math on druchii.net says they're about even in a full unit, with empower the extra attacks from the blades pull ahead a bit. Personally I would favor more attacks and the look of the swords, but the maces are always going to be easier to find because of the starter set. It's a shame the Redemption Cache doesn't seem very useful though.
The Cache is pretty neat when you know what you're going up against, but where I play is 90% Order armies so I'd rarely take it. Too bad because I love the build of that model.
I like the aesthetic of the swords more anyway (and my first unit is all maces) so swords it is!

About to build my second box of Sequitors for my list built around Solbright and the Cleansins Phalanx. Swords or maces? I feel like, with all the rerolls I'm getting to hit and wounds, the extra sword attack might be more helpful, but Im curious what everyone else is building.

Yup! turned your blightkings into space marines! +1 save across the board..... And when they went from GHB16 to GHB17 my army dropped in points by exactly his amount. What a time to be alive.
I suppose if you were building a summoning army he would fit right in. Maybe a Tallyband as well you would be generating lots of contagion points if you added in maybe lord of plagues, horticulous, and/or used the "living plague" command trait!
I've thought about building a summoning list for Nurgle just to see how it works. It isn't our main strength but drones are great objective grabbers, and a free GUO isn't shabby either.

If Epidemius still gave out +1 save at 21 kills...he would be worth every point. When they changed to contagion point...he was suddenly worthless.
He used to do that? Dang, I missed the boat on that one.
-
Has anyone run Epidemius? I've go the model unpainted and wonder about his value. Its pretty easy to take out 14 models with all of our 1D3 spells and mortal wounds aimed at hordes, which gives every friendly Nurgle unit rerolling hits and wounds of 1, but on the flip side he's 200 points and once he's dead, the buffs drop.

Sigh... Nurgle? Really?
Not everything that has bugs is Nurgle. This is obviously a model showing grub harvesting for feeding Squigs and another grot teaser. I am continually amazed at the huge leaps of logic you guys go through to make ridiculous guesses when the answer is simply staring you in the face.

It's not for the upcoming Rogue Trader set from GW? Doesn't that have a Nurgle infected mutants as one half of the set?
Oh I didn't mean Papa Nurgle proper, just that it's probably something to do with him.

I mean, is there anything it could be BESIDES Papa Nurgle?

If anything, I'm glad that it wasn't just us who were confused. I'll probably check with the TO before submitting the list that includes Foulrain, but it sounds like my crapapults are back in!

As far as I know, Warscroll Batallions from other Battletomes can be used legally BUT the Batallion itself and all the units in it count as allies, so the answer is basically no in a 2k.
So Pestilen's are legal in a Nurgle army without being allies (because they have the Nurgle keyword), but when they become part of a battalion they have to count as allies?
No wonder my group was confused. ?♂️
-
Could someone clarify if running Foulrain Congregation (Skaven Pestilin's battalion) is legal in a Nurgle aligned army? Or would I have to bump it up to general Chaos allegiance in order to have it in there?
-
Has anyone had any experience with the Lord-Exorcist? I love the model so I'm pretty much painting it for that reason alone, but it seems like a pretty situational unit for 140pts.

As both a somewhat-occasionally-working comedian and a lover of AoS, this podcast is my new favorite. Looking forward to someone converting the Stormcast endless spell into a buttnado.
