That doesn't seem to be the case based on comments on various Social Media platforms.  I actually think the controversy and people who did get the game, painting it and saying what a fun game it is, has actually made it more attractive.  Time will tell in fairness!

And I've scheduled in a zoom based game of this on the 2nd!  Woohoo!

    How did it go?
How did you set up the board/cameras?

  2. I just don't get why they didn't give to small boy Radukar an ability to transform in Chad Radukar.

Premise: I don't look for the best competitive force.
Looking at cursed city models, trying to make them work, I noticed that Gorslav can bring back even Dire wolves...
A 20 strong pack with Wolf Gramma that can come back to life (well, half of it) does not seem so bad.

  3. Can I vent my frustration?

So, I bought cursed city and was hoping to be able to play with the models.

-Bat and rat swarms have no rules
-Radukar got a beautiful model that you can't run with the other cursed city stuff, when it could have been handle as Morathi adding a rule to th normal one, stating that when it dies, on a roll of something+ you can transform him. This way it stays fluffy and you can run the beast alone.
-Vyrkos dynasty was made for Cursed City and is lore-heavy, HOWEVER the rules do not fit at all with the models inside cursed city and barely work with the other named characters. Furthermore, can they take the traits and relics, since they are named? Only the two non Cursed city models have the rule that makes them general in addition. So they have created a super fluff list that feels botched if I play it "as intended"?
-Cursed city gang got a price bump and most things got nerfed (maybe only Torgillius got a power up)

Overall I did not care wether the book was super good or not, nor if they force me to play all the Cursed city models, because its the vyrkos lore that they have told us since the first time they showed Cursed City.
However, seeing that they obviously made rules that do not fit with those models, I have almost lost interest in building a new army.

  4. With the list you have:

try to make him charge only the units you want with as many of his units as possible. This means screening with a long line of ghouls. They are going to die anyway. Orks are superfast and killy, so you need to make him pay for killing your units. That’s a basic trade-off rule. Gristlegore can easily do it using the Call to War ability. If he kills you monster, you can attack back (twice if you have the CPs) and make him bleed.

As I said, it’s only a matter of better trade off. They are way too fast to be avoided and they usually play many units, so alpha strike is not viable

Hey guys, dumb question, but does the spell "enhance battle shields" also buff your mortek guard that have the soulcleaver greatblade? The warscrolls says you replace only the weapon option so... Are they still considered to have their shields?

    Does he have a shield?

    No.

I am sorry but it’s a silly question you already knew the answer.

So I built my terrorgheist kit, and apparently the front left claw rock thing does not fit flush with the other rock formations. What's an easy way to fill the gap between the rock formation and the base?

I used cardboard which got then covered by sand and texture

  7. Hello!

    1) it really depends what you are looking for, what list you want to play, if you need mobility, survivability or additional damage;

    2) Yes, but I think you should think the list around the Royal mordants batallion

    3) It depends on the list, but GK on foot is always good

  8. General with Savage Strike attacks out of normal sequence, at the start of the combat phase.

You can think of it as a Phase 0, after which you play as usual, so you can choose one of your units to fight with.

Doing so, you effectively attack with two units in a row

Looking for some guidance on writing up a list. I've not much experience playing flesh eaters yet.

I've come from playing nurgle where I have a lot more starting wounds and wondering if I need to invest in an anvil unit(s)?

Mainly relying on the TG and ZD for damage put put with the horrors mopping up the rest.

Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance  :)

    Allegiance: Flesh Eater Courts

    Battalions
    King's Ghouls (120)

    Endless Spells / Terrain

    Total: 1980 / 2000
    Extra Command Points: 2
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 93

You can give 2 mount traits, thanks to the battalion. Give Gruesome bite to the TG and razor clawed to the dragon.

Make sure to choose a legal trait for the general: you have picked the Gristlegore one.

Magic, I suggest Spectral host in the AR, as bonestorm is not very good (not at all).

You can play around the Slaaneshi locus very easy, get 2 units in combat with them, charge them with the Gristlegore general, don't engage the Keeper, doppelganger cloak, we've got options, all armies have options to deal with Slaanesh, almost no one had a counter to Gristlegore. Always fighting first is not the same as making another unit fight last and not even really in the same league, it's annoying sure but not at all unfair...Slaanesh's summoning is another matter entirely

I think the Locus is too strong, you can roll for every hero you have, for every unit your opponent has within 6” and in both turns.

it’s almost worse than the Gristelgheist, ALMOST.

  11. Gristlegore is “best” played with 2 mounted kings, magic support and chaff.

this is a bit sad, as the court should encourage players to use unridden  monsters, but due to abilities effecting also mounted heroes, it’s more efficient to just skip normal TG and ZD imho
