You can't win.
Box sells out immediately, GW suck and are forcing scarcity to encourage sales.
Box avaliable over pre-order, army is dead on arrival.
Don't forget 'the army is unbalanced and will destroy the game' and you've hit the GW Internet Pre-Release Trifecta.

Which model is the prettiest? Which should probably stay on the sprue? Find out in this episode!
As always, thanks for subscribing!

In this psychedelic episode, the gang is joined by special guest Kai! He’s here to talk about how cool the Gloomspite Gitz really are, and how to get started collecting this bizarre army.

In this inexplicable episode, the gang talks about all the Lumineth Realm-Lords and Sons of Behemat news we’ve missed! Then, after the break, they challenge themselves to build as many lists as possible from $1,200. Spoiler alert: the max score was 3.
If you’re hunting for the lists, click here!

In this exciting episode, the gang figure out how to record a podcast remotely, with varying results. Once we finish talking about Final Fantasy and vacuum cleaners, it’s time for some Seraphon!
The first part of this show has some strange audio-hiccups due to us all learning how to do this remotely.
If you’re wanting to jump straight to Dino DNA, jump to the 32 minute mark and go from there!

This episode, we’re talking Chaos! Each Chaotic Faction, poorly broken down and misinterpreted, all for you! There’s a bonus audio treat at the very end if you make it that far.
A huge thanks to our sponsors and fans for letting us continue this thing when it arguably should have been put out of its mercy seven episodes ago.

We actually played a tournament! Plus, we talk about the Grand Alliance of Destruction, and Josh throws up in his mouth. Award winning entertainment!
A huge thanks to our sponsors and fans for letting us continue this thing.

Mechanically, it allows for game rules to interact with more facets of the game. Therefore allowing for different types of modifications, which gives the rules writers more options when developing stats.
Honestly though it does mean less reliance on your opponent. Any combat attack usually results in you telling them how many saves to roll with a modifier. I think the 'strength' of the attack is represented more in the Rend.

I think it's likely that Katakros will succeed in taking control of the Shysh realm gate, thereby denying Archaon access to his realm. Of course neither will 'die' (one is way too story important and the other, uh, is already dead technically) but neither will really win either.
Is Katakros bringing ONLY Ossiarch? Seems like if I were Nagash and I really wanted this to work, I'd give him about a billion skeletons too.

Do you like fantasy, but wish it had more rocket launchers, spaceships, and paperwork? It’s time for our Kharadron Overlords battletome review!
We also sneak in some talk about LVO at the beginning of this one, and all the reveals there. Specifically pointy aelves that praise the sun.

@Gaz Taylor would be happy to sort this out for you.
Once you have 10 episodes give us a shout and we will get you added.
Thanks,
Thank you! Wasn't sure what the requirements are but we'll keep that in mind for when we get there!

I wouldn't want need armies to be categorically better than old ones, because every soup book has brought a handful of people back to my local store to try out their old armies, and most of them have stayed active and started picking up other armies as well. From a sales perspective, that's exactly what GW wants, plus it adds more players to the community.

Does anyone know the reason Slambo wasn't included in this book? He's still legal since he has the StD keyword, but it seems like a weird one to leave out. He's Slambo!

Also we lost Exalted Charioteers as you now need to run 2 chariots as a unit to upgrade 1 to Exalted.
Seeing that they had to do the same fix with the Scourgerunner Chariot I'm surprised they didn't catch that before it went to print.

Hello! I'd like to register a new podcast! I apologize if this isn't the right place to do so.

No one has stopped us, so we’re still going! This week we talk about StDs and how to use them against your friends!
This is our review episode for the new Slaves to Darkness battletome! It’s our first time getting into a book on-air, so please let us know what you want more or less of.
We gab on (ok mostly Zack does) about lore and whatnot until about 0:58, so skip ahead if you’re just in it for the numbers!

We’re back again making wild predictions for 2020! And two of them already came true! You’ll have to listen to find out which ones (hint: it isn’t the giant bug army…yet.)
Note – This episode was recorded in December 2019, so a few predictions are already proven false and/or correct. Whoops. Time travel is hard.

The gang gets together to talk about what they liked and didn’t like in 2019! Bonecast Immortals! The Activation Wars! A Dorf!
Note – We’re aware of some strange audio drift in a few places in the first two episodes. We’ve fixed the problem now!

I played the Archai lately and i find them pretty strong. Very mobile and good output/ defense. They can destroy a weak flank on their own by turn 2. Even their pointscosts are absolutely justified, cant understand why people would say otherwise.
I personally switched to Immoris though for better hero protection. For me Stalkers are the most bland out of the 3, because all they do is done by everything else in the army, just less efficient but with more versatility.
So full disclosure, bringing 4 Morghast Archai was more necessity than anything as I already had two built. The biggest thing with them in Petrifix is to remember the command ability that increases their rend by 1. Out of my whole list, they were the absolute best damage dealers; combined with the Shrieker, the unit threw out 20 attacks at 2/3/-2/3, which was a fantastic blender. However they go down pretty fast as they don't have any defense against regular wounds besides their save and Deathless Warriors save, as their armor only effects mortal wounds. I think one big group of 4 is overkill, a pack of 2 can still threaten a lot of the board with their movement and attacks.
Plus the models get tangled on EVERY SINGLE THING ON THE TABLE

Glad you had a good time! And yeah, I could see how your list slightly handicapped you with the lack of available models
Oh yeah, I felt the lack of options a lot, but honestly the generic Mortek Guard are SO good they can act as anvil and hammer at once with only a few buffs.
I'm looking at that Harvester/Arkhan/Crematorian list though and I think I'll work towards that, just to have a silly way to run them in more casual games.
-
If anyone is interested I took Ossiarch to a 5 game tournament last week. I had a week to get the list fully painted and based, so it's by no means optimized, but it was a lot of fun even if I did walk away 1/4.

It would be cool if each one was more of a Warband starter kit. Include the models and cards, plus some tokens, maybe a folding ruler, custom-color dice themed to the Warband, a dice holder/tracker, and a little notebook with pre-made forms for keeping track of their battles. It would make it really easy for new players to jump in and play on any sort of board or terrain they might already have.

Look I think we can all agree that Slaves to Darkness are doing just great.

Well, so much for the all chariot, all-the-time army. It's still doable but you cant make every chariot the leader of his own one-model unit anymore.

AoS 2 - Nighthaunt Discussion
in Death
Posted · Edited by Euphanism
Nighthaunt folks! I've realized that I have a 2000 point list for every Death faction except this one. However, after painting 90 skeletons and 80 Mortek, I'm not really wanting to do another horde list. Is there a way to play Nighthaunt somewhat-decently at a lower model count? Most of the lists I see tend to have 40-60 blobs in them (and at $50 for ten my wallet weeps). I'm not looking to take a top table or anything, just not die in the first turn.
If it helps I really like the idea of having Olynder, Kurds, and Reikenor on the table at once, but I realize thats probably hindering my list for artifacts and whatnot.
